GoodSAM Alerter for Android
Idea is good but keeps throwing me out for to many wrong logins when I haven't even put any details in great in an emergency NOT! Won't do a simulation just a spinning disc
Good idea but app is very poor. Tried to simulate an emergency and just got a spinning circle with no info on what was happening. Eventually gave up and closed the app, now it has locked my account. Plus whatever data is driving the addresses in this app is well out of date. New build house, three years old and not coming up when the pin is right on top of it. Seems like a big drawback to me. Certainly won't be wasting my time reaching for this in an emergency.
Excellent app, worth having in your toolkit of apps.
Brilliant idea..spread the word.
Exactly how technology can help with saving lives. Would be good to see Android Wear support too.
Saw this on BBC London news. As a police officer and ex paramedic I thought it would be great. However after uploading my details it just continually crashes when opening. Very disappointing.
Can not type in my mobile number
Such a good idea
Downloaded the app to both my IPhone and computer and set up a simulation alert. Worked perfectly. Sadly my First Aid certificate has lapsed as I'd register as a responder too. More importantly, this launch has made me realise that I now need to do something to update my certificate asap! Excellent idea. Praise to all who participated in the app's inception and its implementation.

There was a special on GMA today about this app. A woman's baby had stopped breathing and a clerk had this app installed in their phone. A mechanic was 2 blocks away, knew CPR, ran over and saved the baby before paramedics arrived.
It looks like a fantastic app. Just wondered is the application also sends your location to the NHS ambulance control centre as well as the responder? (if there is one available). It would be useful if it did?
This is a fantastic idea however it relys on members of the public having the alerter app and using the app to notify goodsam of a medical emergency. In reality however the public will call 999 and no one will be any the wiser. What needs to happen to make this a truely remarkable app is for goodsam to tie in with ambulance control and community first responder dispatchers that way when a member of the public reports a medical emergency the control room can alert goodsam who can notify closest responders.
This app could save your life, or the life of someone you care about. The more people that download this, the more lives that could be saved. It really is that simple.
Brilliant a true lifesaving tool ..........well done to all involved
After running simulation then cancelling the call, the app got stuck perpetually opening instances of itself.
Should not have AED information as toast notifications - you need it to be permanently displayed when clicked on.
Un tested but more should use to try out.
My location is very specific but 5 houses away with no way to edit before calling for help. This will frustrate responders. Note4 so no slouch. No pin on alerted app
Untested but seems to be an excellent idea.
But a great idea
I saw the article in the London Evening Standard. To get more users perhaps this app could be promoted by one of the mobile networks.
Excellent app
Excellent
I understand why an alert alarm my sound if I am the person needing urgent assistance, but the current alarm sound that always plays is unnecessary and is alarming to the casualty and bystanders.
Have spent the last half hour going round the system of this app. It keeps telling me to register, I register, then it tells me I can't continue until I register! Very frustrating when trying to do the right thing.
Great idea but for some reason the app icon after update is tiny!
Brilliant idea, everyone should have this app!
The idea is an excellent one but since the update today the home screen icon has shrunk to a quarter the size it should be.. :-/
In the latest update the icon (in the app list) is like 60% smaller than it should be.
What a fantastic idea . Hopefully you never have to use it but only once is enough . Everyone should have it . It's free . Get it now !
I like to register to this App, but before I do, I would appreciate if anyone can tell me if this App is suitable for a Deaf person to use, does it involves making phone calls? Thanks.
Why has it taken so long for this simple brilliant idea to arrive anything to help save lives is worth having will recommend to everyone I know
This must be one of the most Humanitarian apps I've ever encountered. Thank you ^ a billion!
This means I can be called to save lives if I'm nearby!

Fantastic idea. Congratulations to all concerned. "Is there a doctor in the house?" One small but important point, the app is called Goodsam but in my apps it's listed under Alerter which meant that at first I couldn't find it (I see a previous reviewer said this too) Also it didn't come up immediately in google play store when I typed in goodsam, never mind good Sam as two words. I want as many people as possible to be able to find it easily and install it!

I hope I never have you use this but if I am confronted with an emergency I will be able to summon help and say where I am.

Used the app for first time for 3mins, attempt to select a profile photo = error, now can't use app due to error "too many logins". Great idea but bad implementation.
