YouTube for Google TV

All was well before the upgrade, I used to love the ease of just sharing content directly from my phone, my friends loved how they could add videos to the queue from their phones which kept the party going without a designated DJ... I've been trying to figure out the issue thinking it was my TV because my brother also has a smart TV and it works fine on his? until looking into the actual app and seeing all the negative reviews did i realize that the app was the cause. Really hope they do something soon :(

Too bad. This App Supports only 144p, 240p, and 360p. But my phone(Standard YouTube App)supports 144p, 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p(60fps), and 1040p(60fps)! I don't know why can't I set to higher than 360p on TV...

I can't believe they took away the feature to pair your TV to your tablet or other mobile devices. Worst update ever! Cheers

Keeps buffering and crashing, even on low quality. My smart android tv is directly connected to high speed Internet. This app struggles. Too many bugs. Other video streaming apps works fine. Poor effort by google.

so many issues connecting it with my devices. its a task to use it smh frustrating updates make it even worst because then i get error messages and its doesnt connect i give up

Shame on you Google, How can you develop such a crappy app. This one sucks. YouTube streams without any trouble in all my devices except this. previous version was far better than this . Awaiting for an immediate update.

glitchy, no red support (wasted lots of money and still had ads!), no pairing to device, repeats videos already watched, and many other isues!

does not play without stopping and starting every 2 seconds! the "help" is a joke. and says something about how to cast from phone then tells you to get a code. where is this code? Africa? the moon? because it sure as hell ain't on my tv

Only this app works horrifically in my TV. It never play any video smoothly even through I turn it to 480p. This is the worst experience ever had.

Why is this going through Chrome? My kids can't use the YouTube App anymore without having to ask me for the Chrome password! Ridiculous! no more Cast support, either?!? YouTube is doing wrong by its most faithful users and that is just sad :-(

YouTube for Google TV - Fast Forward or Backward is not working... It was working initially and it stopped ... I could do only 10sec forward each time...

It worked fine before. New update ruined the best app on GTV. I love my Google TV, don't downgrade it. I will not buy anything from Google again unless it is fixed soon. I feel extremely betrayed by this update which is especially painful since Google is something I had a great deal of faith in. I used to be proud to own such an amazing device, but now it is basically like any other TV. I am truthfully devastated that they would ruin such a beautiful piece of technology in this way.

The controls are full of bugs, there's no HD filter.. aaaand the app doesn't react when I try the "sign in" button. Are you going to fix these problems anytime soon? It's kind of awkward. :P

updated my smart tv to the new app now i cant pair my phone, the app has become slow ,more like a downgrade

I second the comments mentioned, fast forward, rewind is not working with keyboard buttons. Videos crashing frequently which was not the case in older versions. Not loving the updates

This still the worst app ever. Still does not play properly. Glad youtube developers aren't in charge of anything you'd want to rely on like a real business application... and they want us to pay in 2016.

This is a stop gap app to keep us google tv users alive a little longer. Better than nothing. Will buy a roku or fire stick.

Google... you make YouTube and GoogleTV. Why do they not work together anymore? Do you all really not know how to make your own hardware and software compatible? Go home Google, you're drunk. F-

This one sucks so bad. It doesnt have like button and doesnt show history..Plus it doesnt show HD....

Old version worked great. Update crashes, takes forever to load, and requires login. Yet anther update that went backwards in usability. I rarely use youtube on this tv anymore because it is such a horrible app.

Cant no longer use Sony google TV remote control functions after this update was made. Worked just fine with every previous version until now all hard buttons became useless. I wish google just left previous version functioning, it was so much better! But previous app just stopped working over night forsing you to get it updated only to find out that you no longer have most of original funcions and no hard keys on remore. Very disapointing...

this new update is really bad please fix it,i can't cast anymore please fix i Google Inc. if fixed,Thank You Google otherwise ill make a big complain to google

hangs during playback, new ui is terrible, cannot view related items etc in the small window at bottom of screen, now the window is full screen and it blocks videos while viewing making it impossible to watch and search at the same time. also cant add videos to specifc folders just able to "like" videos which puts them in one folder... if i could give it 0 stars i would... give us back old version as it was much better. also cannot fast forward or index search, just able to ff 10 sec chunks

doesn't allow u to pair with other devices ...... probably to make u buy their chrome cast.....not cool

please fix for you tube google inc. all the time too slow. we cann"t watch you tube.

this you tube app for google tv was the greatest ever up until many months ago when they started uppdating it. i never did the update and continued using the original app untill i couldnt use it anymore because the old version stoped working because it needed the updated app and then everything whent down hill from there. it absolutely sucks now and i wish they kept it the way it was when it first came out on the sony nszgt1 box

This app is shame for Youtube. It is ten time worse than the previous version. Terrible controls, no way to serch by channels, no scroll bar, loadivg very long. Very dissapointing.

Used to be able to play from my phone. Not anymore. Junk.
