Glympse Express

The one thing I hate most is receiving that text "where are you @?" while I'm driving. Ugh, irritating to the ???? of the highest mountain ⛰! With this, I can share my location real time without anyone having to install anything or not being compatible with a device. I love this because I can use this with people who I trust and randoms off Craigslist! The viewer information is awesome as well.

Installed this because the main glimpse application needs a ridiculous number of invasive privileges. Adopt the new privilege modem of android 7...

Doesn't work. Most of the time it's unable to determine the correct location of the device, and since that's the whole point of the app it will have to be one star I'm afraid.

Very usefull app.The expire time has to be increased from 8 to 12 hours and why there's no update for a long time to such a nice app. Need to make it more perfect

My girlfriend rented a car that broke down in the ghetto of an unfamiliar city. The wrecker came and couldnt take her to her destination so he left her alone in the ghetto ALL NIGHT! She is still there now. Customer service didn't answer during the last hour of their operating hours and didn't get routed elsewhere after hours. I am 600 miles away and unable to assist. If this isn't resolved immediately then I'll be traveling myself to get her and send this on to the news editor.

How come I cant add Telegram as a way to send a message? And why does Lastpass show up as a message app?

Buggy. Frequently gets stuck with no way to reset

Just what one could need. A compact solution too end all the "where are you going?" And "Where did you reach?" :-)

Im a trucker and this is way better than trying to take a picture of my gps and text it to my boss

For those of you who have never tried this app, you need to give it a shot try this one before you try the other one if you like it which I'm almost positive you will especially if you know somebody who wants to know travel time and is persistent about knowing where you're at in your travels. If you were a worried parent this app is essential ! If you know other worried concerned or just parents who want to ensure or check whether child is located then this is the app for them, data must be on to work.

This would be just perfect if it supported sharing to a Telegram contact. For most situations the UI would be all I need but I have to stick using the cumbersome full Glympse app as it supports Telegram which most of my friends use.

A very simple to use, no nonsense app. Enables me to send a link as a made to contacts and they can track me in any browser. Plus no need for them to have this app to track me. Serves the purpose very well. 5* rating from me :)

Only supports LIMITED ways to share location. Supports WhatsApp but no Telegram? Also CANNOT add other services / apps to share location to. Idea was good, implementation was BAD

Not map :( but more easy for fast share. Maybe in the future a little map visor for Glympse links?

Glympse seriously rocks and Glympse Express improves on it in a big way. It narrows down the share options to the ones used most frequently and makes sharing a whole lot speedier. I appreciate the 4-hour time limit and the fact that it auto expires but I would love to see an option that allowed for a timeframe longer than 4 hours. My bank and servers and all sorts of sessions have an auto-logoff warning that you need to confirm. Maybe every hour a prompt to keep the Glympse open and going? But, yeah, one of my most-used and favorite apps for sure.

The Express version is all I need, or want. Would be nice if it could communicate your location to non-smartphones somehow (texts?) and if the destination could be marked on the web-based map that recipients use to view your progress. I would also like the option to set a period longer than 4 hours. Really very well done though. Oh, a more intuitive function for canceling a Glympse would be nice.

It's such a useful and simple app. Compared to the full version, this one is really intuitive and does exactly what I need. Well done devs!

Has become such a part of my travelling life that "Glympse" has become a verb amongst family and friends. I use both full version and this 'express' version. So there.

Isn't there an option for A-GPS for people living in urban areas where there's enough Wi-Fi around? Can save lot of battery on GPS.

Love this app. I use it every time I go to meet with someone, provided I am plugged into a charger. Does everything it says easily and quickly, and have had no trouble with reliability.

Please add Marshmallow quick sharing so I can directly pick my most used Telegram and WhatsApp contacts

Still no telegram messenger easy sharing support.

Worked well at first but now won't show the live map in the app. Have to open browser to see the map.

I've been waiting what seems like forever for simple, easy to navigate sending of Glympses to friends. This app was just the ticket for stand alone location sharing. Love the fact that you don't need the full version of glympse installed to work. Please terminate this apps background processes when not in use for several days!

Pros: straightforward and intuitive UI. Does the job. BIG CONS: it keeps my gps open for long time, and drain my battery.

This app is great, but can you add telegram to the target share apps?

Stops sharing location after a while although the icon is still in the status bar. Gps icon disappears and you are done

Finally, feature I loved in other apps (like MyTaxi) as standalone app, requiring minimum permissions! Use case: I can share location *for limited time, that automatically expires*, so someone can e.g. track when I arrive, or find each other during day trip. I really like minimum permissions this app requires on my phone and that receiver does not have to install anything and can track directly from browser (on desktop and mobile).

Easy to use. I like the shortcut keys to quickly share with preset recipients.

With this app you can easily send Glimpses using all of your messaging apps. You can't view other people's Glympses though - for this you'll need the full app or use your browser. But it's great this way.
