About Domino Tally
This app allows for easy score taking in domino games. Upon launching the app, you can either create a new game or load a previous game. The app will automatically save the information corresponding to a game, so you don't have to worry about losing your data.
The main feature of the app is the game scoreboard, which keeps track of the progress of a domino match. The score after each round of dominoes can updated by using the camera on the device to detect the value of the remaining dominoes. The score can also be input manually into the app using the keyboard.
To update the score using the camera, select the middle icon on the menu at the bottom of the app, select the team that scored and hold the camera parallel to the dominoes and take a picture. If playing in a dark room, enable the flash within the app. If the background of the table is not a solid color, it may interfere with the image processing. In this scenario, results can be improved by placing the dominoes together in a rectangular grid and bringing the camera closer to the table. The app is designed to work for white dominoes with black dots.
The image processing necessary for counting dominoes using the phone's camera uses OpenCV. The app will ask you to download OpenCV manager from the Play Store the first time you try to input a score from an image. OpenCV manager will make sure that the correct image processing libraries are downloaded for your particular device.
Feel free to email me any suggestions for improving the app!

This is a great app for scoring domino games. I find it better than the pip counting app for keeping domino scores. Make sure you have good, even lighting to guarantee accuracy in dot counting. I only wish there was a way to edit saved results and the leaderboard. (I stored two fake "practice" games while trying it out, and they are still there even after deleting them under "Load Game". Other than that, it's perfect. You can enter points manually, which comes really handy when entering "bonus" points.
