YouTube Kids

I put this on for my 1 year old and she gets sooo into it! Love seeing her engaged in these videos and having it be safe enough that I can actually let her watch it alone is great <3. The only cons I could think of so far is that if she touches something on the screen it stops/changes the video. It would be helpful to add a screen lock feature so the videos auto play without risking it changing if she's holding the device directly.

What is this ? I updated this app thrice but I couldn't open it by now. When I click on open,it says "unfortunately, yt kids has stopped."I use oneplus one on latest marshmallow update . Is there any need to install another app to help open yt kids ? Please give preference to my question. Please resolve the problem. Is this app full supported in India ?Is this available in India ?

First of all, to all those idiots (And I mean you, 9 year olds) who just whine about the app being boring, since, their little so - called 'celebrity', known as You-Tubers don't have their content shown, guess what, numbbrains? These guys use offensive words and have multiple portrayals of violence in their videos, things, a kid of your age should never view. It's at this age, that children learn, not build up their vast vocabulary of bad words. This app is meant to teach kids, not to let them watch videos with profanity. Secondly, before you become instant 'critics' , learn to brush up on your English skills, useless idiots. And, to think you all are the 'People of the future'.

Some of the content is so awful, just terrible, not good, bad! It just plays in the queue after a video we selected. You constantly have to be on top of your child. Such rubbish, opening toys? Really?

I just put Peppa Pig on for my three year old and a clown with a chainsaw hacked them into pieces. I have spent the last hour watching what auto populates and it is atrocious. Blocking these videos isn't good enough YouTube should so something about this. Absolutely disappointed at the nasty content that has been allowed into this platform. Use with caution!!

It's hard to do your work or have a break from children mostly because they can't entertain or take care of themselves, though this app has many videos that have nothing to do with the laws of physics it has no innapropriate content and allows for you to have your break. Some of it is educational but a good 13 is useless garbage like an animated kid tripping even when there is nothing to trip on and is somehow supposed to be funny. All I'm trying to say is its good but not 100% what it says and not a good education for kids.

I have no idea if this app is good or not because Google have not followed their own user interface principles and have a parental pin code screen that doesn't use the standard keyboard, and the number keys are outside the field of view of my child's smartwatch, so I can't touch them.

First of all. All these kids that are over 8yrs old, stop putting this app down. It's for kids under 8 years old. It even says it right on the app before you download it. . So, of course it will bore you. It ain't for your age group. Duh! Now, my review.. My grandson is only 2 and he loves YouTube Kids! He has learned all of his ABC's, counting to 10 and backwards to 1. He also, knows all his colors. He is always pointing saying, yellow, blue, pink, red and saying, numbers or letters with the colors. I am very satisfied with this wonderful website for little kids. If, anyone has bad things to say about this site. Don't listen to them. Nothing but, 5 stars!!!!

My daughter used to love YouTube Kids. I don't know what's up, but it won't open anymore. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Nothing's working. We are so disappointed.

I love this app it's so fun there's music,real TV shows,and much much more,and I have one question for the creators "are you guys gonna make a YouTube kids update cause would really love one,but thank you for how it already is I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!"

Safe for my kids because the real YouTube is very unsafe and may show bad things for kids, but YouTube Kids is safe and the show/videos are great. Thank you so much!

I use a kids YouTube for Lake when I get bored but kids YouTube is awesome I just want to thank you all guys because you came out with it and you know how some kids just lay on couch get bored and have nothing well y'all inspired my aunt's spiration a lot of things have like PC World and stuff Shopkins and Barbie doll stuff in real life stuff so I just want to thank you all kids YouTube for inspiring me

Look my sister doesn't like the app also it still has inappropriate videos I know I searched up one of the inappropriate channels and it was there like seriously only toy opening videos, my sis is 4 she gets bored easily and nothing she likes is on there, I looked up stampy and it doesn't even have all of his videos and he's appropriate for my sis age.

Google should be ashamed of itself for the poor parental interface on this. Nearly a perfect app, but Google caters to their million-dollar stars with all the toy opening apps. As hard as I try, I cannot rid the app of these! One problem is that it only allows me to block specific videos, but not entire channels or users. (Yes, sometimes, rarely, you can block entire channels from the main screen, but it is never for these annoying user-generated channels.) I sit on my phone for 15 minutes at a time blocking previously-viewed videos and all the new ones that pop up in the queue. For every toy opening, play doh, or egg video I block, 1 or 2 more pop up in the queue! It -never- ends. Please, please, make it easier to control this chaos. Idea: allow me to review content FROM THE WEB INTERFACE. Doing it from within the phone is so slow, clunky, and ineffective. It's a no-brainer to provide the watch-history to me on my main Google account, with ability to block videos and channels from there! Please, more blocking power. I block over 100 videos a day, doing it before and after my kid has his screen time. Google, you are SO close! Another idea: flags for toys, eggs, etc

Love this for my five year old, she doesn't seem to have access to inappropriate content anymore. We're much happier with her watching on the kids app instead of normal YouTube. Thank you for thinking of this version.

My normal youTube was not working so that's when this app comes in. Also it comes in handy when you can't watch channels that have cursing...... In general this app is great! Thanks Google Inc.! -Itz_Sammantha

Hate the ads my little one loves to listen to the Kid songs but she is only 2 & doesn't understand this ad thing & she gets frustrated- plain & simple it's a kids app get rid of ads they don't need them.

YouTube Kids is a really innovative and creative app, from YouTube, for kids who always wants to watch kid shows from around the world via mobile devices, anytime and anywhere. Hopefully, YouTube will also create their own kid shows.

Sooooooooooo boring why did my mom want me to get this???? I am 10 and I typed it in and it says recommend videos are SESAME STREET

My son love this app because it has everything for him to do from watching fav shows to learning and songs and games so you get everything all in one app! And there's a parental sign in which is my favourite part because I get to see a time limit witch makes my life so much easier!!!

This app is amazing as you don't need an account and it shows child-friendly videos! I definetly recommend this as it's for children.

I started letting my child watch this a couple of months ago. It has been wonderful but now all of a sudden I see a man feeding a baby alive a candy bar and it pooping. He then precedes to wipe it a little to much more than needed. Then I see a different man put a baby doll into a microwave. I'm unsure of if I am over reacting but this isn't okay in my eyes. I reported both videos and blocked them.

Still app looses touch on the main screen but most importantly on pin screen where I'm unable to type it in.

I downloaded this for my grandkids and their learning and it,my friends and neighbors now have their children's watching and learning,and it's a great app.

Very good for kids it will make them learn alot more about most things kids need to know.

It keeps my kids very much entertained but i wish there was a setting so my 1 year old cant exit out the app itself but very useful app

Love that there are no ads. YouTube is not exactly kid friendly when it comes to ads. Very happy with this app!!!

I think that youtube kids is okay, lot of glitches sometimes

This is a very good app to entertain my five year old and 7 year old when I am doing household cleaning and when we are in the car driving it entertains them they are able to watch whatever they want and it is a great thing

My grand daughter loves it and leaning.She is 2already knows ABC, counts to 20, knows colors, and basic shapes. THANKS YOUTUBE.

I think it is good for preschool children and younger kids but no older kids but younger kids will love it
