What are users saying about Hangouts Meet

T70%
by T####:

Fragment Hangouts? Yeah sure, great idea. We have a solid idea, now time to make it more of a pain for everyone to use. Allo, Duo, ah screw that. It was well hyped, and we could have combined them. But whatever. We don't care about our users.

T70%
by T####:

Google looks really lost. Why else would they be destroying their userbase with this fragmented crap. Give us one good solid Hangouts that can do everything, not a dozen different messaging programs that do just one thing. Pay attention!

G70%
by G####:

Here's an awesome idea: You should combine Hangouts Meet and Hangouts Chat into one awesome app and call it "Hangouts"!!! Wait... I guess that's already been done. Leave Hangouts alone! Stop wasting our time with these worthless apps! (Messenger, Allo, Duo, Hangouts Chat, Hangouts Meet). BTW congratulations on your "Who's Down" failing to launch! Go crawl in a corner and cry. Stop trying to destroy a good app... (Hangouts)

B70%
by B####:

This would be useful if it had builtin chat. Same problem in having with duo. WhatsApp is still the best. Or three original Hangouts, but no one uses that anymore. It was great being built into Gmail

X70%
by X####:

All the five star reviews are suspect for this app. Google, thanks for fragmenting your messaging ecosystem again, and making me explain what app to use when/where to my friends and associates. This is a bad user experience since now I have all the Google messaging apps on my phone in case I can't interface with one of my clients.

T70%
by T####:

So we need 5 separate communication apps from Google instead of Hangouts, riiiight? Shooting your own foot was never so fun. This app provides zero configuration option what grrrrrreat!

N70%
by N####:

Firstly, it's obvious the flurry of 5 star ratings at the beginning were fake (sponsored, Google employees, whatever). Stop turning your most loyal supporters (I.e. me) against you by confusing the hell out of me with so many apps that do the same thing. I don't know which one to use and neither do my friends. We all tied the new ones and just went back to hangouts

R70%
by R####:

Installed the app just to give it 1 star. Get into the game, Google, and take your users seriously. I'm finished with this messaging fragmentation, duplication, etc.

T70%
by T####:

Is this a April fool prank but in March? Just when I got used to having a million messaging apps Google makes a few more

T70%
by T####:

What a waste of time. How about working to build a universal video, chat and screen sharing solution for business. The market is so messed up and there's a dire need to settle on one universal protocol that is supported by multiple clients (Skype, Hangouts, etc.). You're hurting oir business with your continued fragmentation and confusion.

T70%
by T####:

Come on Google can't you just make one unifies app for messaging & chat? Hangouts, Voice, Android Messages, Allo, Duo. And now fragmenting Hangouts into three separate apps. Stop!!

T70%
by T####:

From a business use perspective, this is a terrible idea. My business recently switched to G Suite, and the last thing we need right now is lack of stability in app usage. I'm IT, so this will be my problem.

M70%
by M####:

Not necessary. Just make Hangouts look like Allo.... You don't have to make things difficult. We don't want iMessage and FaceTime.

T70%
by T####:

Slick, but no idea why this isn't just a "meetings" tab on the hangouts app. Google really need to stop having different apps for everything, its a usability disaster.

J70%
by J####:

Why you guys are creating different apps? Totally useless. Finally, u rush on people to leave hangouts completely.

U70%
by U####:

Geared towards business?? What business in their right mind would trust Google to not abandon this app as soon as they switch to it? Regular Hangouts was on the way to being a great app for business and personal users alike. Then...

E70%
by E####:

This is less convenient, not more. Stop fragmenting your apps. Way to kick consumers right in the nuts. All-in-one or GTFO. Gross.

T70%
by T####:

I seriously wonder if anybody at Google reads these. Everyone comment I've scrolled through in the past 5 minutes has said the same thing. Stop fragmenting your apps. We don't want 10 different apps to talk to someone. Make Voice business front, Hangouts personal, tie them BOTH into perspective business/personal Gmail accounts, and phase the rest out. Do you guys get your non techie friends and relatives to use these apps on a regular basis before shipping out another app? Normal people? There's absolutely no point in using a ton of one trick pony apps. It wastes time. Integrate them into three or four key apps, take the amazing features from (your lackluster, fragmented) apps your phasing out (video clarity of Duo, Assistant, Incognito chat from Allo, etc.) It's pretty ridiculous at the moment, having to use nearly a dozen different apps to essentially do the same thing with minor variations.

T70%
by T####:

Why is there another communication app? Why? Allo, duo, hangouts, hangouts dialer, hangouts meet, Android messages, Gmail, inbox, etc. Pick one in each category and make it awesome, not 8 apps with ok features that should just be combined!

T70%
by T####:

Pointless I'm not sure why Google makes good apps and than either forgets them or makes another app that is the pretty much the same thing or separate. Google should just do what imessage does all in one messaging app for desktop on a pc and for your phone maybe put all your messaging tech on one app like allo or Android messages?

T70%
by T####:

Buggy and feature incomplete. Poor replacement for hangouts and definitely needs a dozen work sprints to reach minimum release functionality.

T70%
by T####:

Why would I use this? Did users ask for the ability to have a crap load of messaging apps on their devices to manage instead.of say maybe one cohesive one?

H70%
by H####:

Why does this app even exist? Google, stop making more and more new chat apps (Allo, Duo, Hangouts Meet, Hangouts Chat), and instead just focus on making one outstanding app - Hangouts!

T70%
by T####:

~Stop complaining about the app! It's not geared towards everyone. If you don't need it don't download it. Stop downloading it to leave bad reviews while not understanding what it's for/who it's for, you idiots.

T70%
by T####:

I'm getting chat nosebleeds. Google is actively destroying it's own user base.

I70%
by I####:

Why not combine all of your chat apps into one, it would be much more easy and fluid for the customer

M70%
by M####:

What's the point of this app? And what's the use of Google Duo then? It's like "old wine in the same old bottle"

T70%
by T####:

STOP TRYING TO GET ME TO INSTALL YET ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR LAME MESSAGING APPS! YOU LOST, OK? GIVE UP YOU LOOSERS!!!

T70%
by T####:

Why more apps instead of one good one that everyone uses. Hangouts, duo, alo, hangouts meet ...What's next???

T70%
by T####:

Zomg fix hangouts and stop mucking around with 5 different messaging apps

T70%
by T####:

What a piece of UX garbage made by a completely clueless team. How about we break each component of messaging into a separate app?

T70%
by T####:

Looks just like duo. Need an all in one message/call/video app Not a Duo clone

T70%
by T####:

Like the idea obviously still early in launch. Needs ability to record meetings

T70%
by T####:

Fire whoever had this stupid idea. Fire the entire team.

T70%
by T####:

Why all this application!? Hangouts, Allo, Duo, and now Meet..!! Bad idea for users.

Q70%
by Q####:

Google! Stop! What are you doing? We can't tell what your direction is with Messaging on Android.

T70%
by T####:

Stop this thing, and improve hangouts!

T70%
by T####:

Don't take away Hangouts .... Kill Allo

T70%
by T####:

Google is really messing this up big time!
