You asked, we delivered! Premium version comes without ads and have an option to auto-run trimming at specified schedule - set it once, forget about lags forever! You can find it here http://bit.ly/Vx4ATs
It comes from different publisher because Google does not allow publishing of paid apps from my country.
Warning! This app should only be used by ADVANCED users! If you do not understand what it does - DO NOT USE IT! You can find fstrim() man in Google and more information on XDA - http://bit.ly/10VJRPt. RTFM before asking any questions or rating this app bad!
Some Android users suffer from poor performance after some days/weeks of heavy usage. This is due to a well-known TRIM bug affecting these devices (users report Nexus devices and HTC One devices are affected). Kernels with -discard mount option are NOT affected!
The source of the problem is that internal storage is not properly TRIMmed when needed. You can find lots of information on XDA - http://bit.ly/11VUJvQ and http://bit.ly/14gMsBg It is also well-known fact that running fstrim Linux tool from time to time fixes the issue until internal memory runs out of free blocks. Other solutions like mounting with -discard or disabling fsync may be slow or dangerous.
LagFix is a user-friendly implementation of fstrim utility. It allows you to select which partitions to trim (you should leave defaults unless you know what you are doing) and run the process easily.
Please note that fstrim output depends on kernel and device. It works fine unless you see errors. You might see big amounts of bytes, zero amount or repeating amount. All are fine! Read fstrim manual to understand why all these outputs are valid.
It is also advised to reboot your device after the TRIM process so that kernel could reinitialize block data.
Because now, it doesn't work on nexus 7 2012 after in update my device on android 5.0, error: only position independent executables (PIE) are supported.... Please update it, support Lollipop. PLEASE! BTW: By terminal emulator the fstrim works...
My Asus tf300t tablet was basically unusable because it lagged so bad. This app brought it back from the dead 100%!!
Doesn't work. "Error: Only position independent executables (pie) are supported"
I found out about this app while looking into my fixing my sluggish galaxy nexus. My keyboard would take a while to load up lagging key presses. Generally Really slow. This app fixed it right away. Love it
I have an Nook HD+ tablet with Cyanogenmod installed. The device, over time, became so sluggish that it was almost impossible to use. I started dumping apps thinking this was the problem. When that didn't work, I started looking for an app that would possibly clean the memory. I stumbled on to LagFix while searching for something completely different. I don't know why an Android device slows down over time, but LagFix brought my Nook back to life. If you have a device that has slowed over time, give LagFix a shot. You have nothing to lose, it's free and just might work. It worked for me.
This app saved my phone! My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 with CM12.1 and it was really laggy before i got this app! Took a while to grant root access but it all works now!
The app is good and i think it works but every time i have to open the app and that's very annoying and time consuming.... If developers can give a shortcut for this then it will be awesome
Bryan Cooper. The developer have clearly mentioned. THIS THING REQUIRES ROOT. Then Why the **** did u try this? Just to brick your phone? People like you who don't know to spell the word ROOT tries and brick your phone. You kind of people without literacy are the reason to discourage new innovations. At least respect that he is giving it for nothing.
Was ready to chuck my N7 on the scrap heap. Unresponsive, lagging, very frustrating! Did a quick root and used this app, now working perfectly. Thank you!
I just try it for less than a hour and the result is awsome... *Not work on lollipop v5.0.2 (Z3 Leo)
Tried to run on /data and /cache and got this: "error: only position independent executables (PIE) are supported" This is on a Nexus 7 (2013) with Android Lollipop 5.0.2. Need a fix people.
Just says "only position independent executables (PIE) are supported"
When my games lag or my phone is slow this is the app but i need to root (mine is rooted) ideal app to pirchase
It sometimes works on Nook HD devices, but then suddenly it not only doesn't work, but it will lock up your Nook and leave it unbootable.
Was a little skeptical, but this app kicks butt. Two year old droid RAZR maxx was really slow. Frequent hang ups to do almost anythung on the phone, including pulling up the keyboard. Couldn't use a few things. Now it works great.
My Nexus 7 had become very sluggish when swapping user accounts and was driving me nuts. Some research online brought me here and LagFix immediately cured the problem. I was happy to thank the author by buying the premium version and if it saves you as much grief as it did me, I hope you will too.
As an IT Professional I know that just like any operating system to keep my phone running well I need to keep things lean. But even after a factory wipe with no apps my phone would be crawling within hours. This app makes my phone continue to run fast with lots of apps and months after a factory wipe. Thank you for this wonderful app!
I thought the trim issues were supposed to be solved for the nexus7, but mine was still running super slow. Even with lean kernel. This app only cleans cache on Kit Kat, but it helps enormously. I took of one star for pretty clunky interface.
Ran it, screen went blank, won't turn back on. Great job of burying the warning within a URL, I literally JUST got my phone unbricked from a separate issue. DON'T RISK TRYING THIS APP.
So far have only used it once. My phone would barely operate and had slowed to a crawl. After using this app and rebooting, there has been a significant increase in performance.
My Nexus 7 (2012 model) was so slow to the point that I could barely even attempt to install this app and now after running fstrim it's fast again! Great app and thanks a lot!
There are very few apps in the Play store that are worth their paid versions, but this is definitely one of them. Huge difference. Thank you!
I am using nexus 10 and noticed slow response time even when swiping across home screen on the the launcher. I used the monitoring tools and found that CPU, memory usage were not the cause but rather the I/O...specifically, it is always hovering about 95% even when nothing is using it. Tried reboot many times and still the same. So i tried fstrim and a reboot and presto...it's back to project butter again! :)
This app is amazing. My nexus 7 2012 no longer run like my friend's iPod 1.
Doesn't remotely work. Says it will ask for root rights but you aren't, so "can not continue without root". Hoax or virus? Why take the risk?
Tried pay version and free says does not support trim on screen where you check the system data etc u want to trim. Great idea for people that don't have 4.3 to trim for them. Hope it works in the future! Glad it had a refund option!
You could've added a feature so that it recognizes which device requires reboot! That would've been a much lot simpler as it takes time to reboot! :)
I wanted to resetup my N10 for some time now to get performance back. Well I don't have to anymore :)
If you are experiencing a slow down on a Nexus 7 2012 running Kit Kat then this should fix the problem. It will take several minutes to run indicating a TRIM was indeed needed. It seems to have the same bug that plagued 4.2 and this is the answer
It made my Nexus 7 (2012) actually usuable again while installing app updates from the Play Store. If for any reason your PC doesn't recognize the device after running the app, just restart the device
It definitely helps performance on my phone. But I found something interesting... When I updated to 4.4.2 my camera app stopped working and I couldn't figure out why (been like this for a few weeks) Then today I ran this application and suddenly my stock camera app started working again. So I'm happy (:
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!! THIS APP SHOULD HAVE A HUGE WARNING SO EVERYONE COULD NOTICE RIGHT AWAY THAT IT CAN DESTROY YOUR DEVICE. KILLED MY NOOK HD+. THE APP MADE IT WORK FASTER THE FIRST TIME I USED IT, A MONTH LATER IT GOT SLOW AGAIN, WHEN I RAN THE APP AGAIN, IT BRICKED MY TABLET.
Wow! I was expecting a rebuild of the phone but this saved the day. Tried other 'speedup' apps with no avail. Really works!
i upgraded from cm11 m2 to m4, after 2 weeks my phone started to lag, although i tried every cleaner but still my phone was slower. then i tried this app and it feels as smooth as factory reset phone. you saved my lot of time developer. i wanted to give you 6 stars
See no change under androbench:( But for now things seem much smoother and faster.not sure if its just the rebooting or this thing actually works
I tried it just because I wanted to see if it would make any difference. I don't know if it's a placebo or not but my phone feels faster. Next time I'll make some benchmarks.
Program works as my phone is now a little faster, but it has now broken it, as my phone no longer is recognised by ANY computer and every time I try to install an app, it gives an error saying low storage space. Thanks a bunch.
The button on the application says "Not supported", hence I am unable to trim... what happened? it was working since last week (I am using a galaxy nexus)
If you are using an older version of android and want to speed up your device, this little utility will do just that by removing old unnecessary system files. Android 4.3 option for older versions of the world's favorite os.

Works well on rooted device. If you attempt any fix on an unrooted phone or tablet IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!! I repeat. USING THIS APP ON AN UNROOTED DEVICE WILL BRICK AND DESTROY IT!!!!!!! If you are not an advanced user (meaning you can NOT rebuild the Android OS and you are unrooted, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND TAKE YOUR PHONE TO YOUR CARRIER FOR REPAIRS! If you don't know what rooting is STOP WHAT YOUR DOING!
