myCarpool for Android
A great idea. One problem: It immediately crashes when opened on my Nexus 5x with Android 6.0.1. When this will be fixed, I will raise the rating a little. Will be even greater (and I will give 5 stars then), if it will handle more complex situations: 1. People who share more than one pool. e.g. Bill and Susan work only some of the days, so they can share pool with all the group on days they work, and should be expected to drive less often accordingly. Harry and Mary have the same working hours on Wed. and Fri., but different working hours on other days, so they can share the general pool on Wednesday and Friday, but will be calculated for their own pool on other days. 2. Different car sizes. e.g. Joe and Pat have a compact car so they can take only 3 + 1. Jim and Sue on the other hand have a SUV so they can take 6 + 1. All others can take 4 passengers + a driver. So in some cases one driver can take all the pool, and on other days more drivers are required. 3. A case where parents are driving their kids to school or other activities, so some kids may have more than one driver, and some drivers may have more than one kid. Turns should be decided by the kid only.
Was looking for something similar. Looking forward for two additions. 1. Would be great if whatsapp can be used for communication. 2. Trip dates is exportable to csv to do some manual analysis.
Perfect app for us. We are a group of people who know each other and want to drive to work alternatively. Looking for a similar app on iphone, but could not find one from hundreds of carpool apps.
The only app of this kind. No huge social network, just a bunch of friends who want to share their car and commuting time. I wish it could use WhatsApp as communication channel.
An application to manage a group that is regularly commuting to work. There is no equivalent in the Google Play. Thanks to the GreenSoftwareTeam
The instruction set in the download for my Android phone (HTC PG06100) doesn't match the actual screens that I am seeing. The instructions talk about Connected Status, Standalone Mode, Connected Mode, SMS Notification Status. "If you do not want your application to send SMS messages, check that both Connected Status and SMS Notification Status are off".....I don't see a screen where this change can be made. I do see in the page, "Manage the carpool group", where I can select "Visible" and/or "Active". Do either of these two selections tie out to the Connected or SMS Notification status? For now, I am rating this a 3 star, but hope that I get answers that can help me move it up to 5 stars.

Awesome app and exactly fulfills our needs. We are bunch of guys driving to the same office destination and as always the question arises 'who is driving?'. The app uses the point system as not always all of us is driving together. There are days some have vacation or is sick and the app takes care of that. NOTE: If the app crashes on startup it is because it does not have proper permissions set. It crashed for me on my Nexus 5X, Android 7.1.1. and I had to manually grant permissions for SMS and Local storage. It should ask me for this permissions on while installing application, but it didn't.
