This does work on other HTC devices running sense 4+
This app with allow you to toggle HTC SmartSync. SmartSync disables WiFi and 3g when the phone is idle. If you disable SmartSync WiFi will stay enabled.

Another great option. Works well where the stock Rom fails to give you this great feature. You must be rooted of course. Thanks dev.
