Growl for Android for Android
S6, menu button is missing / not emulated :(
Not working, I can't even add a server/subscription because app constantly crashes.
Due to very obsolete ui design. If you don't have a menu button on your phone steer away.
Not working, I can't even add a server/subscription because app constantly crashes.
Constantly just stops running. It'll even continue to show the notification, but if you check the app it'll be stopped.
Works quite well on my HTC Z. I really want an option to remove the ongoing message in the notification area, however.
Stops unexpectedly when I turn it on. Won't let me add. Won't appear in aTrackDog to uninstall and track when it updates :( Uninstalling
Is it possible to use with the prowl web service? That's what I'd love.
Bit buggy but core function works great for me. HTC desire.
Doesn't work with HTC hero 2.1
Doesn't work on Mac because its market share is too low to bother with! Get a real computer ;-)
Works but very prone to breaking when the phone kills the app. Mac users need to use Growl1.3.
Does not work at all. Should have tested more.
Doesnt work with Macs, so its useless to me
Doesn't work with Macs which makes this a non-starter. Do people even use Growl in Windows?
Doesn't work @ all on Evo2.2 to iMac. Cannot find Evo in the applications tab on iMac.
Useless on modern systems
Great idea but flawed as currently stands. It's turning itself on... this is not ready for Market & should remain on Google Code until out of alpha.
tried all the combinations, and while I was able to show subscribed computers, none of them actually forwarded or received notifications from the applications.
Works like a charm! Option for hiding the growl icon in the notification bar would make it perfect.
Followed instructions to no avail. App or instructions are not working.
Good in concept, but that's not enough!
Used this App as a receiver of Growl notifications over LAN by subscribing to Growl for Windows notifications and it worked great showing all Growl notifications on my Android! Pros: SIMPLE No Complicated Email Registrations Required No Special Registration Code for App to work No Limit to Number of Notifications with Free App (others have 5 notifications/day) Cons: More stability required to give it 5Stars Might crash sometimes during setup of subscriptions Hints: Use IP if hostname not working when doing "Add Subscription" Review instruction note on developer website: Applications registered on Growl for Windows need to be restarted for initial setup. Note: Have not tested this App as a Growl sender
Constantly just stops running. It'll even continue to show the notification, but if you check the app it'll be stopped.
If you can't get yours working, RTFM (see the dev site for instructions) You can do some really geeky stuff. I have an iPod touch running a web server, a PHP script sends a growl (when something important happens) to my PC and that forwards it to my Android tablet now!
Is crashing...wish it worked.
Poor
Fantastic app, I use it to get notifications from my pc when ae renders finish! People who mark 1 star are noobs who don't know how to set growl up!
Everything seems configured right, but there's no response on my Nexus 7 when I trigger a notification in Growl on Mountain Lion. Booooo.
I have only used it for an hour and it has crashed once already so that is not a good sign. Thx to the author for his hard work but it does need a little love.
Follow the instructions and it works perfectly, keep the features coming!
I'm giving up. It crashes all day long. The icon is always displayed even when it's off. Nexus 4
I've gone through the instructions and am unable to get it to work on my thrive. Also having crashing issue as previous people have described.
Crap, starts when I said stop, doesn't work. Unofficial.
Doesnt work if it stays running. Crashes more oftern than not. sgs2
Works fine. Though notification needs to not be themed and would be good to have support for the old UDP protocol.
Crashing all the time on S2. Would happily pay for something that doesn't.
Constantly just stops running. It'll even continue to show the notification, but if you check the app it'll be stopped.
Crashes every few hours even when not configured, configured correctly (?) it doesn't receive notifications and crashes. Using on a note 2 and Mac.

All it shows is on/off button on my s7. No msgs shown. Notification failed 400 msg when I attempt using growl notify.
