Google fit has really gotten much better for cycling. Two issues still though. 1. No auto pause option while riding. 2. It doesn't keep track of my heart rate with my Moto 360 2nd gen during workouts, unless I also install the app "Heart rate OS - Android Watch." With that app installed and connected to Google fit, Google fit will give me a full heart rate range and average for my workout.

It's always telling me to turn on location detection and high accuracy mode, but location services are enabled and it sucks up way to much battery if it's in high accuracy mode. It's not tracking steps accurately or even close to accurate and has become less user friendly. I used to love this app, but now I'm looking for a new one.

Used this app with OnePlus and it worked well. Now, using Nexus 6P, the app is quirky. The design is different so probably the refactoring introduced bugs. After I start/stop a single activity, I am no longer able to start another or manually add one (dialog goes through but timer is not started/data is not saved). Also, the app most often records my inactive calories as ~1.6k but seen it record once or twice as ~200. Definitely liked the older design more as this one feels a bit over-engineered.

Still have sync issue with Mi Fit app. After Feb 2017 update, it only show 2 min of activity, regardless of how many steps it shows on Mi Fit. Entry on web will not be shown on the app either. No longer Sync properly with the associated device, nor apps. Can you incorporate a sync button for real-time update from either device or web-portal?

U70%
by U####:

Even the app have good options, the design of the app is not user-friendly. Options to be given in (eg. Target achievements,Graphs, Log,etc). Otherwise all options should be in slide view or in home page. Custom option or Preferred view to be added for Period(Day,week, month) and its field(Action time,Steps,Distance,Calories). And it will be more useful, if they include tips, articles and research report related to fitness. New option to be included for Sprint.

Better than nothing, but I would still recommend getting a dedicated tracer. App most likely works better with a paired wearable, but without that it's lacking accurate information and a lot of features. Pro: free and can be used without external device. Con: slow to update (although you can manually activate it for real time data ... defeating the purpose of an app that advertises auto-tracking) and somewhat inaccurate (same route can vary by 0.5 km from day to day).

U70%
by U####:

The latest update just counts inaccurate number of steps. Even if I ride a bus it is counting my steps. It says I have reached 10000 steps but in reality on an average with similar activity I used to accumulate round 5k. I have it paired with my watch, maybe that's why it is doing it? Please fix it.

I finally tried the Moto 360 version of this app yesterday and found it to be a real battery hog. I started the workout with about 95% of the battery life remaining as it had been off charger for maybe an hour to 90 minutes. My workout lasted about 90 minutes and when I checked the status about an hour in, the battery was 100% dead. Makes the app unusable.

U70%
by U####:

Glitchy and inaccurate. My two devices give me conflicting results. One of them is closer (the older phone, if you can believe it) but neither of them are right. I also have access to a clock, ya know…so you can't trick me.

U70%
by U####:

Still not replacing Runtastic, but a good health tracker. Missing heart monitor and more data sync between partners app (MiFit or other). Why not medical info too? Like the outdated Google website

U70%
by U####:

Great app in theory, poor in execution. For three days in a row now I've seen the step count actually go down through out the day. The so called "high accuracy" mode is worthless as I ran for nearly 45 minutes and only a few steps were counted. This app has a ton of potential but it needs some revision. In the meantime, you'd be better suited with one of the other fantastic fitness apps on the market.

I use this app as a pedometer and a calorie tracker. Lately I've noticed that it just quits tracking steps after 6 or 7 pm. No idea why. It would be nice if the home screen had the numbers broken down (inactive vs active). It would also be nice if the timeline would default to the total calories instead of just the daily burn.

I love this application BUT it keep crashing on my Android phone. I have been using it for my biking and walking. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. If they fix the problem then it will be the greatest app around, it handles so much and I love the fact that I can upload it to my computer.

This app was working great and then, in the middle of the day, it just stopped tracking my steps. Please fix it! EDIT: I got it working again for one day and now it's not syncing correctly with my food tracker. You all need to get this together and fixed STAT!

Many features seem only half-implemented, like tracking weight that doesn't allow you to delete an entry. And when you enter a new weight, the graph's not updated so it looks like it didn't work. You can imagine how poorly that works out together! Another thing is how I managed to walk a whole heap of steps while lying in bed...

Some cool features but I dont find it that accurate . I use it with a Gen 1 moto x and android wear on a Moto 360. Steps are significantly off. Rating 2 stars Update 1: I got a fit bit, it worked perfectly but is not integrated as much as AW watches. So, I pulled out my Moto 360 again and tried Fit to see if it improved. I could not get it to track steps on my watch. The good news is that I just updated my watch. A new Huawei Watch and guess what, Google fit does not work at all. it does not track steps. Two thumbs down. The Huawei software works fine. I will try other apps but I think Google Fit has wasted enough of my time. I really want it to work but alas...it does not. I want to remove it from my phone and watch both but now it looks like it is integrated into the OS on both. Rating 1 star. Update 2: I tried to delete the app but could only deactivate it and delete all the data off my phone. I just could not leave well enough alone and eventually tried it again. I was able to connect the Wuawei fitness app to Fit via the Wuawei app. Fit started to work. Seems to work ok now. Rating 3 stars.

Decent app to record things but UX needs a lot of improvement. I go to the gym and don't have my phone on me so i like to record my workouts later. Doing this proves difficult at times if i want to record a few activities. I.e. running for 40 min and strength training for 30 mins, I have to make sure I've adjusted the time so that they don't overlap or the second activity will overtake the other. Another thing that annoys me is that recording/editing/viewing activities from the previous day is tedious and it doesnt show me a simple overview of the day. When I try to edit activities from a previous day, the app crashes. This app has potential but needs work.

I last complained about this problem in July 2016 but it still hasn't been solved yet until this day!!! The goal (widget) still resets after every few hours!!! Why do I still have to set my goal every few hours??? Can't it just stay?!?!?! I love the calories goal widget but this reset problem really pisses me off!!! Please fix this!!!

The app suddenly can't count steps properly. It reports 12000 steps overnight. Also, the displayed step count will jump around before my eyes... 50000 then 8000 then 50000 again

I really love this app. I bought a Xiaomi mi band specifically because it was the cheapest thing I could connect to this app. I love how many apps can be connected to it. Before I updated it it was doing this weird thing where it would reset and I would have to set my goal every time I opened the app. Now that I've updated it though I think it's fine.

For a fitness app this app lacks some basic functionality like resting heart rate, sleep tracking, etc. UI is very confusing. Would love to see features like hourly step goals, water goals, average stationary time.

Using this app to compete in StepBet. Very sporadic readings. Sometime will not track at all & sometimes takes steps away. I am very dedicated to this competition & Google Fit has completely disgusted me. I put up money for StepBet & Google Fit is not accurate at all. I am having to take WAY more steps just to get in my required number. Next competition, I will be going with Fit Bit.

Very disappointed. Not updated all my steps. S. Health says I made 10556 steps but this app, Good fit says I made 6,734 steps...upsetting me. Bc I walked around for no reasons bc I am on a challenge. This app will make me lose...smh.

Been using this app for about a week. This app has everything I need to track my health and fitness. I use in conjunction with a few other apps but it syncs well and keeps everything neatly in one place. Not sure how accurate the steps are but it seems pretty descent so far.

It is very useful and handy tool. But its not working for me since yesterday i uninstalled and installed again but it is hanging at turn on location history. Also even i ride my motorcycle it shows as biking and shows calories burned.

Used to work paired to my old phone. No that my watch has paired to the new phone, I have to have the face be something that shows steps as the "step tracker" doesn't work properly. Very frustrating and hopefully fixed soon.

I have used Google Fit in the past on my Samsung Galaxy phone. I now have a Google Pixel phone but cannot get the Fit app to run. I get as far as the 'Turn on Location History' screen and then it just loads for hours. With Spring around the corner I was looking forward to using this app again to get and stay healthy.

Works well, but a major problem is that it overwrites your earlier workouts sometimes when inputting them manually, completely cascading into changed calories, steps, activity, etc; even when inputting differing activities and times. Good example was this morning when I did elliptical from 0950 to 1015 and weightlifting from 1020 to 1115. Even though I put it in exactly that way, the weightlifting completely overrode the elliptical and erased all that data. Not very pleasant.

U70%

This App is good, but not so accurate. After some days the previous data is erasing automatically even though i was logged in with google account. Is there any possibility to get the previous data? If yes? Reply

I'm forced to use this app since Polar doesn't work with MyFitnessPal on Android. This app doesn't update after 7 p.m. or so, and lately it isn't picking up any of my workouts. Then, sometimes 2 days later, it'll update and cause the day's activity be negative 300. Considering a new activity tracker so that I don't have to rely on this terrible app any longer l.

Google did you actually try lifting some weights with the new LG Watch Sport? The strength training activity doesn't record anything during a workout. Those 3 big buttons dig into your wrist bad causing unwanted button presses and make the watch uncomfortable! The band is uncomfortable too. Fit says I bike all the time but I never do. Needs more auto detecting activities & sleep tracking. Google does things half way some times. Fit bit & Garmin can do it right.

It is a really good app to get, and there are lots of goals and activities you can choose. There is a step counter, a pace counter and a weight logger. Suggestions to Google: When a toast message at the bottom of the screen appears, the + button moves up and when the toast goes away the + button still stays in the air. Please fix

Simplest bike tracker. I love how accurate it is. I do bike deliveries so I don't want to have to start and stop tracking like other apps need you to do. This one senses everything and logs it on it's own. A+ app, a reason I've stuck with Android.

I bought a new Mi Band 2 and downloaded this app to have a unified view of all my activities, but it doesn't sync with my Mi band 's steps. Disappointed

U70%
by U####:

The app tells me it is unable to function because Location history is not available. Location services tells me that Location History is not available in the country where I am. WTF Google! GEOBLOCKING FUNCTIONALITY IS RASCISM. The user interface looks really dated and its a shame I can't sync data from S Health because the only reason I want to use Fit is to sync data with another app.

Y70%
by Y####:

Its not accurate with step count.. I use other apps and google maybe counts 1 out of 5 steps.. everything else seems to be spot on such as the distance and calorie count.. this app also has better features.. it just needs to fix better with step count..

U70%
by U####:

It seems to lose calories from my tracker, but then finds them again the next day. I'll be up to 2000 calories, then drop to 1700, then the next day or will have 2500

U70%
by U####:

Exactly what I needed. I love that it tracks all my activity and works with connected apps. Very motivating! Just wish you could change the weight logs, because it logged mine incorrectly and now I can't modify it...

G70%
by G####:

This app is just awesome... Still I'd like to suggest one feature if possible... It'd be great if we could see the active times (not the location tracking) of our loved ones just like trusted contacts... Suggesting this to keep a record of my parents activity as i stay far away from home :)

U70%
by U####:

I am disabled and my daily exercises are not in the activity list. I would like to be able to add the activities I can actually do. The integration with Kardia is worthless. There is no integration with Omron blood pressure cuff. No integration with Fitbit scale. No integration with Heartmath. So, I need to keep all my data on paper. why bother with the app?
