Cydalion

Cydalion™ is a navigational aid for people with a variety of visual impairments, including people who are colorblind, or are partially or fully blind. Cydalion is intuitive, customizable, and helps you get going right away with an in-depth tutorial.

First, Cydalion uses Tango's unique sensors to detect objects in front of you. To help you avoid those objects, Cydalion sends alerts to you in the forms of both touch and audio feedback. The app can also detect the height of those objects to help you avoid, for example, a light or sign hanging overhead or a chair on the ground.

Next, Cydalion supports a variety of visual impairments, allowing you to receive feedback with multiple visual and audio modes. For example, settings have been included for people who are colorblind, as well as for people with little to no vision.

Finally, review an in-depth tutorial of Cydalion within the app itself. The tutorial includes information about how to hold your device to interpret your environment and how to best give you feedback for object detection depending on your specific needs.

Recommended accessories for Cydalion include a lanyard-style device holster or a vest, and a pair of bone-conduction headphones, which do not block your natural hearing ability.
