Grindr - Gay chat, meet & date

What a tremendous waste of time this app is. Somehow it's infinitely worse than going to a bar. No one responds and if they do it's "looking?" or "sex"?; that's if you're lucky and don't get harassed. Users on Grindr and Scruff have the social skills of a shovel. Trashy community + trashy app = lousy experience.

Way tooooooo many ads! (Yes in really mean it). And video ads are a real pain! It upsets me so much. I open the app... There's an ad.. i tap on the 1st profile i want to see... There's a video app... Cmon!!! Really thinking into using another app STOP THE VIDEO ADS!! so annoying specially when you want to browse with discretion!! So stupid

Used to be half decent.. now every profile you try and look at you cop ads for Wizard of Oz pokies! Not to mention the infectious sounds from the ads blocking out my music playing in the background! Time to look at alternatives I think!

I have no idea why it constantly tells me my messages aren't going thru and then you would see people responding to the red boxed text... And then you are in constant wonder whether it's technical or people not responding... awful

Obviously the app is dieing out. they are losing paid subscriptions and the aggresive video ads shows that is happening.. it may still be the most popular app. But its a dieing thing.. in 2012 it was great but now there are nothing but hookers drugies and a load of fake profiles and im not even talking about the bot profiles.. if u want to find a hookup i suggest going out to your local places instead of dealing with the bs tbis app brings..

It uses tp be great, but now the ads are freaking loud as hell and never ending. Did i mention they were loud!!!! Like when u wake up at 3am and you jump on to have a quick perve, click on a profile and BAM!!!! Goddam loud ad... thanks grindr for ruining the serenity

Video ads when clicking on a profile = 1 star. There's a reason even Google is looking to get rid of those. I'll keep renewing this review until they're gone.

Ads have ruined the app. They literally bombard you with ads at every opportunity. Even just selecting a profile. They make you watch ads. Very disappointing.

This app keeps getting worse. The ads that loudly pop up when u hit someone's profile are super annoying. I have my phone on silent and it still supersedes it. Really rude when I'm in a quiet location.

As the days are passing by I hate this app more and more. Constant lags and message not received notification pop up but no change in them despite every update. I need to wait like 100 hundred years before checking one message. Cleared my cache and stuff but still same issues persist. I just have one recommendation for you people. Don't add new updates and features if you can't correct the old issues first. Please make it worthy to use like the good old days else will need to find some alternative to this app

Deserves 0 stars now. Forcing adverts onto your users is totally bang out of order. No other app does this plus the video adverts are using people's data up... STOP THIS NOW. All you are doing is pissing off your users to the extent that users will delete their profiles and go elsewhere to better apps. YOU OBVIOUSLY ARE NOT LISTENING TO YOUR USERS...... FORCED ADDS = APP FORCED CLOSE. Am using this app less and less now due to these pathetic forced adverts.

You can now see less guys than ever before upgrading and somehow there are even more adds. A single payment for upgrading would make sense, but a monthly fee could not possibly be an incentive for someone to spend their money on this app. Generally good app, yet becoming less relevant thanks to what seems like bad business decisions.

The advertisements are increasingly intrusive. Playing a fruit machine game video ad, complete with loud and obnoxious soundtrack (irrespective of whether the phone is in silent mode) is sure to cause embarrassment when you're trying to use Grindr without drawing attention to yourself. Furthermore you can't close down or silence the ad! I force shutdown of Grindr every time. But hey, the support team "totally understands how you feel and is trying hard to resolve this".

When i login here it shows to complete the verification stem i trying it from last 1 week but its still countinew that is ennoyed dnt know how many tym show the picture i am tried to verify that. I hate it..???? its very fuddu app dnt download it

It's fun, but most of my time on the app is spent retrying to send messages. I frequently even get responses to messages that say they've failed!

You can end up with the account Banned out of the blue. Customer service is slow and their answers evasive... No reason to have it banned and as well it seams that even if you have a paid account you can be banned and you loose all.. It happen to me 2 times this year..

I never write bad reviews but this app has gone way down hill. The ads and bots are out of control. If it continues I will probably never use Grindr again.

What the duck is it with the video ads popping up????? And please don't say "oh no ..... contact us" by email that automated response is insulting to the users and shows you don't care about these reviews

The advertisement is white background, and so is the "X" button to close it. You can't see at all. On to of that the advertisement open with the sound blaring. So much for being quiet about your grinding.

Gender pronouns, really? Weren't there only 2? Why did you introduce a "tap" function? Isn't this supposed to be a "chat" app? You've made people lazier, which is amazing! Adverts are a real problem too, just spontaneously popping up. ????

Awful if you don't fit the fit hot profile you will never meet anyone worst App ever. It's sad that in today's society if you are a little bigger or don't fit the norm your an outcast sad sad.

For a cruising app it is pretty good. Pity one can't filter out all the users addicted to methamphetamine and are predatory in nature. Many are just looking for someone to mooch off of

I like that there's a variety of guys and never a shortage of people to meet and it's down to earth. But there's more creepers here than usual. I've RARELY met a guy here who actually wants to date...The majority here are just for hook-ups. I guess that's what it's for, and it's great at it. ???? It used to be better but the EXPLOSION of advertisements has decreased my favor for this app overall. Some is fine but there's just too many! And worst of all, is that the apps use up my limited data because a sizable portion of them are videos! ????

Came back to see if it had gotten better, boy was I wrong! The MASSIVELY intrusive ads that play at full volume, even when your phone is on silent, are a massive downfall. Open in public at your own discretion, you and people within 200 metres will hear the ad!

Ads are now so aggressive they pop up at full volume when you try to view a profile. Takes multiple tries to send messages. There are better alternatives out there, but everyone flocks to this app for some reason.

Grindr used to be a much better app. Now you can be using it and all the sudden an extremely LOUD video comes on. Quite inappropriate and embarrassing. It lasts 15 seconds and you feel like crawling in a hole. This really needs to be removed.

The new update to the app is ridiculous. The adds that pop up when you message are beyond a joke. If grindr wasn't the first app of its kind and so well known I think it would be out of business. The developers need to seriously look at the way the adds on this app are displayed

It's gone downhill from the glory days. Too many loud adverts, embarrassing that's what it is. 15 seconds just to view a profile sometimes not on. Would pay to get rid of ads but it's now a ridiculous amount used to be 99p a fair few years ago for a month. Remember that, pepperidge farm remembers.

Ads are stupidly intrusive. Nobody is going to pay for Grindr Xtra even if it's $5 a month for a yearly subscription. Nobody is horny enough to unlock guys more than a few miles away from them. This app needs to get over itself and realize that people will sooner close the app than watch a 15 second ad or pay for any type of a premium account.

Its an ok app. But the ads are getting a bit mich. You click on profiles and an ad will pop up, sometimes ypu cant even close it unless ypu view it a certain amount of seconds. Used to be more accessable and fun when grindr didnt sell out for more money. Typical

Well... All these annoying ads won't force me into paying for Grindr, but what it does do is force me into not using it very much! But the times I do use it, when the annoying 30 second add appear, that does give me the chance to pop to the toilet or put the kettle on and when I get back it's been played and I've missed it all! Happy days :)

What's with the aggressive ads? This app is falling behind the times, you have to pay (which i never will) for basic features other apps give you for free. Other apps don't have near as aggressive adds, give you more room to talk about yourself, more personalization options for free. Grindr has been and will continue to be a joke. But that's what you get when you have a gay dating site owned by straight people

The only app where you have to pay (which I won't) for push notifications unlike with Scruff, Growlr, or even Tinder, which don't charge. The absolute worst thing about the app though by far, us that to unblock someone you have to unblock EVERYONE. You can't unblock individual users. It's like opening the gates of hell. I'd give it a 5-star rating just for that feature alone.

There are better apps than Grindr unfortunately this is the most popular... It's glitchy, multiple times when I receive a photo it doesn't show up on the screen, so I have to ask to be resend. I wish I can upload multiple photos, it's very annoying upload one by one.

My account gets banned for no reason, no explanations and no warning. I read your rules and guidelines and I'm still being banned. I'm not telling people off or threatening others. I think I'm too sexy to be in here and my competition is jealous so they report me to have me banned

A weirdo has reported me 4 times in a month and the stuff only blocks me and ask me to identified myself... The worst experience with the stuff even when I have been clear and sent pictures as profs of this. Unbelievable ????

Too many bots. Can not get rid of them fast enough. Can't even send messages. This app is constantly screwing up. Fix it and I will raise the rating. Now I cant even use my phone network. This app is getting ridiculous.

I like meeting guys on grinder. Sometimes its just hit and miss. I would love to settle down with some nice Young Man that has ambitions in life. Tall or short medium, skinny, averaged. Loving me for me!!!

New app is no good keeps misbehaving and the new taps feature actually covers up profile text. Test your designs properly before release!

The description says "Grindr - exclusively for gay, bi and curious men." However, when you create an account there is the option to declare your gender as "trans woman, woman or cis woman" and there are a growing number of users who identify women. How is this consistent with the purpose of the app? The admin team will probably submit some politically correct reply about being inclusive which indicates they are out of touch with the whole point of the app: for men to meet men.
