Live Case Editions

I ordered this case before I got my pixel XL phone. Unfortunately it took a lot longer for my phone to arrive than expected. When I did get my phone I fitted the case only to find that the button does not work. It make a sound when I press it but nothing else happens. I tried to return the case and have been told that the 15 day period has expired. That's because I didn't have the the for 2 months!!!!!! Don't buy this case it doesn't work.

I put on my live case and the button on it and it brought up play store to download the app. I go through the steps and it gets to the last one where it says to unlock you phone and push the botton. I do and nothing happens!?! Aggravating

So, like that app said, I would see a new live background everyday. It changed it once, from the Popcorn to the Dog, but then never changed again over maybe a 3 day period

Cannot activate this Google Earth live case: I've enabled the NFC at my Pixel XL and installed the Live case app from Google play store, follow the instructions from the app, when reaching to the last step that required me to press the NFC button at the back of case, just hear a sound but nothing happened. Bad thing! I am very disappointed with Google and such live Case. I have learned that so many people faced such issue.

I think this is some what a rip off....good idea don't get me wrong but so hard to figure out for one and like I think I got it to work and if I did I'm sorry it's a rip off

Bought a skrillex phone case love the case but press the button on the back it comes up with something but it says it's empty really annoyed but lovely case if this could be sorted let me know

The app worked once with my case. Now I hold the button and my flash light will turn on and off so the case is fine but the app doesn't reapond

The idea is so cool but but the case qualities is so so bad I wish I didn't take it

I bought the case thinking the live wallpaper would match the design (popcorn and soda). It did for the first day, then started changing wallpaper daily to the other Jeremy Scott case designs. The app doesn't give me an option to turn off the daily wallpaper change. Any help Google?

App doesn't get past activate screen; no option to change button functions. Unclear how to set wallpaper. Help resources unsatisfactory. Returning this, not worth it.

Currently freezes whenever shortcut button is activated.

I've had this wallpaper for three days now and it hasn't changed as described in the app

I can't get passed the set up wall paper screen I put it on unlock it and press and nothing happens. I will be returning tomorrow.

App didn't work. Only shows one of the 28 scenes from Swan lake. Wasted an hour with Google"specialists" whose product knowledge was found lacking.

After 10 days of usage, I realized that this case is so overpriced. I wish that I can return it, however I already tossed the box it came with. Sigh!!! I am going back to the clear case.

Except the NFC button in the back. The button is in a hard to reach position and activating it is not easy and takes several tries. Also, it would be nice to be able to use the photo or map license app with this

The layout is pretty neat, but it appears that the NFC button doesn't work while my screen is off, which is a bit disappointing.

The NFC button work with the screen off. Other than that, pretty cool.

I'm actually updating my original review. After having the case for about 2 weeks now, I can say most issues have addressed them self. The wallpaper seems to actually be updating with images more, the nfc button does become easier to use, (on the nexus 6 anyway) if you use it constantly, and the quality is nice. Especially the box it comes in. Idk if its worth $40, but definitely around $30. Maybe find on sale? Anyway 4 stars.

The case is a really nice case. The app itself isn't all that great due to the fact that I've seen the same 3 wallpapers all day today. I would think if there's a satellite floating in space it would take a lot more pictures of just the same 3 in the same exact location, however I may be wrong. The button is hard to press as well, but is not impossible. And yes I've turned off the wifi only load for the photos.

The case kind of does function as described. I bought one for the hell of it. They could have at the least made it from a tougher material...really? $40 for that?  Quality: 3/10 Functionality: 6/10 Case appearance: 7/10 Overall: 5/10 Would not recommend unless you are a big fan of Sonny. At $40 I would expect a real signature on the product. The "live images of earth" aren't live at all. 100% certain they are the exact same photos on random shuffle. If Google reads this, I demand a refund.

Case is sweet on my Nexus 6 and I'm noticing more than a few different backgrounds, shortcut button is decent. I will say it wasn't that easy to pop on and I'm sure it'll be the same coming off, but other than that I like, especially the constellations at night.

... we are fans who purchased your product! Checked back today to see if there were updates (as promised in your 7/1 posting). Regarding your pithy comment calling those of us criticizing your underwhelming phone case and software 'haters'. All the updates on the world aren't going to make up for selling us a shell (not a case) with a few satellite photos, calling it a 'Live Case' when nothing is 'live' about it. Previously rated 3 stars but back to 1 now.

It's a nice looking phone case that also feels nice in your hand. That's it. The wallpaper is not ..really a "live wallpaper". the case function button doesn't work most of the time. Like 98%. The app is useless. Don't hate it... but I wouldn't recommend it based on the advertising and current price.

For $40, you get a $10 case, a functional app, three wallpapers that cycle during the day, and a button that's pretty worthless on the Note 4. The only "live" aspect is the fact that the walls cycle every now and then, and there's a little glitch animation as if the satellite is beaming stuff; except it's not. You get THREE Earth shots (did I mention that?) The button is awkward to press due to its placement, and is hard to press anyway. The case is good only for scratch protection.

I'm not much of a shrillex fan, but I liked the design of the circuit case. It looks great on my N6, it's slimmer than my spigen case. There aren't many cases for the N6, so I got it for the look. I'm not sure about its durability. Let's just say I'll be extra careful not to drop it. The app is so-so. Programming the NFC button to the camera app is pretty slick, but otherwise it's useless. It should do more than link to shrillex news, GE, or the sky map. I don't use the live wallpaper, seems useless too.

Uninstalling this battery draining app. 50% drain from 11pm to 5am while off the charger and not in use. Reported it to Google no response of course. I expect more our of an app developed by Google.

6/19/15- The picture gallery seems to have gotten much better over the past few weeks, so I'll raise my review to 3 stars. The case looks good, but I'm not sure how much protection it will provide when the phone is dropped. The NFC 'button' takes way too much force to depress and frequently does not even work. The wallpaper also looks nice, but there is not a lot of variety with the images. Very disappointing.

I jumped on ordering this the moment I saw the design. But what really caught my attention was the NFC button at the back of the case. I started visualizing a whole lot of ways of using it..then, it arrived yesterday.. And it doesn't do jack s***. The button press needs to be really really hard..sometimes, it works with an initial press. I'm guessing the alignment with the NFC inside is messed up. Long story short..do..not..buy..this..case.

Poorly executed. I love the themes and the wallpapers and everything but it slows down the device to a standstill and I have to reboot all the time. I love what you guys are doing but it makes my phone too slow.

Mistakes like this will cost Google a lot. Nothing is true as advertised about this case. It's just any other case, the NFC button is the only reason I bought this and it sucks. It's not at all worth the money.

~~~Edit: The nfc button location is not on top of where the note 4 detects an nfc connection. If I take the case off and move it slightly to the right, the button works and registers. This product does not work for my note 4 as intended. ~~~The live case app doesn't recognize that I'm pressing the button. I am 100% sure NFC is on. When I put my phone to sleep, I see a brief glimpse of the next screen in the app, but I cannot actually get to it. Nothing happens when I press the case button at any time.

The same images cycle in the Live wallpaper app. Case hard to take off. Button useless, either it does not respond, or just keeps turning on by itself.

Waste of money

The Case: Circuit case for the Nexus 5. The extra button on back is completely useless! The button is a big reason I got the case and was willing to shell out $40 for it. It works about 50% of the time. It needs to be pressed REALLY hard. I was hoping a little more than normal pressure, but you really have to press down on that thing. Putting so much pressure on it while trying to hold your phone normal is really awkward. Plus you have to hold it down for like 4-5 seconds. I switched the functionality to camera. And its so much easier just to touch a camera icon rather than man handle this button. Also, it doesnt work while the screen is not on & it only works on the homescreens. It really is useless. I love the design of the case though. It looks cool & is printed well. The case fits well on the phone, though its near impossible to get off. It more slick than I am used too, so I find it sliding around more (on my passenger car seat, etc). The App: The live wallpaper itself is not as described. I thought it would give me different satellite views of the earth based on whatever the satellite sees. Instead it gives me the same 5'ish satellite shots. It just cycles through them.

Love the live wall paper just wish I got it sooner to see what is would look like early but, the case is well made. And I wish the button was better placed on the case, and easier to push.

The case is awesome and I like the app, but I can't download the special OWSLA album, when I click the link, Google play opens and says item not found

For a button that you can make do whatever you want, it sure is hard to press, the NFC connection always stalls, and again, for a live wallpaper of space it sure does show the same 4 pictures over and over

Freaking fangasming over here :O ! NOTE TO THE FOLKS GETTING IT - GET THE WHITE ONE - got the lil planet case, and in person it doesn't shine like the white one would have.
