Buddhist Lojong Cards for Android
Frequency of the notifications is once a day, or once every 1-5 days (a number selected at random.) Users may loosely control the time of day when the notification is received (early morning, daytime, or evening.) The cards may be delivered in canonical order or shuffled order.
The cards may also be viewed in a scrolling list of all 59 slogans. Included on the instruction screen are a list of recommended books (with Amazon links) on the subject of Lojong Mind Training.
A web search on the text of any card may be launched from the card displays.
This app uses Android's Alarm Manager to schedule the notifications. When the alarm is triggered, the notification is sent and the next alarm time is calculated and set. Rebooting your phone will now restart the notifications schedule if it was active when you powered down. It will not open the app's UI on reboot.
This app has given me an efficient means to practice daily. I especially like the built in feature to search for commentaries online, such as Pema Chödrön, Judith Leaf, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, and many others. The daily slogan keeps me on track and makes it simple to start my day, every day, with my Buddhist practice. Thanks a million!!!
It works, its good, its free
Great little app.
Not recommending. I get "be mindful" and nothing else. Uninstalling.
It does exactly what it says-no more no less.

as mentioned in other reviews, what it does is simple, and it does it well. The one annoyance is that it forces the device into portrait mode.
