StayAwake

Great app on my Galaxy S2, but doesn't work on my Nexus 7. I set it to stay awake only when charging. It then switches the Nexus sleep settings to minimum and then switches off. Please fix as it would make a big difference to me, not least as the Nexus 7 does not allow the screen to stay awake longer than 30 minutes.

For some reason my "Stay Awake" option in the Developers menu is grayed out so I turned to this. Despite being plugged in, and regardless of what box is checked, the screen goes black just as if this wasn't running. This is on a FRESH factory reset following a new 2.2 push. No third party apps. As clean as it gets, and still no functionality on my Nexus

You will definately need this on a samsung galaxy s2 and watching justin tv as the stay awake built in to your phones option in developer tools still turns off the phone once its fully charged also the screen dimmer on the phone is max 10 minutes with this app you can make it infinite. its a nice clean app no adds no resource drain and doesnt take over your browser well done runks :-) ♡♥♡♥♡♥

Perfect! My phone didn't come with this option for some reason... this app is what I needed. It stays awake while charging so I can use maps as I drive. And I can manualy turn off the screen when ever I want.

Great little program that does what every android phone should have the option of doing. My only complaint is it won't stay awake when in the lock screen (on Galaxy s3).

I was using the Spotify app and it kept shutting off within 5 seconds does not stay awake . It worked fine on my s3 before the 4.3 upgrade

I have this app on my phone (GingerBread) and I do really like it!! It will definately stay on my phone!! BUT (theres always a but ;p) it doesn't seem to work correctly on my Nexus 7, I think it removes the sleep time entry to stop the screen turning off (good), but sometimes randomly it does not replace that value when you disconnect the charger (bad), which ultimately had the effect of leaving the screen on all night and draining the battery.....

Lg Optimus M would go black when i made a call. I'd dial a number I didnt mean to and it would remain black giving me no option to end call. Great app

Does the opposite to what it's supposed to. It turns screen off even when you're still touching the screen.

It has a problem on my galaxy tab it does the opposite. Every time I turn it on it force's my tab to sleep instantly

Worked great with Captivate. Shuts S3 screen down in 2 seconds or less. 1 star is wrong, 'poor' indicates it kinda works, it doesn't.

i have a galaxy s3 running ics stock that didn't have the stay awake feature and this app seems to be providing that feature. haven't found any bugs yet!

There are many stay awake apps. This one TURNS OFF the stay awake mode when the device is unplugged. This is key to NOT running the battery down when charging power stopped unexpectedly.

As soon as I installed this app, my device dims after 3 seconds. Does not "Stay Awake".

Stay awake if plugged function doesn't work with Jelly Bean. Keeps going asleep. The stay awake always works fine.

On lollipop, does the exact opposite of what it says on the box. Made me laugh at least.

So very simple. Maybe a plugin option could be to stay awake while on a phone call?

I was excited to find a work around for Lollipop's horrible design that disables the built in button under Developer options but after installing it does nothing but take up space. A disappointment.

Not too long ago the app began forcing sleep mode after 2 seconds when plugged in. Samsung tab 3 8.0

On probably too many economically-priced ZTE Android devices like mine, *no display settings that enable users to ensure that their dialing-pad and keyboard virtual displays and their monitors stay brightly-illuminated for at least sixty seconds and stay on for at least an hour, if not until the next forced-plugin-closure, shut-off, or reboot, 'indigenously' exist.* This plugin evidently appears to solve this problem. Consequently, the advice that applies here is: IF YOU'VE ROOTED YOUR DEVICE PLEASE MAKE..

Maybe the app should be updated. It turns out screen off when it's supposed to keep it on. Lame.

It is supposed to keep ur screen awake and it turns my screen off in 2 seconds

Its not working with galaxy grand 4.2.2 . If i enabled it its turning off after 2 seconds . On other phones its working fine

Upgraded my android software, this app now switches my screen timeout to zero. Will not work.

Great on my LG G3 and love the simplicity of this app. Which all things in life were that simple.

It does the opposite on my phone. Im assuming it's a bug so fix it and I'll change my review

Doesn't keep awake in apps, and makes my screen turn off faster!

S3 - makes the screen time out immediately instead of never, which is not helpful.

Installed it because option to stay awake was for some reason no longer available under developer options on my Xperia. Was hoping this would work - but it does not.

It has a very small amount of space it takes up and does exactly what it says it does.

There's almost something joyous about how distinctly and utterly this app fails at its one and only intended function. Simply put, when you tell it to keep your phone awake it actually makes the screen turn off even faster than before. Samsung Note 2

Won't keep my SGSIII with Android 4.4.4 awake while charging.

Just like someone else also pointed out, this doesn't work at all on nexus 7.it actually does the exact opposite: now my screen turns off after 15 seconds even that I have 2 mins in the settings.

This app hasn't worked since a recent Android update. Now the screen now turns off after 10 seconds or less when set to 'stay awake if plugged'. It's more annoying than ever!

When needed for temp security time override.

I've got the latest firmware on a galaxy avant, no luck. Instead of keeping the screen awake, it will actually cause it to sleep within 3 seconds of non-activity, worse than the default by far. Fix the bug and I will change my review.
