NASB Read it/Hear it GoBible for Android
I love the NASB and the high quality reading that comes with this product. But, for the price it should be pretty flawless since other Bible apps are free or far less expensive. The audio is excellent and the text is inspired. The problem is the software interface. The software does not highlight the sentences being read and flow along moving with the reading -- the reader needs to do it. You need to scroll along with your finger as the audio goes along. Also, the software doesn't automatically reopen where you left off. You need to bookmark on your own. I describe it as the text and audio parallel play together but were not really integrated well together. I agree with the previous reviewer that the font on the selections are small even with my 5 inch screen. But, with a little practice I managed to get the hang of it without making wrong attempts. There are limited options, but this is not unexpected for an Android app. I have not had problems with crashing. I am still pleased I made the purchase. I wanted the NASB translation with professional audio. So, despite the software weaknesses I use the product. Hopefully, Lockman will improve it moving forward.
For the most part I echo Peter O's comments... The non-inspired Topic headings are often tacked onto the previous paragraph. For example In Exodus 9 the Title The Plague of Boils is run on to the end of verse 7, rather than Placed alone between verse 7 & 8.
And I would really like to see it improved upon. My advice would be to save your money and use youversion. The app is very buggy and not user friendly. It has crashed a few times on start-up. A couple of times the app was unresponsive and needed a forced shut down. Very limited options. How about adding a night reading mode (white font on black background), and at least a couple of different font selections. Or, screen rotation and full screen mode (I don't need the facebook, font size, search field, etc on screen at all times). The book and chapter selection is very difficult. The fonts are so small in the ToC, that I often found myself selecting the line below or above, even on a 4.5" screen. (The developers must have very pointy fingers). Bookmarking... the instructions are not very clear how to do this. When I figured it out, it crashed every time I tried to create, edit or delete one. The user needs to select the text on the screen, and go into the "copy" (?) option to create a bookmark. Why not add a menu option for this function? I hope that the updates will be worth it. **This review is regarding the app only. Not Dale McConachie's audio version (which I like).

I had to replace the iPhone version I had. When I replaced my iPhone for my android, I missed the GoBible more than anything. I have listened to through the Bible in a year everyday for the last three years. I just love the routine and listen when I drive every day. Thank you and God Bless you
