Android Samba Client for Android
Cannot get past the "Share path is incorrectly formatted," even though I've entered everything I can think of for the server. Unclear and confusing.
App was updated to support SMBv3! Functionality is pretty basic but it works. Would like an option to unmount shares.
Doesn't show mount list after mounting. Audio files on resulting browser cannot be played on Google apps. Need this for ChromeCasts
Basic and simple. Works for me. You'll get another star if you give us unmount.
Doesn't appear to support MDNS either which Windows, Mac and Linux use for name resolution in home networks.
Clunky buts works with smb:// prefix and a /folder suffix. Otherwise "Failed to mount share." Or "share path is incorrectly formatted."
Three stars... Needs unmount option and the ability to stream files from share, IE videos or music.
Can't see mounted paths in Download folder. It's empty.
Cannot mount Windows 10 share: "Access to read was denied" while its fine in other apps. (e.g. solid ex.)
+ Supports SMB3 - Can't unmount Share - Can't play Videos from it
It needs a way to unmount shares.
Almost there. Needs unmount.
Can't change credentials for mounted share?
Lacks of basic features
Not the most user friendly app yet, but hey, that's what you get for an intial release I guess. Mounting it is easy enough if you know what to key in though. For my windows share, I ticked needs a password, set my domain to WORKGROUP, and set my user and password to guest. Works fine. Would love to see this app get baked into newer Android releases with the option to scan for samba shares and tapping on them to add them rather than what it is now.
It seems a bit hit and miss. Downloads allow you to browse the share but opening a large file like a video fail whereas other samba options allow you to access the shares like the file was on your phone. You should be able to access a file share from any program but you can't. Also, seems like no easy way to unmount yet other than uninstalling. For simple browse and copy back to your device it works ok.
Seems legit.. use at own peril. Only supports SMBv1 shares.. the sort of share that is currently being exploited by WannaCrypyt / NotPetya RansomWare...
A bizarre half baked attempt at a service app, with poor platform support and limited options. Needs a lot more work before I would consider using this to access my local files.
Due to wanncry virus Microsoft is removing SMB V1 if comments is true it's a bad move by Google should support SMB V1 and V2.
Works well! I can read and write local shared drives of my computers. My main issue is that I have no clue how to rename / un-mount the drives afterwards.
This app only supports SMB v1. Whats going on Google? You use to care about Security
This would be more useful if it was natively baked into Android so I had one less reason to root.. since these aren't native cifs shares, you can't play music/movies in other apps..
I'm unable to map my file share, which doesn't support SMBv1.
Continually just crashes on open will wait until it matures or works.
Doesn't support SMBv3. Cannot connect to my router. Disable v1 support for security!
Only supports SMB v1, effectively useless.
What in the hell Google? SMBv1? Who on earth thought this was a good idea?
util pero no me liga con los file managers que tengo
Finally! Other apps are demanding money for this basic functionality! Thank you Google.
Please add support for SMBv2/SMBv3
Smb1 only. .. really google
Didn't even executed once
FTP support?
Good initial release, would love to see image/video thumbnails in the future
SMBv1 at Q3, 2017 Enjoy your ransomware
This app has unusual big size.
A useful app and a good start for a first release.
Interesting concept by far from ready.
Only supports SMBv1.

Doesnt work at all claiming access errors, so cannot really appreciate. Other samba clients do work nicely so sounds like a app issue
