Google Drive

This is better than One Drive. Someone mentioned in the review One Drive is better and they give you more space, well they don't. Microsoft gives you a laughable 5gb. Google gives all Android users 15gb plus unlimited photo space using the photo app. There is nothing wrong with this app, is it better than One Drive? Probably but its up to personal preference. I like the layout in both and use both on my phone and PC. This is 5 starts from me and my first choice drive storage.

Mike, moto e running 5.1 Using this app on my cellphone marries up my files with my Chromebook and tablet easily, but I need to be able to log out of the app when someone else uses my phone or in case we lose it or its stolen. I can log out on the Chromebook, but on android, have to remove the Google account. That's ridiculous. We need to be able to shut it down, or use pin access to enter the app. Other than that, this app just works for me and it's getting better, no problems experienced. Some update notes would be nice.

Very good. However when you upload a file the app size increases as well. For example of i upload all my music (2.5GB) the drive app size will increase by 2.5GB. Which turns into 5GB of space taken up. This app is there to help clear space from your phone. However if you clear app data the size goes back to normal so that's ok. But still, try to fix this. It's supposed to be a cloud storage. Not a storage on your storage.

I rate it 3 star.. Because this apps not the best for cloud storage.. The storage capacity not big (15gb is enough for saving important data).. But for me, its doesn't enough.. Cuz i have a lot of song & movie, so i need more space for save it,, and all the important is free... So many cloud storage offer the big space capacity like mega or 4shared for free account... So i choose them for the best cloud...

Have been using this service for years, It gets better & better, it may the best one, so far so good and reliable cloud service but not for its security. The things bothering me is STILL No App. Lock both passcode and fingerprint lock as Dropbox's feature. Just like other almost all Google's Apps, this App. is also hard enough to disable to run in background even when User is not using this; Just concerning the battery life and RAM consumption. Like many Apps, it automatically restarts when Phone starts online. Anyway, Thank you for creating & continuously developing this App. Keep it up!

It's frustrating to use this app! . when I save a web page only the link text gets saved so I still have to copy paste the link onto a browser to access it. Why can't I save a web page in its entirety and view it offline or online as I wish?

I love this app specifically because I don't have to drive my own car anymore. If I've had a particularly long & stressful day I just open up this app and it takes care of getting me home. To date I've only had accidents using it but they were nothing compared to the relaxation I got out of not having to drive myself.

I love it! Once you get your head around it it is so convenient! Using it for university and it works perfectly in sync with my chromebook, Windows laptop and my phone so I can always access all my notes and assignments and everything else I need! The only thing I would add is inbuilt synonyms option in google docs (like in Microsoft Word) but it is a solid 5 stars for me! :-)

Useless piece of crap, that pixel forces me to use.... Won't detect screenshots when you need to upload them to any support... What it does force you to do is upload it to the cloud then it will detect.... Well idiots ,I don't won't to upload a screenshot to the friggin cloud... This is simple stuff here, you can't get it right... Morons

Close to impossible to delete files. Two different accounts and they do the same thing: I deleted folders that had thousands of files in them. However, they never delete as you have to delete them from the "recent" folder. Thousands of files, bit by bit. Then they reappear. Had to search "*.*" over and over in the recent folder and stay in that folder for the files to finally delete. Spent hours doing this. What a horrible system.

I love the fact that I can upload all my stuff in case I lose my phone... but I do have one issue. My pictures of my daughter show up when I use drive on my PC... but I can't see them from my phone. That is the only folder affected. The pics of my kids are the most important so why aren't they there?

Google Drive is amazing, but I'm surprised that developers haven't provided users with the built-in option of password protecting the app. I've gone through the settings to see if I simply missed it but the option isn't there. I use McAfee Total Protection, which allows me to lock my apps, but I think that when apps have their own password protect features, they're more secure. Both Dropbox and OneDrive has this option in their settings. Google Drive is better but it's just missing this one feature.

It didn't even let me get into it! You are better off on the computer. I don't know what's wrong with my phone. It might work for you but I'm warning you it does not work for me! I kinda feel bad for the owner of this app but whoever made this app please fix it!

Unprofessional! On my paid work account documents and pictures uploaded from a phone to Drive take too long to show up on the PC app. In other words they are in the cloud but do not always download to the drive app on my PC. There is no manual refresh or sync option on the PC. On a daily basis I have to manually download from the cloud to my PC. When things work as they are designed it's great. But this is not reliable enough for me at work. How's does Google think this is acceptable?

SUCKS. Paid my $20 or $30 for 100GB, but auto upload from mobile devices take DAYS to occur. Wish I'd stick with OneDrive- that work flawlessly and fast. Google Photos is also a MESS, lots of unnecessary features and a pain to use.

This app has many faults,i will point all one by one 1) we have to waste our data twice in uploading files,just think we upload our files and then if we want it offline again we have to upload it,hence data is wasted even on wifi.eg,if we upload 500 mb file,to offline also the same memory,so 1gb wasted. 2) whatever file we upload to offline,the app size musnt increase,eg this app takes 31 mb in device storage,if i upload a file of 39 mb to offline,the device takes 71 mb space,so we cant use offline features at all bcos if we upload a movie of 2gb to offline,our device will be bricked. 3) whatever files we upload to offline,even though we clear our data in device it must be there bcos we cant upload twice...rectify these faults soon

Love this app and Google Drive. I just upgraded my storage from 1TB to 2TB for $27.99 per month since you finally offer 2TB storage now. Its a bit expensive but id rather trust google for storage than any other cloud provider.

Please fix this problem. Anytime I upload a file though my phone vs my laptop or PC, I can never download it again due to some error. And I have confirmed this across multiple devices about this download error.

I don't use it much but it sits in the background uploading any photos I take to my Google drive which is great if I lose my phone. It's completely compatible with their Photos app.

Very useful for moving data and apps between devices. It also is a place to put things where they will remain if your device is lost, stolen or destroyed. Not every type of data belongs on the cloud but it is convenient for data that can be put on the cloud.

I use Google drive instead of carrying around a flash drive or having to email docs to myself. Also, I can easily access my docs on any device. This is so convenient and has been a life saver.

I love it... now i would give it 5 stars if i was able to make a Playlist for the music i have on there.. and also if i can get a notification when new files are added to the drive from other people I'm sharing with

I have always used Google Maps to prepare for those occasional difficult destination. Now I don't have to print instructions. I found this app to be invaluable. Just listen to the directions and go. Also like that it provides alternate routes when the usual route is blocked up by construction. Took me right to my destination.

Great app, good functionality. One thing I would like to see is grid/list layout and sort options specific to one folder. In my photos folder I'd like them to be sorted by date, and in a document folder I'd like them sorted alphabetically​

In theory it's great, but I use it to save/ share photos and it would loading the photos after about 10 views every time I use it. Not very useful for photos when I can't see what they are...

Thank u google drive. By mistake i formatted my sd card and i lost all my old pictors and old memories with my family but due to google drive i got some of the pictures that i stred in it. Thank you very much

I hate how I can upload 2 files with the same filename I to the same folder. This is odd behaviour and should work more like desktop where this wouldn't be allowed due to name clash (or at least loudly warn the user)

There is no way to see how many files in a folder. Rarely, but some files get corrupted. Lack of minimum functionality, seems like Google chooses the Apple way. Good luck, I'm setting up Seafile on VPS

Can't open photos that are 2 years old. Accessing files that are older than others shouldn't be an issue. Clicking on those pictures only brings up black loading image with the grey image icon. I can still see thumbnails. Please have this fixed.

I hate it. I need it immediately but it's not working on my phone! I'm having a data connection but it tells me that I'm not connected, so it's not syncing.

The best there is in the world. I use both android and an ios device and it helps me move my important files from one phone to another as i constantly change my phone. Simply put i can't live withput it thankyou Google from the bottom of my heart. Is there an option to buy storage permanently rather than subscription I'd love to buy storage for my needs like 1gb 2 dollars etc..

free cloud space, in the future this cyber estate will resell for fatty stacks of bit coins. So claim all the cloud space u can. It's not like were killing mad amounts of natives for it >:)

I use it! It's a safe app. I like it! Keeps all my VIP stuff and more, organized, very secure all in one place plus SAFE in the Helm, so to speak. I can get to it easy with one tap! Very pretty nice colorful app!

Updated the app. Now it crashes as soon as I open it. Nice work goofle (not o typo). Like most of the apps. Instead of getting better they get bigger but worse. Thanks for nothing...

It's my own fault for updating an app when I'm well aware that most updates do more harm than good. This latest drive update crashes every time I open it. Probably not the same situation for most users but I'm not pleased.

It is Good app but why you create many apps for same thing if your office comes in drive than why separate app icon show. Sometimes you disturb so take a rest

I don't lose files anymore! All in one place. I lost or damaged my phone and laptop over the past few years and GD has saved me!!

It wouldn't even let me open it after I updated it. It keeps crashing. Please fix this as I need it for work

To tell the truth I don't use it much because I just don't store many things. If I did, I would have to rate it high. Who knows, things change. I might have to store things one day. Wish I could store disabled apps in it. It would have to get 6 stars then.
