Google Text-to-speech

Honestly I'll give the app 4 stars. It's great and very convenient to use. But even as I voice to text this out I've have to think about all the times that I've had to go back and manually correct anything that I have voice to text it out because of its swapping of words that I did not actually say. Which sometimes leads to messages taking even longer to type out rather than just me actually typing them out.

Love that I can just say "OK Google" and the app starts, even with my phone locked. Very easy to use, understands what you say, & it talks back with your answer & relevant search info. Everyone needs this app, especially this day & age with so many accidents caused by people texting while driving

Needs better punctuation controls for those speaking dictation style. I don't talk s million miles a minute and get tired of seeing COMMA & PERIOD spelled out. Then to go back and fix them you, you have to remove the space between the word and PERIOD, and capitalize the next sentence. Is there a guide to this? Otherwise helpful app.

It can't understand a thing I say at all. Make it understand a Scottish, English, American etc. accents. Or most people won't be able to use it. Why did this junk come with my phone? It. Doesn't. Work. It is not like I can't just get used to it, it can't understand me. I prefer using keyboards, even SwiftKey. That's why I am using SwiftKey. You can use it. Unlike this crap of an app. Delete it or fix it. Your choice. And add more words to it! Jesus Christ I could spend all Day typing this! I'm going to go now. Bye!

I think this program is very great. Considering I have a TBI from the war. I have a problem reading and put in my thoughts on the paper this program, helps me express my thoughts. So I can get them out quicker Vice trying to type it or going back and deleting what I'm trying to type. This program is unexceptional gift to me words cannot explain how I feel when I can communicate my thoughts without typing.

It is needed to be more improved! As it works well but in most cases it fails.... Nd whn it is failed nd we are in hurry of smething.. It is irritating that time!

I am looking forward for pashto and urdu language.you people dont forget that these two languages are common maternal languages of two nations worldwide. I feel it a discrimination. Hopefully in next update you people will consider it. With many thanks

Too loud. Lowest volume bar (5%) hurts my ears and gives me a head ache. Other than that this app is fantastic. Thank you google.

I have been suffering from a problem...i am constantly getting a notification that says"female for English (India).. Waiting for wifi" Even after i went in to the settings and checked off "download over wifi only" its not getting away downloading whatever it wants to download. I downloaded 2 voice packages but its not able to download something.....need help now Give me some email id or something so i can send you screenshots.

It has trouble hearing my voice when i speak too fast. I have slow down my speech just for it to understand me

It often writes the wrong thing. Speech recognition variables need more work

Hindi voice is very poor in perfomance. Also volium is loer than other voices. pronanciations also speaks wrong of so many words. So i deleted.

Have you considered an update so it can work with Bluetooth? How about being able to text multiple people at once? How about getting me an iPhone and we call it even. Or time travel me forward to December 2018 and I'll promise to NEVER be your customer again......mkay???

If I ever need it it is useful. It is good for Android to have, so blind people can use the device.

I'm having same PROBLEM as others. Despite Auto Update being set to off, it's trying to update something with tag 'Female for English'. Thought I had a virus, when it kicked off.

Pity I can't disable it altogether, that goes for many apps that I really don't want but are forced to have.

Makes it easier when I am sleepy, or can't reply cuz I'm driving. & or crying. lol Remember, never text while driving. Be kind to others

The latest update made the quality of the voice drop theirs a tiny vibration​ in the english (us) voice

Unwanted rubbish pre installed by samsung will never use it and cannot get rid of it

The offline language is always troubling,,,, its not getting downloaded and if its getting downloaded in case it's again not responding offline for many days

Although this makes several things like texting easier, Google keeps a record of everything you ever said to it. So for this reason I don't use it.

Nice for those who need it, however, I'd like to see it implemented into Google now so it can give you a reply back.

Handles text to speech very well. Probably better comprehension skills than many of the people commenting about voice recognition.

I use it every day, after work I'm a little tired, use this app to let my wife know all is well and I'm on my way home

I really like the convenience of this app, although it does text silly words on its own sometime. A must have.

Nepal tts is good but I think it is needed to be improved to speak more efficiently in English and Nepal both.

People are confusing this with voice recognition. This is text to machine speech, nothing to do with voice commands.

Lately it has been making a lot of areas love the fact that you can do a quick text with voice maybe the update will fix this

The autocorrect is too sensitive and I cannot express how sensitive it is it's always changing the words that I am saying it is 80% sometimes 75% accurate and what I'm saying

The voices sound a bit harsh. Please make them more pleasant for longer listening.

Great app, but please add Persian. There is no alternative available to speakers or persian
