More customization needed!!!! - Let people disable recommendations all together, and replace it with better widgets such as weather, news or a larger clock - allow people to make custom categories besides APPS/GAMES, and let them set how many in a row before it splits off to a new column - Better information on the play store such as an icon to indicate this application can be used as a source for live channels - Ability to hide certain apps from the launcher - Ability to reset/shutdown from the launcher, not burried in the about section - Create shortcuts with custom images for the launcher, and select a category for it -Please enable volume control, i dont want to have to use two remotes!

This is a frustratingly bad UI, especially knowing what is possible. Why is my android TV less capable than my android tablet? I know it isn't scaling because the tools already to exist to scale the software over a huge range of screen shapes and sizes.

I'm using it on my Sony TV. Could not deaktivate the sugguested Apps or put it to the bottom. Also there are Apps put forward which I have already installed. So everytime I need to scroll though these Apps before I get to "my" Apps. Quite annoying. Not sure if it is a android TV or general google or sony tv bug, but since the last few updates after watching a twitch stream for a while I could not play any video in any app anymore. (twitch app deinstall also does not help) Only TV reboot fixes the problem.

This launcher exists to sell you more content. You have to fight through ads to get to your apps you want to run every time you power on the TV. There is no way to customize this either. We need Arrow Launcher for TV!

Does the EU antitrust allow this crap? The EU should give a 2 bln Euro fine to Google for this not even hidden attempt to sell all possible crap from Google through the television. Disabling the apps they keep appearing. I installed Spotify and it gets lost in the list of suggested junk! And there isn't even the option to change it with another launcher!!! Totally disappointed.

nice design but limited freedom and not custom, android is well known for that so i was expecting more from android tv. You can do more we all know it ...

1. Wallpaper needs to be changeable 2. Weather should be displayed next to time 3. Recommended content is terrible

It just sucks. My side loaded apps do not show up. It is a launcher for you to buy movies and games from Google. All the Recommended games and movies are what Google is pushing you to purchase. Poor,

Please STOP moving apps around after I have arranged them personally. They tend to shift position after being updated, annoying! Also why aren't YouTube recommendations pulled from your subscriptions rather than generic?

Works well, but I wish I could rearrange the order of things. Why do I have to go all of the way to the bottom to access "My Apps" and "Games"? Recommendations could also be better.

Give me an option to turn off the stupid recommendations! It's annoying watching it say preparing recommendations all the time.

Very poor customisation ability. I want to HIDE all useless apps that come pre packaged. I literally want 5 squares on my home screen. thanks.

This launcher, which comes with the Nvidia Shield TV is TOO LIMITED!!! Give us the option back to choose our OWN default launchers! Your current version of this launcher is no better than the crap Apple would put out!

Very, very limited. There is no way to make new shortcuts or favorites. Apps promote themselves in the app hierarchy based on usage frequency but there is no way to add a shortcut or icon. This is crippling.

I need to be able to disable all recommendations without any placeholders left over afterwards whining about it. It needs to stop ramming all of this crap down my throat.

As an owner of Nvidia shield TV box, all I can say that this launcher feels like a big alpha version product. You are not allowed to customize anything at all and most applications do not show on the start screen (have to navigate to settings->apps in order to launch them). The only good thing is that due to the small number of available apps for TVs, you can't yet feel fully how bad the launcher is.

It needs mouse support and it needs to display my side loaded apps! I have chrome on here (side loaded launched via Sideload Launcher) and it works great! (with a mouse and keyboard) but if you try anything on the home screen with a mouse it glitches and breaks! :[

Needs more! The Android TV Launcher needs more material design, consistency on the Google apps & Compatibility. I think all Google apps except those like (Phone and Contacts) to be compatible with the TV. Imagine Drive, Photos, Google +, Chrome, Maps, Keep, etc all in your TV with an updated Android TV Remote app. The possibilities are endless.

Let me get rid of the advertisement row as the first thing I see, and PLEASE LET ME MOVE NETFLIX!

Not customizable and a utterly useless, ugly and a pain to use.

This app has LOT's of potential and is already my go to lauincher > Leanback. Few things that could be done IMO are ability to make tiles a little smaller for 5 columns and 5 rows as some of us have large and small TV's. Ability to change the 'icon' for apps is amazing.

I'd like to have more control with what appears on my TV, in reference to the menu system. I would like to remove the "Featured Apps", as other options/features.

Still to few functions (not possible to customize the menu at all, missing apps)...

I hate this UI. Please give us a better one.

Really good interface. Fast and easy to find things. Especially with the new tile customization.

It's alright, but it's the biggest reason many apps that would otherwise work with Android TV don't. Also, it's pretty much unable to be customized outside of turning some suggestions on and off. It would be pretty nice if I could set my Sony XBR55X850 to display my more commonly used apps (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, TED, VLC, and the Play Music and Video apps) in locked positions instead of them magically appearing in random spots. Even my Apple TV isn't this bad when it comes to not being able to have a custom menu. Other than that, it's actually a really good TV interface since the tiles for apps are large and visible across the room. This beats both Samsung's Tizen and LG's WebOS interfaces for content on screen vs icon size. Also, it could be a little more fluid at times.

Best TV experience I've ever had with a launcher. Nothing comes close in terms of user functionality while using a remote only. Nothing. If Google ever decides to abandon this platform, I hope they open source this launcher so that the community can continue to support and create new devices that include and improve upon this launcher.

Doesn't integrate with the google search app what so ever. No customization. Generally a bad attempt at a launcher.
