I was glued to this app during a major bushfire event earlier this year. The info was accurate and really helped inform our decision-making (like when to evacuate etc). I really liked being able to set up a watch zone around my local area. Best emergency app, I can't recommend it highly enough!

Get so many warnings of dangerously high winds and possible flooding which always turn out to be a slight breeze and some drizzle. Ever heard of the boy that cried wolf? App is a great idea but useless with this data source.

Brilliant app with EXCELLENT user friendly features. The "Watch Zones" are a stroke of genius. Bravo to the developers. Very sad that our poxy government didn't think of this years ago... but then it probably wouldn't have worked!

STILL HAVING THIS ISSUE... AND WAITING FOR A RESPONSE PLEASE!!! Have had this app installed for a while now, but why do I only receive the alerts when on wii fi please? I would also like to receive them when I am using my mobile data when I am not at home... thanks

Great app. The best emergency app there is and I've tried most of them. Just dont do what others are doing and release buggy updates right at the start of the fire season. Keep it the great app it is and I'll keep it at 5 stars. * There is nothing wrong that I can complain about so no need to add useless features or change colors and screw everything up. :) * just uninstalled Vic Fires as its gone to crap. Please dont update to a crap version as the way it is now is perfect. Keep it like it is and ill keep it at 5 stars. Dont fix whats not broken. * * * receiving no notifications. Do a test always crashes the app on multiple devices. Desperately need to fix notifications.

Does Not Work. Tried Again But It Still Leaves Me In Limbo. Hey Gridstone Is There Anybody At Home. About Time YOU FIXED IT!!!!

I love this app, but have given it 3 stars due to not being able to choose what notifications we get. I don't need to know each time a small grass fire is updated.. (it is so annoying!!) but to use for storms/ floods it is great!

A good tool to keep an extra eye on things over summer. Best used with a second app to verify data. Some notifications don't always come, and sometime get mixed up. Example a warning today for a great white shark at big hill Bendigo had me scratching my head, didn't know they came that far upstream!

This app is crap! Idea good but does not work for more than a few days. Have reinstalled at least 5 times but stops working soon after. Also recieve alerts constantly and for events outside area. Why have an app that does not work??!!

K70%
by K####:

Was good for a while but for the last 2 months, no messages or updates....still looking at jobs from 9 weeks ago only.

K70%
by K####:

The fire ready app provided far more information about the nature of the emergency and the number of responders. Telling me there is an incident nearby without any details is useless. There is an 'other' in your area? What is the point of a notification for something unknown?

F70%
by F####:

As being with the emergency services as a volunteer, i find this app very handy and important as it gives warnings and information that is very informative and valuable to my role. The only problem with this app is the location/GPS for observation as it can have your location was out and in a different suburb, there should the ability to manually input the location which will help others. But overall the app is very useful and worth using.

K70%
by K####:

Developer appears to have abandoned this app, no fixes since 2015! On android it receives duplicate push alerts for the same indentical event and status! On Windows mobile 10 push alerts don't work at all. Otherwise would be very useful.Duplicate alerts are the biggest pain if this app.

K70%
by K####:

Fantastic. Great to keep the watch zones so you get notified of events that may affect you. However more custom control over what events are notified would be nice. I don't need an alert to say there's a thunderstorm... I have windows

Just tried it again and am getting flood warnings for deniliquin nsw. which is irelivant and not anywhere close to my watch zone. I don't want to hear about stuff out of my area, please allow me to refine my notifications as I am getting too many non important (to me) notifications. I am deleting this cos there is too many notifications that do not relate to my watch area.

Constant alerts for warnings I don't want are ruining my experience with the app.

As a fire fighter we used it so we can call the boss to see if need a hand with the fires Thanks

When I first downloaded this app it was great and I received notifications but since 29/12/16 I am no longer getting the notifications for my designated watch area. Please fix

D70%

Would be good if it could include the events address in the notification, maybe in the extended text when you drag the notification down

W70%

The iOS app is a lot better looking and easier to navigate, it'd be great if this could be updated to be equal to that one. Otherwise great!

K70%

Very good app This does what the RFS app should do by the way of sending alerts.Nice idea being able to add local observations. Thanks Dev wonderful work.

P70%
by P####:

Feeling stupid - I can't get past the terms and conditions page. Doesn't give me a tick box in the 'legal' area, or anywhere else!

X70%
by X####:

Needs a clear all function and the delete button is too close to the events, causing you to often open an event when you intend to delete it.

G70%

The silly limitation that saw the user being locked to selecting a single state when living on the border between two states has been removed. Much better now! From one star to five!

U70%

Need to be able to filter out total fire bans... don't need to be constantly updated on these when nothing else is happening. Even if they were a lower level of alert so they show up but don't alarm. Otherwise great app - well done!

This app forces us to choose between being pestered with multiple alerts one after another for the same incident, or turning notifications off rendering the app useless. The same reason I dumped other apps. Filter the incident alerts FFS or give us the ability to. If the only choice is being spammed with useless alerts or nothing, then I'll choose nothing and dump your app too.

K70%
by K####:

I like this. A lot. Takes a bit of setting up but once done it doesn't fail to alert. Setting watchzones a bit tricky, would be better if you could choose suburbs i think, not sure, but multiple alerts in one zone a bit annoying. A must in bushfire prone areas. All in all recommended.

X70%
by X####:

This would be great if you could narrow down the area being reported on. Thunderstorms across the whole central tablelands results in a lot of false warnings.

F70%

So far seems much more informative than FireReady. Hopefully all runs well.

The gps location is not always accurate. I have a gps test app that is 100% accurate everytime, this app can put my location up to 20km away. Also needs option for manual entry of location - during storms gps lock isn't always easy to acquire or accurate. Manual entry of location would make this a terrific asset to storm chasers such as myself.

X70%
by X####:

A great app. The only problem with it is that you can't update observations once you've made them and need to make a new observation to provide update.

X70%

Can't get past the terms and conditions page, no box to tick and accept, useless

X70%

It needs river flood data from BOM which is available online

X70%
by X####:

Would like to be able to select which type of incidents to get alerts for like bushfire only etc. Also can't find how to make my location as shown on the map accurate it seems to be showing us as a tower location which is around thirty or more km from us as the crow flys.

X70%
by X####:

Now it seems every one wants to see there dot on the map. I see lightning , I smell smoke , I think I see a rain cloud, whoopee fu,,en do. Leave it for emergency .

I consider this one of the best apps I've ever had, especially being in a rural area
