Network Log for Android
Very impressed. But seems some apps never showed in the list. Could you pls add netstat function? A folded log view of consecutive traffics of the same app would be better for overview
My phone Le 1s Eco doesn't have a data usage tracker. And then I came across this! This offers more than I wanted! The UI could get a bit better though.
Works fine on my old rooted stock gingerbread android 2.3.6, but not on my rooted stock jelly bean 4.2.2 .(No problem with root permissions but app pop up says iptables not supported) Will leave installed in the hope of a future fix, since it is such an excellent app.
First logger that worked on my phone. Was actually easy to use and gave me the details I needed. Can't comment beyond that. Thanks.
if I could give ten stars, I would. With this app, I feel I have more control over my phone than ever before, yet it just gives real-time information about what app connects where with how many bytes of data. just more information, no app blocking, yet I feel liberated.
Bummer permission denied it says. But I'm sure its a great app. Can't wait to use it later.
could have more info but yes it does watch traffic on your device. not just within itself like others are doing limiting you to not finding what app x is asking for etc. perhaps I can see the stream request from an app getting a video stream and passing its authentication. ty.
something sometimes wents wrong and app is crashing every startup, sometimes is stable and useful
Good aap but there are some problems the app stops logging data after a small period of time.
I can't access
The best network logger apps in the market. It does perfectly i needed to. Great!!!
One of the most usable and must have app for your smartphone.
why rooted phone is needed
Requires root access
Recommend for all android users.
Simple heads-up display.
No it does not work
wow

Good one.
This is one of my favorite netowrking apps the only thing I want to know is can I actually look at the traffic in a similar manner to wireshark? I know I can log and export the connections (such as the IP an app is connecting to) but is there a way to see the actual packets? I would love the ability to export as a pcap or something.
Great job Devs. We must have similar brains because this is perfect for my data/stats thirsty world.
It sure would have been helpful if the author had specified that the app requires root access
This is exactly what everyone needs installed to keep track of what apps are stealing your data and personal info. I found a somewhat 'legitimate' app making remote connections to their personal DSL IP in NY, hmmm that shouldn't be happening
1) Why root? I think the same app with the same UI can be done using the internal VPN tunnel technique. 2) adding possibility of reading the contents of the packets. 3) decryption of the packet using SSL certificates. However, this app is the best so far in showing data flow of traffic and per packet analysis.
Sweet! This is exactly what I been looking for. Thanks Dev!
Its a good app that does what it says it will. Let's you see what your firewall is not blocking. I would add a feature to consolidate entries to and from the same IP address. The log files are too cumbersome.even a five minute log takes for ever to scroll through.
Extremely useful, specially when you need network usage info without wanting to go down to packet sniffing level. Thanks dev for the good work !
Logging, flexible graphs and filtering. Source code. Cool!
didnt work with cm13
wow
Not working on lollipop 5.1.1. EDIT: now working. Thank you
Root/Superuser
Want to see the data though.
Appears to log activity normally for approx 5 mins but then stops and requires logging service to be toggled to restart. Log file size is set correctly ie plenty big enough. All other view options have been tweaked but still no joy. Rooted lg g3 running stock lollipop with xposed. Any ideas?
great
I mean, I can understand that some more these functions may be root, but cab anything be logged without it?

This app helped me diagnose a recent problem that I had on my phone: Every time my phone reboots it downloaded several hundreds of MBs, on Wifi as well as on data. After diagnosing the problem I was able to download a firewall and block the data-hungry processes when on data. Thanks developer! It's amazing that this app is for free! :)
