Google Pinyin Input

I don't understand why it's always on my device even though I selected English as language yet since Android 6.0 at least this indic Japanese Korean keyboards always are showing up on my device... Even weirder they are always disabled...

The keyboard can be stuck in num pad forever and there's no way back. I have to uninstall the input to reset this, twice. Frustrating

Much better than what I was using before ???? so far no missing characters and it seems to have a good algorythm to guess my next character (I turned off gurssing, but still when typing it properly guesses eg: which 'hou' i want to type.)

Recently it has some problems. At times cannot type in Wechat, at times I can't type in WhatsApp. Not sure if it's my phone's problem or the app problem.

I've used it for years and it's fantastic. However I just updated to Android 8.0.1 and now it's completely broken. It's only the numpad/dialer screen with no ability to change languages or input (besides changing to an entire different keyboard app). The Android update just stopped, so I'm assuming this will be fixed very soon (and I'll move it back up 5 starts). The downside of having a Pixel I guess.

The recent versions violate with the default Google keyboard which can't be disabled on my honor 8. I used to have Google pinyin to type everything switching between English and Chinese using the switching key planet, now when I click on it, it automatically switching between Google pinyin and Google keyboard. Damn annoying and frustrating. Plz help !!!

It's very useful, but handwriting is too unforgiving, even at the slowest speed. Certain characters are almost impossible to write, at least for a beginner. An option for choosing what character you want at the end and writing at your own pace, like in Pleco, would be awesome.

This is probably the most annoying keyboard. Why do they suggest number and symbols in EVERYTHING I type. Like I need to type "inside" and it comes out 8nside. Same goes to symbol. Pls give us option to off the non alphabetical suggestion. TQVM

Probably the best multi lingual keyboard with Chinese support. But lately the swiped up/down support get a bit too sensitive and increase the typing errors significantly. Word suggestions also strangely won't work on browser text input boxes while using English language. 4 stars until these issues are fixed

Why the latest version which i installed at my new Note 8 cannot disable swype / slide input? This is so annoying, previous version which i installed in my 1+3t and 1+3 have this option, but incant find it now. Please fix it, really hate this swype / slide input. If still no changes, i will switch to other input method. It's really annoying.

It is overall a good keyboard, but the English word suggestions are weird....The first suggestion is never the one I wanted. Like I type clinic, it suggests clinical, I type what, it suggests what's..... Should the first suggestion not be the word I already typed? Maybe I'm the weird one....

Very good keyboard. Some minor issues on my note8. 1. Characters are too big so they are cut by the symbols on keys. 2. Hope to add move cursor by swiping on keyboard like Samsung keyboard so it can move in all directions instead of only left and right on space bar. 3. Even 1ms vibration is too strong on note8.

Best keyboard so far, I uninstalled Swype because I don't need it anymore. One little thing, I wish the language switch key switch between pinyin and en instead of switching to different keyboard.

I really love this App, there's just one thing bothering me. Is there a possibility to instantly write characters like "女", (nü) which need the letter "ü"? The keyboard doesn't seem to recognize characters like these.

Functional, but it's annoying to have to go to settings every time I want to switch between Traditional and simplified. It would be great if there was an in-keyboard button or a separate keyboard to do this with.

Good keyboard and all but I think it's missing a key function! It'll be a real attraction with emoji suggestions ie when you type flower the ???? emoji comes up. TouchPal does this real well. Thanks!

Feature rich and plenty of customisation. It was good initially, it got bad with a few updates, but now it is better than ever. My favorite feature is the slide down to get alternate keys rather than holding the actual key, it makes my typing faster.

Updated to android 5.0 now I have to switch to Google keyboard to type English, huge mistake!!!

The "swipe down to insert symbol" is too sensitive that it became disturbing for daily use. I can barely wrote a sentence without mistype the letter "i" for "8", or "u" for "7". Kindly add an option to disable the unwanted feature in the next update.

Overall a good app, but certain words only appear when in Simplified Chinese mode. The same word will not appear using same pinyin in traditional Chinese mode(the word itself is not simplified).

Something is not right. After reboot, clear cache or after wipe partition cache, this keyboard is automatically disabled. Can anyone tell me why is so? On my other phone no problem at all (A9 Pro) while on J7 Pro this crops up? Thanks

It has been years and the app still can't type or show many common characters in traditional Chinese like: 干 游 斗 etc.

Why on earth would I want to type in Chinese. Unnecessary forced app. How do I completely remove this unnecessary bundled bloatware from the phone?

Some common traditional Chinese characters have gone missing when individually searched but turns up when it's searched in vocabulary form. This maybe be due to overcorrection from simplified characters which neglects the fact that some "simplified" version of a character is not necessarily equivalent to "simplified Chinese" and is still used in the traditional context. Eg. 周/里/喂/etc.

Been using this keyboard for a long time and its No1 Android keyboard for me. But one thing, please include the option to change back to sharp edged key borders cuz i hate rounded edge borders

Works fine but it makes typings both Chinese and English at same time so hard. Had to switch back and forth.

Works as a keyboard buuutttt... Put the swipe/flick-down for symbol feature back! And Can google search be intergrated into this as well? Like how it is on the regular gboard? Or just put chinese on Gboard! I have to download 2 apps for goodness sake and switch between gboard and chinese keyboard all the time since one has the search but the other doesn't etc... it's just a mess geez

Since I have been studying Mandarin Chinese, this is the best tool I am able to use to improve my language skills. It lets everyone to use both simplified and tradicional characters, therefore, regarless what kind of written language you study, it will allow you to type it accurately afterwards. Summing up, I do like it =)

Would you do me a favor, just drop the component of English input, I thought THIS app is meant to be single feature.

It didn't allow me to use it for traditional characters, which makes it obnoxious as hell and slow as mud when I have to run every single thing I write through multiple apps to switch it just so I can get it the stupid thing to write anything with the correct characters.

Lacks quick way to switch between simplified and traditional, and completely lacks wubi. Simply not as good or feature rich as a dedicated Chinese keyboard.

There is a bug recently when using changjie input method, if using the globe to switch to Eng input, after keying some word without pressing space and click the file to change back to changjie method again, I cannot key in Chinese character. Other than that everything is good.

1 please add option for English UK instead of US 2 please add option for number row 3 please add layout for even shorter keyboard on portrait mode 4 please remove the Bluetooth keyboard bar (always there on the screen sort of annoying)

Lovely. Would appreciate an easy way to switch between traditional and simplified chinese on the keyboard. Going to the settings all the time is quite inconvenient. Thanks. Great work.

I have been using this keyboard for many years on Nexus phones, but on my Samsung S8 it gets disabled all the time (and my default Gboard, replaced by Samsung's keyboard without asking). Looks like an illegal interference by Samsung?

Pretty good but please put a button on the keyboard interface so we can switch between traditional and simple Chinese easily without the need to go into multiple settings page before being able to switch it.

I have used this keyboard for a long time without any issue. However, recently I always stuck in Dial Mode every time I switched to this input with no option to switch back to Normal Mode. I don't know what triggered this. The only solution is going to Settings and Clear Data for this keyboard/app. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Always lost personal newly added words disappointedly. Wish to have buttons for copy paste, arrows controls, and word selection. 到現在仍然沒有提供一個似樣的破折號…
