João Rodrigues

O deputado federal reeleito João Rodrigues (PSD) nasceu em Nonoai (RS), mas suas raízes estão em Santa Catarina. Foi onde iniciou sua carreira como radialista, de 1988 a 2000 trabalhou na Rádio Centro-Oeste de Pinhalzinho (SC). Neste período também trabalhou como apresentador de programa de televisão no SBT de Chapecó, e em 1997 entrou na política ao ser vice-prefeito de Pinhalzinho. Desde então, João Rodrigues não parou. Nas eleições de 2000, foi eleito prefeito de Pinhalzinho com 4.045 votos (53% dos votos válidos). Em reconhecimento à sua gestão na prefeitura, recebeu o Prêmio Mário Covas do Sebrae Nacional, como destaque na categoria “Prefeito empreendedor”.

Em 2002, João Rodrigues foi eleito o terceiro deputado estadual mais votado, com 48.549 votos. Em 2004, foi eleito prefeito de Chapecó, com 43.829 votos (43,8% dos votos válidos). Foi reeleito em 2008, com 59.386 votos (59% dos votos válidos). Em 2011 iniciou o seu sexto mandato eletivo após uma votação recorde para deputado federal. Rodrigues foi o quarto deputado mais votado em Santa Catarina, com 134.558 votos. Em 2014, foi o segundo deputado federal mais votado em Santa Catarina com 221.409 e o segundo mais votado do PSD no Brasil.

Em 2011, João Rodrigues aceitou convite do governador Raimundo Colombo e assumiu como secretário de Estado da Agricultura e da Pesca. Em sua gestão, João Rodrigues buscou manter o destaque de Santa Catarina no setor agropecuário e pesqueiro. Em meio tantos compromissos, é na família que João Rodrigues encontra seu refúgio. O deputado é casado com Fabiana Matte Rodrigues e pai de duas filhas: Caroline e Maria Paula. É graças ao apoio da família e dos amigos que segue forte na busca de seu ideal.

Rodrigues was the fourth most voted congressman in Santa Catarina, with 134,558 votes. In 2014, it was the second most voted congressman in Santa Catarina with 221,409 and the second most voted PSD in Brazil.

In 2011, João Rodrigues accepted an invitation from the governor Raimundo Colombo and took over as Secretary of State for Agriculture and Fisheries. During his tenure, John Rodrigues sought to maintain the highlight of Santa Catarina in the agricultural sector and fishing. Amid so many commitments, it is in the family that João Rodrigues is his refuge. The deputy is married with Fabiana Rodrigues Matte and father of two daughters, Caroline and Maria Paula.
