The Marshmallow update helped reduce this apps random bipolar outbursts but it still skips pieces of and sometimes whole songs, fails to connect, freezes & crashes.

I can't try yet playing with a guitar and in the T. V.

Good player for cars

Not sure if there was an update from Android, Samsung or GROM, but this app has recently stopped working for me. It does not start up automatically when connected to the GROM adapter and does not play music over the stereo. Have tried reinstalling it multiple times and turning on/off USB debugging with no luck. Up-to-date on firmware as well as AALinQ. Phone is stock Samsung S7 on Android 6.0.1. Contacted Grom support, but no response yet.

When it does work its great, but everyday like now which is why im typing this so maybe youd fix it better and right now. It just diconnects, freezes, shutsdown, or crashes the whole phone. Sometime I cant even pic a song if its not in a playlist, fix it and you got 6 stars coming from everyone. Please fix this weekend your last update was in february its time for a new one now. I use this app on a note 5 and samsung tab3 same issues on both.

Plays songs randomly even though I never start the app

Every update is nothing but a headache, and is causes distractions while I'm driving. Grom Audio is becoming a nightmare... I don't need help, the app needs help.

The app cannot read FLAC tags correctly. It fails to read the 'ALBUM' title, instead displaying 'ARTIST=(artist name)'. My albums are in individual folders too, so the app isn't using folder structure either. All my tags are written using Mp3Tag in Windows and are read correctly in HTC Music, Google Play Music, Double Twist and PowerAmp. Even video players are reading the tags correctly. Mp3 tags are showing correctly but I wish to play my lossless music via my Grom so the app is pretty much useless to me until my FLACs are organised as they should be. Because of this fundamental failing, I haven't fully used the app so can't give it more than one star. I have the original Grom unit so USB streaming is not an option for me.

It could be the app, it could be the unit, but eitherway both are utterly unreliable. The app randomly stops or fails to launch. Regularly the unit fails to communicate with the app. Regularly i.e. everyday have to clear the app cache to get it to run - do you know this is an in car app. The grom unit usb3 is also horrendously unreliable, and neyond fussy when it comes to usb sticks tripped up by the smallest issue. Installed update on Samsung Note 3 and now fails to even open. Even after full uninstall and re-install. This app has been getting progressively worse with every update to a point it is now useless. Really poor customer service to those that have invested in the Grom hardware - feel cheated. Edit: developer fixed problem quickly and now runs and works, so thank you for the fix. Let's now just keep it that way!

Complete garbage. To start with directions are very poorly written and offer nothing useful in terms of getting this set up once installed. The usb connection and app interface in my case can only locate 2 albums on my phone even though I have hundreds of songs on there. For some reason even when using the headphone jack which I have been relegated to, the unit shuts off the car radio whenever I turn the car off. Yesterday I needed to use the usb to charge the phone (Samsung Note 4) turned the car off and when I returned couldn't access any of the pre programmed inputs for the !!! Even the input channel for the headphone was unavailable! I don't understand how a company can put out such rubbish. I wish I'd read the reviews before purchasing this thrash ughhh.

Can't steam anything, Media must be on phone. Get the bt adapter or don't buy grom at all

This was a great product when i got it over two years ago. Now every time the app gets updated, something else goes wrong. The music starts over every time i plug it in. When i get a notification, the music stops and i have to unplug and plug the USB for it to work again. Now the box throws my airbag and seat belt codes so it's not usable any more.

This is the most annoying garbage I have used, doesn't play music through USB most of the time, my music turn on randomly by it self lol, fix it or give up

Tried it, uninstalled it. __ GEE, WHY? The second screen I opened "someone unknown" called sj wants permission into my tablet. Who is this sj and why. I disallowed and the program froze. ==>Bunch of BS if you ask me. __ I gotta ask, WHY CAN WE NOT GET THINGS IN THIS WORLD TO WORK THE WAY "WE USERS" WANT?

Git this so i could hook up my Samsung to my honda accord to listen to music. Use to work ok. Then since the older updates i can inly listen to music by plugging in the 1/8" adapter and listen. Using the mini usb has a mind of its own and i cant get it to play ar all anyore....and if it does play it selects some random album ang no player shows up in my running orogram list so i can't turn it off. I keep updating nut nothings helped. Program sucks....is software for similar hardware that may work

I downloaded for 1 reason, to have a single-screen music dashboard for in the car. On Google I found some nice pretty screenshots of this app but inside it's ugly like an amateur student app and no skins or view options. The now playing screen has this stupid grey bar with 'Local' permanently covering. Couldn't find how to remove this.

BT streaming to the Grom unit plugged into the CD changer on my car using steering wheel controls. That's all I want and it's fine.

Obnoxious chirping noises when skipping tracks, shuffle mode spontaneously turns itself off, can't even alphabetize artist listings correctly, fails to play the first ~half-second of each track, often requires unplugging & replugging because playback just stops for no reason...overall, a remarkably poor-quality piece of software.

Works well with the Grom unit through my Honda Accord audio system. Its taken some time but eventually looks to be much more reliable. Dont have to keep unplugging the cable and reconnecting it as before. Plays all my files ok Flac Mp3 etc and sounds great.

Looks like most of the bugs that I had have been fixed. The only issue I am having now is when I get a notification the music pauses. When it starts to play again, sometimes it will have a really loud noise like it is rewinding before it starts playing again.

App either crashes or ofter does not connect to hardware even though phone Samsung Galaxy S5 reports it connected. Gets even more confused if you have bluetooth and connect via usb. Also can we have track titles on the car screen please as we can have playtime?

Used to connect to Grom box flawlessly until software updates created huge problems over a year ago. Since then, updates have only fixed some problems and created new ones. Frequently disconnects between songs, when I start the car, switch to radio and back to Grom, or when I get a call or text message. I have to unplug and replug my phone over and over for it to reconnect which is annoying while driving! Please fix! RE: Ok thanks for the info, looking forward to next week's update. Would be great to have this working again because it is a brilliant device when it works.

Not as bad as some others make it out to be but the annoying static between tracks has got to go!

I was already upset when I found out I couldn't use the actual Google music app. Then I downloaded this app and the first time I set it up all 148 of my songs were just one song so I hit the sync button and now all of my songs are gone.

There are many things wrong with this app. The app does not have gapless playback, so every song the first 1 second is chopped off. If I receive any notifications at all, the app freezes and I must unplug and replug the phone, at which point the song starts over instead of playing from where it paused. There are duplicate songs in half of my albums that don't play, so playing an album will freeze every other song. You can't delete a song from playlists. So many issues from a proprietary app, unacceptable!

Not until they fix the bugs (if ever), it will not recognise all of the music on my Google play library, about half of all the songs get recognised as this one track so half of my music is unavailable. And it pics songs at random as some of the ones that are available are from before i signed up to the google music subscription service and some from after, though more from before

Update. I use it mostly without TuneIn now. Nice that I dont have to have a separate TuneIn app installed. Recording is also a great feature. Maybe a couple of crashes, no big deal. OnePlus and BMW 3 series.

Every update has new issues, Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn´t. If it woukd work as it should it would be nice because it has nice functionalities

I have been working with this app for over a year now. Each update causes more problems than it fixes! I have given up and wish I had chosen a different solution because the grom unit sucks big time!!!!!
