Kirkland Signature Navigator for Android
I hate my Hearing aids and this app may be why.
If there was a way to do negative stars, I would. The app does nothing, literally. In order for the app to work, you have to purchase a $250 Bluetooth device for it to work. Then, the app does nothing more than the Bluetooth device. The app will let you raise/lower volume and change between 3 preset programs. All easily done with a click of a button on the Bluetooth device. A waste of memory space on my phone.
I have had no trouble with the app as others mention. Like every one else, only frustration is that I have to have the Phone Clip. I will not get an iPhone. Resound Support says they have given the info to Google but it is up to Google to develop the app?
Choice a better ap, more features and more stable than Navigator. Plus Navigator induces a lot of noise and static into my hearing aids. I will be getting rid of this one. GS5.
Useless
Needs a special adapter to use with note 3.
Like all others that have complained, I too join the list. The Re-Sound Smart app works with the I-phone on the Kirkland hearing aids, no phone clip needed. I was overjoyed when I saw the Re-sound Smart app recently applicable to my android, and showed it to my Costco Hearing Aid guy today," Oh no" he says, Kirkland wants you to use their app. Oh really, he did not mention a thing about buying a phone clip. This it totally wrong, I think the guys at Consumer Reports would be interested in this scenario. Just tried the e-mail below and it does not work, wonder why!
A 5 year old child could design a better application. This app does nothing. Shame on you for launching an application like this.
Won't work without spending more money yet hearing department raves about how easy it is to use?
Doesn't do what's promised, loses sync, terrible phone clip required. Any first year programmer could do better.
Will not work without purchasing phone clip. Not happy with app.
Save your money
This app allows me to select volume levels just as the Phone Clip+ does but is slightly better than Phone Clip+ because I can go directly to a program rather than have to progress from program 1 through 4. I don't like the small additional battery drain on my phone and aids due to bluetooth LE connectivity. I like the streaming audio directly into the aids but the connection seems rather "lossy" even when I'm not moving around and in an environment without any type of radio interference. I like the Android Lollipop Trusted Device feature which keeps my phone unlocked if my aids are within bluetooth range. That's Android, not Navigator. I covet the much better iPhone features for controlling my listening environment that are absent from this app but find Navigator acceptable for a year or so until I upgrade my phone. At that point I'll have better features and won't have an expensive necklace Clip+. Maybe they'll significantly update Navigator by then?
So it's great that this app was created for half the population of smart phone users... How long until us Android users get functionality for our hearing aids? Correct me if I'm wrong but we did pay the same amount as Apple users, right? In the meantime i guess i can use the expensive phone clip i bought a couple years back... Oh wait, i can't because i need to now buy the phone clip 'plus' for another $250. Really Resound? Impatiently awaiting firmware and software updates...
Not fair that Apple users don't have to purchase the accessory to access the features of this app.
Needs additional hardware to function that is not required with Apple devices.
Too bad this app can't work directly with the Kirkland Signature 6.0 aids like the iPhone app does. The 6.0 aids no longer come with a remote (like the 5.0 version did), so there's no way to control overall and right/left volume of the aids.
