Does what is says! Note if an app crashes after removing certain permissions it means that app is poorly coded / has poor error checking. It is not the fault of Permission Master. Still some troublesome apps can eventually work if you remove fewer permissions. Great tool and responsive developer, 5 stars! Nice updates constantly improve this app too. This app is well worth the purchase! Using it on Marshmallow to remove app network permissions usually. GREAT UPDATE! Now works on Nougat too!

Wonderful for eliminating unnecessary permissions from every downloadable app and the clever thing about it is when any one set or just a single permission is selected to be removed, this app decompiles the desired APK, removes the selected permission(s) then recompiles the app and reinstalls the newly modified app from within the Advanced Permission app itself. Then locally stores the original app itself allowing you to revert back (pro version which I gladly bought) if needed! Great job!

Thank you. This has allowed me to block Facebook Messenger from using my camera after that terrible update to introduce "My day". Like most apps, read the instructions, and 'allow installation of non-market apps' to make this app work. Pay for the Pro version to support this wonderful app.

I was going to get the apk editor but this is more than sufficient for me. For those who don't know, apps are reinstalled from your own device. Turn off wifi and data and try it yourself.

Awesome tht face book every time I put on sd card it out it back on my phone. This is awesome and I can even take away there permision to uninstall ather apps

The permissions are set, not just by the developers, but also by Google. It depends on the type of phone, carrier, region, software, etc. Some permissions, may seem totally unrelated to an app, yet if disabled, it will crash the entire app. Yet, other apps allow you to uninstall a function you thought HAD to be on, but when you remove it, the app doesn't even stutter for a second. You will find, few apps will allow restrictions, BUT is it worth it?

The firewall you use when you're not using a firewall... Does exactly what it says (but unfortunately most apps don't like it up 'em of course..) Also can give your virus scanner a conniption fit!

Does not work on my device would have loved to be able to stop some of these programs and permissions but it simply does not work for me ..how do I get a refund

Lists app permissions in detail and allows you to choose which ones to shut down. And considering how relatively few phones will actually get Android 6 or Marshmallow, you'll need this app. Plus, system apps won't allow you to modify them.

Sometimes apps won't function when you mess with permissions but some will. Clever app.

If you have already upgraded/going to upgrade to android 6(marshmallow), it is not necessary to purchase this app. Permission control is a built-in feature now!!!! Isn't it Great?!

Highly recommend however will not work for all apps (some break down without all permissions such as Skype).

In response to people saying you don't need this past Marshmallow 6.0, you're wrong Marshmallow only allows you to disable the most basic permissions, permissions hidden in (other) category can't be disabled through Marshmallows Apps Ops. You can't even disable one of the most important permissions of them all (wireless data) with Marshmallows permission manager, why does your flashlight app need network permissions anyhow? The only reason Google disallowed disabling wireless data permission is for ads.

Hangs sometimes and doesn't reformat the app. Needs work. BlackBerry Priv.

NO permissions removed from any app as the "re-install" is 100% non-functional. Cannot install modified apps AT ALL. Yes, "install from unknown sources" is enabled. Disappointed.

Used to be brilliant but is now broken. Sony z3, Android 5.1.1

Finally an app that gives us the choice which permissions are allowed our not. The only issue is (not the apps fault) it's some apps need those permission lol well then it your choice.

How to restore permissions? Why it can't change Chrome etc?

Absolute necessity which works very well on both Lollipop phone and tablet. Upgrade is well worth the minimal cost. Thank you very much to the developer!

People, you need to enable installation from unknown sources! This can't work otherwise! Also, be smart about permissions deleted. Delete the wrong one, app won't work! Get a better IQ.

Only reason it loses a star is that you have to reinstall an app outside the manager if you want any permission that was previously removed added back and then reinstall again to remove other permissions that were readded when standard app was installed. Also, antivirus defines any apps with modified permissions as a virus.

I hoped to be able to cut permission of manufacturer's apps installed on my phone neither pro version won't grant u that.alot of apps after remodeling won't work anymore. Sistem protection will see them like riskaware. Also u will be unable to recover your previous apps state u must reinstall again

This app operates by choosing an app, deselecting the permissions you'd like to limit, and then uninstalling the app and reinstalling it with the new, lesser permissions. The app does indeed uninstall the app, but cannot reinstall it. "Install" does nothing, so "Cancel" is the only option. I'd like my money back.

Finally found an app that is easy to use and allows me to set the permissions for all apps that I install on my phone. Amazing to see all the permissions that apps ask for that are not needed to run the application! Not right but they get away with it. Android needs to emulate BlackBerry OS. You can select what permission you want the app to have before you install it. But at least this app exists so that you can remove the permissions that you want to revoke!

After searching the app store for a solution to fixing app permissions for non rooted devices I FINALLY came across one that works on my Z3 Compact.

I love this app so bad it should be illegal. It doesn't work with all app's all the time but I wouldn't expect it to. Great app I use it every day.

I got no root kit kat 4.4 point to end this app does not let me uninstall anything hey or change any of the stuff that's in here which I want all this AT&T stuff gone this doesn't do what it says it does work well if you have root so I can rewrite so you can stop stuff from starting at startup I got it on one its root 4.2

100% strike rate on all apps. Don't be unrealistic about which permissions to delete otherwise app cannot function. If you don't know what you are doing leave your phone as is and suffer ! Great job..
