Google Wallet

The only reason I used this app to send and receive money is because my husband and best friend use it. I can't use it now. They stopped approving money transfers and when I contacted support, they said they needed to verify my identity, they sent me an email with a link to verify my identity. The email I setup wallet with was prepopulated in the link. I submitted a driver's license ID and my homeowner's insurance bill plus gave them my SSN. I get an email back the next day stating they couldn't locate my account with the email​I provided! So, now I just helped my husband setup another more popular money transfer app. We'll use that from now on.

This is how my boyfriend and I split all of our bills. Some things come out of his accounts and some from mine and Google wallet makes splitting the cost of the bills so quick and painless. The fact that there are no fees from the app or our banks is unbelievable and amazing. As long as this app never changes I will use it forever.

Great easy to use and great to share and borrow money with friends and family out of town... No need to go to Walmart or Western union anymore... My only suggestion would be to make it possible to be able to use a prepaid/reloadable and/or credit cards to cash out.

Sometimes works sometimes doesn't. Call Google to ask why, they say that they want my soc security number in order to work reliably. Ok Google, why do you think your customers are ignorant

My girlfriend and I use it to transfer any split costs. From rent to kitchen supplies to groceries. It's fast, easy, and a game changer. No more visits to the ATM or taking cash out or getting charged a fee! Couldn't be happier!

What's the deal with this no longer instant deposit through debit cards? I've lost so much from this expected delivery 2 days after the payment is made then it cancels and returns then my account is all messed up.

My girlfriend sent me money twice to my phone number but I havent been able to access it. The app says once someone sends me money to my number it would link it to the app but never happened. So now I have no way of accessing it. How can you fix the issue

I'm a faithful Google user and loved this app when there was a physical wallet card. There are other apps that do the same thing and I used the physical wallet card was a big selling point when getting people to join... Now I'm having to download their apps. I still use this with people who already had the app before you g ot rid of the card.

I have $200 stuck in limbo, because the app won't let me link my phone number without a text message. I have no idea who thought that was a good idea.

It is easy enough to send money. My roommates and I use it for utilities. It doesn't let me do change though, just whole dollars. If this is a function it's not clear how to do it. I also greatly miss the google wallet card linking.

Yeah, like I said in my last review, it's p much the best way to send money. When it works. I contacted support like they suggested, but AMAZINGLY nothing could be done because like I said, my FIANCEE is the one having an issue using it. Wallet support was no help to me whatsoever.

Saves me a trip to the bank each month to pay my dad what I owe him. Love this app, and no hassle what so ever to setup and use.

I don't know why Google had to go and make Android Pay and Google Wallet separate apps, and it's kind of annoying when Google fragments their apps like this. Apps should have more functionality included into one single app, not a hundred different apps that do a hundred very specific things.

Easy to sign up for, deposits money to my account quickly

I love this app, been using it for a couple years. Transfers money instantly from any bank account to another. Super helpful for those who hate owing friends $. No need to be spotted if u forget your card!

Great app. Wish I could cash out, send money, link, etc with my bluebird and paypal though as well.

So now we can't even use our physical google wallet card in stores anymore? Google keeps getting worst and worst!

It's amazing, our friend group uses this app and we love it. Getting delivery with a bunch if friends has never been so easy!

I use to really like this app. I recently re-downloaded it and wanted to use it for the first time in a while. Unfortunately I cant seem to remember my pin and got locked out. The app will not allow me to reset it. I have tried multiple days thinking that maybe the app is down or something but every time I reset my pin it pops up the same error "Something went wrong please try again later." I need to use this app ASAP if you guys could please look into this and I would gladly give you the 5 stars I believe you deserve. THANK YOU

Works well and is very quick. Use it all the time to send money to my kids and for birthday and graduation gifts.

Great idea and fast way to send money to the people you love! Beats western union any day!

Bring back the Wallet card! Simple and Amex don't provide similar products. With the Wallet card, I could go through the checkout, be given a total, add that much to my card instantly, and pay. Simple takes two to three days to load money. Amex is similar.

Update: I've taken one star off my review. For whatever reason Wallet keeps "tricking" me into sending money to wrong person. Whenever I type in a name (that is common, like John), instead of bringing up my most recent/frequent contacts it puts people I haven't talked to in years (on gmail or elsewhere) at the top of the list. I've gotten wise to this and double check the recipient. However, now even after selecting the right name I just had it send money to someone's phone number instead of their email address. And this is someone I've sent money many times in the past using Wallet, so why would it change now? I found this to be one of the cheapest/quickest ways to send money to friends. Especially when they want cash in hand. When drawing from a bank account and depositing to a bank account transfers happen very fast (a day or less). The first transfer I made took a little longer. Besides that, the app interface is clean and easy to use.

DO NOT USE THIS APP unless you can afford to have your money in limbo for 3 to 5 business days. NEVER attempt to run a transaction a second time if it fails the first time because the failed amounts are not returned to you for 3 to 5 business days!

Still good for transferring/receiving money to/from friends and colleagues but I really miss the Wallet Card.

This app needs to be fixed but everytime I open it, it says "Please try again in a few minutes." Google wallet shuts down immediately.

I really enjoy how easy Google wallet is to use, works great, and doesn't charge a fee!

Really enjoy the ease of sharing money between roommates. You fly. I buy. Has never been easier.

If your account get suspended, not easy to figure out how to fix it.

Very nice money transfer app, by far the fastest deposits of any app I've used so far. The interface is simple and elegant, keep up the awesome work google!

Simple to use. Account is linked directly to my debit card and I don't have to tell the app to transfer incoming money to my debit card. Beats out PayPal for me in ease of use and trustworthiness.

I think it's pointless without the debit card feature
