Grocery King Shopping List

It's just ok. Better than most. If you add a new product it doesn't save it in the system, so if you remove it from your list you will have to remake it again. Like the cookbook. It's nice to add your own recipes instead of just searching online like most apps (you can search online too in GK) . Wish you can make a dinner plan for the week and let it remind you to cook what on the correct day. I paid for the full version and I will keep it till I find something better.

This USED to be the absolute best app out there and WELL worth the nominal fee for the paid version. My husband and I lived and died with it for years. But syncing has stopped working. We've tried everything, even signing up under a new account and nothing works. Emailed the developer on several occasions but got no response. If you're buying this because you want to share your list OR because you don't want to lose it when you change new phones, you'll be disappointed. I know I'm crushed that I now have to look elsewhere.

I really want to give this app 5 stars. I've tried a lot of shopping list apps and this is the best. However, I bought a new phone and haven't been able to move my customized db over to the new phone. I had the free version. So I decided to upgrade to the paid version but I still can't get my customized db on the new phone. I can't even get the db from the the free version to the paid version on my old phone. I also couldn't get the cloud sync to work even with the paid version. I got an error every time I tried. I tried emailing the author but haven't heard a peep back from them. Now I have to decide whether to keep this app and recreate my db by hand or to search again to find a different app. When I last did a survey of available apps, I didn't find any that I truly liked as much as grocery king.

I've been using this app since 2013 on a couple of devices, was working great, fully customizable and then, the server sync stopped working since Nov.2016... Not able to sync any device now. Sent an email to the developer, no answer. I'm using the paid version of this app, still work on one device but can't sync with others... Now useless for me...

This app is worthless. I received zero response from the Developers after attempting contact on multiple occasions. I spent hours setting up an inventory only to find out after purchase that the sync feature doesn't work. Without the sync feature, the app is worthless. It's very disappointing. What a rip-off, Google should remove this app from the Play Store immediately.

They NEVER respond. Built up database over last 12 months or so, catalogued everything in the house. Changed phone... No sync. No response or even acknowledgement from GK. Par for the course it seems, as I paid not once but twice for this; they never responded to that query either. Very disappointing.

I like this app. When it work it does everything I want of it. After my phone crashed a week ago I tried to reset sync. The password doesn't work, I've tried to reset multiple times from the app, that doesn't work. The developer doesn't answer emails and it looks like the sync server doesn't exist any more. Last update was more than a year ago.

Can't save my own list, categories I listed, etc.. I had to reset my phone back to the manufacture and lost all that I saved on the this app specifically. I noticed it has not been updated in a long time along with them not responding back to my email

I had this app installed and used it for awhile. Now the app won't synch with the rest of my family. Tried push all/pull all from settings, no luck. Uninstalled/reinstalled (which required paying again) still broken. Don't waste your time or money. This app is bunk.

Hopefully there database expands quickly. I am using it for much more than grocery items. Every kind of store is my goal. With that in mind, please add more icons related to things you can buy at places like Target, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, etc.

Upgraded to the paid premium version when I got a new phone. Now can't log in so I can't use the app. I've tried for a week and have sent multiple emails to Grocery King support but get no response. I want my money (and wasted time) back.

It is broken at the moment. The lists are getting corrupted when you click on "Checkout". Lists are combining or only the first item is shown. Has been happening for a couple of months now. No response from dev. Maybe they no longer support it. They don't answer emails either. Don't sell something you don't support.

Recently downloaded this app due to a craptastic update from another app I had been using for a cpl yrs. I wld like to know how to sync with another phone so 2 of us can shop at the same time and see real time what's been got and what's not

Have used this app for a few years & really enjoyed it & rely on it. However, in the last couple months, there have been problems updating with my family's phones. I contacted the developer & was told they had been having some server issues, but it was fixed. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Husband uninstalled & reinstalled the app several times, but everytime he tries to sign in, he gets a server error. Emailed the developer several times, but now they are not responding at all. Not happy. :-(

I got a new phone and now I cannot log in any more. It gives me a server error message. I contacted the developer but got no response. I see there are others too. I think this app is no longer supported.

I used out of milk for several years, even bought the pro version. Then they screwed it up with an update several months ago and never fixed it right. Kind of glad they did, this app is way better in a lot of ways. Always syncs well.

I have used this app for a while. I loved because I could share beween dvices. That is until recently. Now all I get is a message saying that I cannot push or pull anything from the cloud because of a server issue. Even worse is I have emailed the developer AND purchased the app again only to have this issue in BOTH versions of the app. I hope you fix this quickly.

I used to love this app but now it no longer syncs because it says there is a server issue. It also does not recognize my password. I have requested a password reset several times, but I have not heard back from them. So now this app is just about useless for me.

After paying for the full version and spending weeks building my inventory, now I am not able to sync my new phone with the server. Weeks of work wasted. I sent 4 emails to the developer asking for help. Absolutely no response.

Is the server down again? It won't sync to the other device. I logged out, and can't log back in. I tried the Forgot Password and it says Server Error. I got past the Password Error, now it won't Pull Data from the Server. Sent email almost a week ago, and responce. Awesome lack of support for paying customers!

I really love this app, it does everything I want, except the rewards card portion is not anywhere near as good as another app I used to use. it doesn't have a very big bank of cards that it already excepts. for example it won't accept my Walgreens card because the Walgreens card is partially bar-code partially QR code. when that part of grocery king is updated I will gladly come back and give it five stars

Uninstalling now bec it has NEVER synced my data, NOT ONCE. Really expensive too compared to other apps

Was a great App did everything I wanted. Then it appears it stopped being supported. Can't get the app to sync. Tried emailing the developer but received no response. It's too bad because it was awesome!

The service that supports this app is throwing exceptions and is completely broken. I tried to reach out to the developer with the issue but have no response. Avoid this app if you are buying it for the sync capabilities.

Used to love this app hence why I paid for it. I had to reset my phone and after downloading the app I had a sync error, and emailed support. No response, none of my data that took almost 3 weeks to input is showing up and now it's all a waste

Paid for the premium service for two devices. Was a great app until 11/2016 when sync stopped working. Uninstalled and reinstalled, changed password, etc. with no change. Support does not respond. Appears they may be out of business.

Shame very good app. But Dev has stop support. Lists cannot be synced to the server as you cannot pull newly updated lists. I emailed them 2 weeks ago with no reply. All I can is they have they money and ran!

Right now I'm very mad that no one has contacted me from 4 days ago from this company. I've used this app for a few years and paid for premium but the other night it wouldn't sync between my phone and tablet and I emailed them. Still waiting for an answer and now I can't even sign in.

What a shame!! Broken and no support available. The developers do not respond to anything. This use to be one of the best applications of it's type with lots of great features. Very disappointed now as one of it's key features does not work, it does not synchronize data. The Syncing is not working and has not been working for some time!!! I really use to like this app, which I was happy to pay for the premium version and it worked really well for a period with lots great features but..... have had trouble for months with it syncing. It does not sync. I have emailed the support group a number of times with no response! Really would like some help to fix my issue. Would be happy to provide a better rating and review for a working app.

I lost all my data. I can't transfer to my new phone. I can't figure it out? Grocery king has not responded to my many cries for help. I'm going to dump this app and try something else if I can't resolve.

I downloaded this thinking that if I plugged in my recipes and went thru them adding different items to my list is would keep a running tally of the items that I hit mulitple times. For example, if I make Teriyaki Chicken and Sesame Chicken I should be able to hit Chicken on both recipes and my list say 2. It doesnt do this. Am I missing something???

There are several User Interface problems. Lots of options but weird and mysterious, and often baffling ways you have make things happens. Like i said, it works well, and performs as expected, after you learn how to use the weirdness.

Was promised a web interface in the fall of 2012 and we are still waiting... The developer now ignores any request or inquiry regarding the web interface.

They need to fix the recipe section to upload into grocery list and be able to upload receipt copy from file instead of forcing you to use camera. Wish bar code scanner read my loyalty cards better, too. Otherwise, this app is the bomb! Happily bought upgraded version and highly recommended it to my friends and family ☆

When Gk came out I gave it 5 stars but I dropped it to two now.This APP will take a time or two in the store to get used to but it works. Don't look for a desktop version anytime soon. It has been promised for OVER two years now. The fix for the desktop version is BLUESTACKS, an Android to Pc converter, but after several requests, and the developer saying he "was working on it", no landscape mode in Gk so you have a small window with smaller text to work in on a Pc or Tablet. Don't waste your money or time!

I love being able to make a list from my "favourites" list while I'm at home, then my husband can go buy the groceries, while he's out with the car. This app has improved, over the years, but still has syncing issues, sometimes. It's easy to check off items as we shop. I like that we can use different lists for different stores, as we prefer certain items at certain stores. This app definitely makes life a little easier.

I use this on a regular basis. The inventory control aspect is increasing in features and function. Highly recommended. However, it does need the ability to track/manage multiple lots of a product, and their individual expiration dates. Still..... (6/25/2016)

USED to be the best. I've searched for & used many different grocery shopping apps, but none compare to what this one WAS. I could attach pictures, coupons, prices, or tax to items. I could rearrange and label the aisle tags however I wanted. I could set my own tax rate. I got a running total of what I'd spend, which is great for budgeting. NOT ANYMORE. For over 3 months, I haven't been able to use the app because it "unfortunately stops." I've reported this many times, but NOTHING has changed. PLEASE FIX!

I've been using it for years. It does everything I want it to do. I especially like the fact it backs up to the cloud.

A good app which is very useful. It has one fault, that the dev can't seem to fix. The GPS icon flashes the whole time you are in the app. Why. It is very distracting and just plain annoying. Please fix it.
