Android wear release please! This would be amazing there. The emoji drawing makes me smile every time. I'm amazed how bad my drawings are and yet it still understands me. Edit: Android Wear is here! Thanks again for this.

Not a bad idea, it's just too slow to write with it. It's a pain to use this app. The regular Google keyboard with sliding feature is way better than this and that's hyperfast!

Why can't I get this to work on my huawei watch.. I uninstalled and installed several times... it doesn't show up.. when I looked in the settings it says not loaded..

Works well on my LG G Watch R! Would be nice to change the speed though, it's a bit slow for me

Samsung Galaxy S7 - Awesome! But like everything, it's not perfect... Yet! Please add a button to enable it in the Gboard keyboard, NOT switching apps by pressing the switch language button. It doesn't make any sense! Why don't you incorporate it in Gboard? It's actually a very pertinent question. Then it will be a very easy to use feature.

X70%
by X####:

I think this would be better if you append an user original definition character feature, for example Id' like to function for the cursor sliding to the next line by writing a char '/n'. And then this app is somewhat not good at recogning apostroph. I liked this!

by X####:

Really disappointed because I couldn't change the setting to allow the app to work. Step one, Enable Google Handwriting Input. I even went to the help page for this info and all it said was that the app will either guide you, or you'll see it in the language settings. Neither was true for me. I don't think my device supports it. Samsung Chromebook Plus.

difficult to navigate, very uncompatable with other apps. ItDoesn't evework in Google Docs!! I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tablet S 3 . It doesn't work fast, doesnt work well with chinese. Overall is terrible if you are a tablet user. It's a big mess... And Google does not CARE.

X70%
by X####:

It's a good start, but should be further along now technically considering leaps and bounds others are making in handwriting recognition. It's disappointing that it will only recognise one word at a time. This destroys the flow of thought. If you do write two or more words it sticks them together as if one word, or invents a completely new word found nowhere in the English language.

Very promising but needs some basic functionality. In particular it desperately needs swipe to delete multiple letters and words like gboard. Swiping right to left should select text for deletion. The undo button is poorly placed and clumsy to use.

X70%
by X####:

Word/symbol recognition seems pretty good. Really disapointed it doesn't recognise input for backspace, newline (carriage return), or other basic keyboard functions. If I could do everything on the pad Instead of having to find little buttons, it would be really awesome.

by X####:

It works even if the phone does not support your language. Check it! Go to configure language, turn it off "system Ianguage" and and enable "active input method". English is default and select your languages also to your choice. Select "Handwriting input mode". Handwriting in old form also works in it. I wonder how care was given by Google for each language.....

But still not as accurate as Samsung's handwriting recognition on my Note 7. I think Samsung's interface and the way it allows you to rapidly edit your input is also far superior. That said, competition breeds innovation and so I'm excited to see how this evolves over time.

X70%
by X####:

I'm using the app now, and while not the fastest method, it would be faster with a stylus and even without I think it is perfect for someone who finds themselves constanty making mistakes while typing. Extremely user friendly. ☺ One of my only complaints would be the difficulty in making emojis.

Use this for typing Chinese but the keyboard shows up a few seconds after tapping a certain text field so I have to wait for a while.. why so laggy? Other apps are flying on this top-tier phone.

X70%
by X####:

I enjoy using this because it generally gets more accurate results than typing or swiping but its not great at recognising cursive writing which is a bit odd since this is a handwriting app. Unfortunately its also too slow to be really useful. I hope this app will improve in the future because I prefer writing to typing.

I have download and installed this app on my Huawei p8 lite. On settings I browse for Languages, I can not find Malayalam. All Huawei users are facing this problem. It was working fine on my old phone Micromax Unite 2. Please fix this problem.

by I####:

It's a great interface for writing. Better and faster than Samsung's built-in interface. It just needs to have a button to quickly toggle to keyboard or voice input when you need it. Right now, you have to always use handwriting because switching with the keyboard settings is too inefficient.

Handwrit8ng 8npit works but text is mak8mg 8nput severel6 flawed by autoselecr8mg n7mbers when I'm typing letters. Handwriting input is also wa6 too fast f9r a beginner level.

S70%
by S####:

Poor word recognition necessitates frequent backspacing and manual correction. You can't overwrite, cross out or insert letters as you write, unlike with Samsung's handwriting input. I do like that there are SEPARATE language-specific keyboards. ("Multilingual" keyboards are annoying.) If you write carefully, you can make it work. Ease of switching between this and Google's Gboard is a plus, since I like Gboard.

Actually it's a nice app. I was using it for long time in my old Samsung phone. But now in my new Redmi when i am using Malayalam handwriting input, after writing in keyboard it comes only after pressing space. It's irritating a lot.

Amazing handwriting recognition. Google blows expectations out of the water, as usual. One major problem is, no one wants to use handwriting all the time, yet there is no way to change back to keyboard mode without exiting your current task and finding system settings. This cumbersome aspect forces one to choose to strictly use handwriting or keyboard only. I choose keyboard only. tldr - needs an easy way to change between writing input and keyboard input directly from the interface

My Huawei mate8 which is newly purchased with latest 6.0 OS is not supporting malayalam language in the language list. As per Huawei showroom in Dubai saying, google did not considered huawei latest mobiles also this problem is not from huawei...kindly provide an update to Huawei mate 8 mobile with malayalam, so I will give 5 stars.

I love being able to not only "capture" my screen and write on it, but being able handwrite a message to someone is so much easier then typing it! And it recognizes even my sloppy handwriting! ♥️

Q70%

Okay, this app is quite good at interpreting most common words, but when it comes to specific terms, it makes mistakes. Also, it knows alphabet and numbers for the selected language, but when it comes to special Unicode symbols (Greek letters, mathematical symbols), it doesn't recognise them. Thirdly, writing is a priori slower than typing for most people. So, what's the point of this?

X70%
by X####:

With the S-Pen on my Galaxy Note 2, Google handwriting input has poor accuracy and is clumsy to use. Stylus Beta is far superior - more accurate, faster and easier to use.

Difficult in swyping, very bad prediction and not predicting at all times (not about password), very poor dictionary setting (Not saving my words and if saved it is not reproducing) and many more problems... Plz give a good update. For now I'm uninstalling this app.

All..Huawei user are facing this problem.... that we can't get Malayalam language for download... There is no change by Google side to clear this problem...for all Huawei users...... After the release of this app we are rising this questions...... still no response from...Google side

X70%

it is an useful app. Only problem I am facing is it is not an easy switch with Samsung keyboard. If loading it was as easy as switching the language it would have been best. Load handwritting, go to typing and start typing. Once you changed keyboard, repeat the boring again is irritating.

I was so fed up by typing my local language malayalam in english and receivers could barely understand what I was intending....this app has made a difference......thank u so much............ I will definitely give it a 5 star..

Very hard for using this app. bcoz We r from Kerala and also needs Malayalam language only. But app automatically selected two languages. English & Malayalam. Sometimes selected only English. so are facing difficulties in this app.

Does not allow download of any language other than English UK. Keeps crashing. Tried every fix, simple and ridiculously complex ways too. Nothing works. Utter waste.

X70%

I'm really impressed. My handwritting is terrible, but this app almost always gets it right! I certainly prefer a traditional onscreeen keyboard on my phone, but I could see how it might be useful for a tablet.

X70%
by X####:

It isn't too useful for English but for Chinese it is really useful to study with. It understands just about everything I input it's pretty insane actually, since my Chinese looks pretty bad on paper much less on a phone screen. Great for studing. Though I'll probably stick to pinyin input for actual typing. 很好!

find a way to get app to learn personal writing style. For example, my distinct writing is not easily reconized by the app. forcing me change my writing style rather than learning and adjusting to me. work fine if I print.

i rarely use this app bc whenever i switch to handwriting input from any other keyboard on my phone, it completely freezes my phone for several minutes. when the app does actually work, it helps me type foreign characters i don't recognize.

Understands even my hand writing. Just one complaint once you revert to texting you need to go back to the google input app and restart texting

Typing in Devnagari script has never been easier than this... Although it takes time for typing a whole sentence or Para compared to keyboard input.. Thank you

Don't know what your all talking about, this is great! I'm using it right now! Way better than the one on my phone. It recognises every word I write. I recomend it. ∞

I had high hopes in using this for Japanese input, but it turned out to be almost useless for real work. The recognition engine seems to work fine, but the pad is totally static and doesn't give you enough room to write more than a few characters at a time. It can be impossible to complete a long word or phrase in one go. Mazec3 and Samsung allow for continuous workflow and editing errors before entry. It's surprising that google still can"t match the competition in such basic usability.
