About Edge Feed - Media Controller
Add basic media playback controls to your Samsung Galaxy S6/S7 edge/plus information stream, so you can see the information of the track you are currently playing (title - artist) and do actions like play / pause, play next, play previous track on the edge screen.
To add the feed (Lollipop):
Go to Settings > Edge Screen > Information Stream > Manage Feeds and add the Media Feed.
To add the feed (Marshmallow):
Go to Settings > Edge Screen > Edge Feeds and add tick the Media Feed. (The one that says "Over the horizon - Samsung"
Also, make sure to open your favorite music player first.
To see album cover:
Go to Settings > Lock screen and security > Other security settings > Notification access and grant access to MediaControllerFeed.
Note: This is required ONLY to extract the album cover from the media player notification NO OTHER information is used.
If you don't want to grant this permission, then some players won't work.
Fully fully supported players ( album cover + track info + media controls):

- Spotify ( You need to enable "device broadcast status" on spotify settings )

Kinda supported players (only media controls for now, unless you grant notification access)
- VLC player (track info on briefing feed)
- Musixmatch (You need to disable the custom lock screen in order for the feeds to show)

- Soundcloud

Due to the vast amount of media players out there app will only support most "popular" players.
However if you know that your favorite player broadcasts information and you don't see it, send me a mail
and we will try to make it work.

I was given an app code to test this app out for Pandora streaming radio. I have to say it works, but needs a few tweeks to show current playing song. I am very impressed with this app.

to making this Media controller the absolute best that it can be. I lost the album art part of the app on my Edge screen bit of my device, I have Deezer +. I emailed him on a Wednesday morning and within an hour he had got back to me with a promise of a fix by the end of that week. By the end of that day, he'd put a fix on Play Store and I had my album art back..Amazing! Goodness only knows why Samsung aren't paying this guy to develop for them!
