Zagat for Android
Great... until it stopped working. No matter what I did, uninstall/reinstall, clear app data, change cities, remove all filters, it won't show me a single restaurant anywhere in the world. And now I lost all my favorites.
However, I live 30 minutes outside of Chicago and there isn't a single review around me. I saw the advertisement about the app today, as I'm subscribed to the channel, and am extremely disappointed. Why would you launch an app with such a narrow user base?
So this app needs your location yet doesn't display places near you? Looks like it was designed by a Prodigy (dating myself) programmer. My fastest uninstall ever.
It was working fine and now its just garbage. You have the nerve to be the one who determine if your a five star or a hole in the wall restaurant, but your own app is below average. Damn shame!
Misspelled Cincinnati and have Cleveland listed twice under details. Also, Zagat was once the go-to for dining information.... unfortunate that no one has an eye for detail anymore. "People go to the fridge when they are hungry, they go out to dinner to celebrate life."
This app is completely useless. It only has "certain" cities in its database. I couldn't even find Memphis...yup this app is useless.
Not surprised since google has repeatedly updated its own platform last to update the iOS version. The app mentions a update coming but my iPhone doesn't need to wait. The new version is better and makes the older version on Android look like a bad joke..
Great app before Google bought Zagat and messed it up for a year. They almost got it somewhat fixed, and now it is completely unusable.
Ever since I've changed phones this app has given me nothing but problems and crashes yet they want you to subscribe and become a premium member. Fix this please. I am someone who travels often. Noe I need to search for a back up plan
The app does not show any African American restaurants or.. diverse restaurants in in the southern sector of Dallas or South Dallas
I'd rather just search for best restaurants in Google/ Chrome. Typed in "tacos" to test it and nothing came up.... in Arizona.. lol. App needs a lot of work. Needs more of a Google app feel.
Limited in scope. I'd love to see more time and effort invested in this app. Zagat is a powerful brand. It should have an equally powerful app.
I paid for the old App. They have literally taken my money and have given me something less useful than Yelp.
I love the feed tab on this app but it keeps randomly disappearing for no reason, please fix it.
Says it supports New Orleans but clearly does not. Powerful brand name being abused by non functional app.
Doesn't load. Tried 5 times. Circle just goes around and around
Cant search nearby or use GPS. Useless.
Doesn't currently work at all... :(
Does not say Dallas/Fort Worth under the city
It doesn't work
Still shows ratings on 30 scale
Needs to be in more places.
Sucks Bigly
Awesome
Napalm
Despite the app only being useful in major cities, and the unintuitive interface (it's not possible to directly search for restaurants), I'm giving it 4 stars for being useful for having an interface that enables discovering the best restaurants. Its only navigational method, the "best of" lists, are great for learning about new places whether I'm interested in price, location, or a certain cuisine. In that aspect, it's easier than yelp; it does one job, and does it well.
A lot of improvement since the great f*** up. I'm glad there's more focus on the map and less on the objective, useless, and overly specific articles outlining the "10 best restaurants for late night mild to moderately spicy Indian food"
When 75% of urban occupants live, work, shop and eat in outlying communities, it takes a limited mind to believe that all the 'best' restaurants are in the crumbling inner cities. When it takes more than an hour to drive from the airport to the Loop, only a glutton for punishment would go there go eat.
Useless app enough said. No Kansas City location? At least it was free. Looks like google is trying to become the new Microsoft
Extremely useful app. Everything yelp should be doing. However crashes regularly on favorites which makes it useless.
Yeah Google!! Shame on you.....making dozens of apps that help people discover, learn, and push the envelope on what we thought was possible (for free I might add). You should truly be ashamed for making an app that doesnt appeal to EVERYONE, its not like its hard to please the masses. Guh pshhh. I expect to see a refund!! Credit us what we paid for this app!
After foursquare cutting their program in 2 parts, I've been looking for something similar. Check in and/or leave a review. For *any* place. This app does only give you a lame list of cities I am *not* interested in, without the possibility of searching the city I am interested in. Waste of server storage, waste of bandwidth and waste of my storage on my phone, and most of all: an unnecessary waste of *my* time! Thanks, Google, but this is the biggest mistake ever!
Uninstalled it. If Google let people contribute more, then this app will grow better, but you can't really.
Allow better searching with up to XXL miles.
This app looks nice and has potential. The downside is the extremely limited locations. Until user location is added, Yelp! Wins by a mile
Unless you live near/in or are traveling to one of the listed cities it's useless.
Crap permissions, lame design, fascist thinking under the hood.
Some what difficult to use. Does not show all the restaurants. Some not shown I like.

Does not work. In downtown New York on WiFi. No restaurants and listed. Not a single one. No errors, but does not display any data. Waste of time I can see 2 restaurants with ratings in the windows, but the app shows nothing.
