GOCamCrypt - Crypt JPEG

GOCamCrypt (Guiart GOCamCrypt) for Android provides end-to-end JPEG file content encryption for email message attachments and cloud storage. GOCamCrypt encrypts and decrypts JPEG files directly without the need to log into a website. Symmetric key generation gives the highest possible protection for sensitive contents. Images are saved only in encrypted files when the encryption key is available.

GOCamCrypt has two functional parts: Camera and Cryptography. Camera is easy to use camera to take pictures for documentary and other purposes. Cryptography fills the highest security requirements for JPEG image file encryption to a very secure file format and decryption back to standard JPEG image files. Encryption key is 8 characters long.

This program cryptographically hashes and salts generated passwords according to the recommendations made in ISO 11770 standards. Combinations of SHA-2 cryptographic hash functions and Triple DES encryption and decryption ensure standard high quality cryptographic robustness.

To maintain high security level for password and key values used in encryption and decryption:
• Use unic phrases: Your phrase 1 should be unique and known to you and the receiver of your message.
• Don’t reuse phrases: Your phrase 2 should be unique to your message or date.
• Make sure your phrases are difficult to guess: Your phrase should be at least four characters in length. It should contain a mix of different character sets, such as upper case letters (A-Z), lower case letters (a-z) and also digits (0-9) or special characters (# $ % & - _ { }).

Encryption key generation

Key generation is done automatically using easy to remember phrases. GOCamCrypto cryptographically hashes and salts generated passwords according to the recommendations made in ISO 11770 standards. Combinations of SHA-2 cryptographic hash functions and Triple DES encryption and decryption ensure standard high quality cryptographic robustness. Different methods of attack
are foiled by storing random values, called a cryptographic salt, along with the password and the JPEG data. Salt used is always at least 32 bits.

US export laws

GOCamCrypt complies with United States export laws, including any requirements for software with encryption functions. According to these laws products with key lengths not exceeding 56 bits symmetric are authorized for export from the United States.
