Learn Norwegian! - "Norwegian 50 languages" (www.50languages.com) contains 100 lessons that provide you with a basic vocabulary. This free app has 30 lessons. With no prior knowledge, you will learn to fluently speak short sentences in real-world situations in no time.
The 50languages method successfully combines audio and text for effective language learning.
50languages corresponds to the Common European Framework levels A1 and A2 and is therefore suitable for all types of schools and students. The audio files can also be effectively used as a supplement in language schools and language courses. Adults who have learned a language in school can refresh their knowledge using 50languages.

I've been learning for a year now and downloaded this app to help with vocabulary and I found it wasn't always accurate. In one of the games they said that the plural of books was boks, when it's bøker. Deleted it right away

While the 'free' aspect is a trifle misleading (due to some of the lessons being pay-only), this is overall a fantastic app. It's perfect for people who don't have the time or money to join a language course, or who can't sit down with their computer and work from there. With any luck, you'll be able to say "Jeg snakker norsk." with some degree of confidence that you dodn't just utter horrible profanities at your listener.

I've studied German, Italian and Spanish, using different methods. This app, using the written AND the spoken forms, is tremendous! I only wish there was a way to slow some of the syllables down so I can really imitate the speaker's pronunciation. Nevertheless, by the time I get to Norway, I'm confident I'll be conversant.

Love the way this app works. Checking pronunciation is easy and the lessons are well thought out. Like Rosetta stone but free!

I questioned quite a few norwegian to english translation. To be sure, i checked with real norwegians and sure enough, some of the translations are way off. I am deleting this app. It's not good when i am the one learning and even i can recognize the app is wrong.
