RCCDroid Remote shutter Sony

Dear Makers, Thank you for this amazing app. It works flawless with my new Sony Xperia XA. It works perfectly if you follow instructions given on App's Home Page. It would have been a charm, if you guys can add some features of Pro version :P

Basic wire controlled remotes are a dime a dozen. I already have one of those that is far more versatile than this dirt simple setup. And besides that, whole has the proper USB cable with the tiny ends on both ends of the cable, just laying around, waiting to be used? Not I! So this app is destined for the standard immediate uninstall with the host of the usual list of the many dissapointing free apps that have already met that fate.

Couldn't get it to work at first. Not sure why the developer's can't just write how to get it working here in the description instead of having to go to their website. But I will definitely look into the pro version if it works as an intervalometer

I own A58 and installed this app on Galaxy S5. I can only change the Focus parameters. Tapping on the ISO Aperture Mode etc doesn't do anything. Some help is appreciated.

Superb app. Works in Sony Alpha a68. Easy to setup. The only problem is the pictures that you take, are locate in the device, not in the camera.

System ui stopped working error in Lenovo k4 note ( marshmallow 6.0) when connect sony alpha a58y

me menu only have a usb connection as a storage or pnp and only pnp give some messages about permissions and vendor and product,i describeit bellow.i force stop the galery coz its try to kick in. im conected thru a cable and your app say waiting for permision vendor 1356 product 801 and exiting nothing else.i get permission to open only your ap and make default usb.Later edit:i ask if you suport, nice,mac.wtf do you whant ,5 stars for ask?you recive 3 stars that is a ok apk. if you dont like it i can give 1

Would appreciate more if camera could be fully controled... Viz Aperture, ISO, Shutter speed and Exposure.. Also onscreen touch and focus.. I wish if there could be live view of the EVF on the mobile screen... I have the pro version too...

It is working, but both camera and smartphone/tablet shoudl be connected via cable/OTG, not WiFi or bluetooth. Fast reacting on all feedbacks, different than 5 stars, but to aggressive way.

My Samsung S6 running 5.1.1 Lollipop just sits there 'waiting for permissions...' from my Sony A7 and doesn't do anything.

sony a 58 has not a wriless ,so how can ı use this program ?

Works fine for me, I will even upgrade to full version soon. You loose 2 stars though for the aggressive way you respond to anyone who says anything negative towards your app. Never seen anything like it. Embarrassing.

Very clever implementation of the Sony USB drivers! unfortunately my HTC one does not support 3rd party apps in otg mode :( Any workarounds?

Is there any other way to buy pro version bc I dont have visa or master card to buy it through play store?

Works for me. Just remember to set the camera to single shooting mode, or it won't work. Takes the picture, saves it on the phone...

However, the interface is not user-friendly. Also, Wi-Fi tethering offers live preview, while this app doesn't. Show stopper for me, uninstall.

Not working for alpha 58

Works just fine with my note 4 and Sony A6000 with a 1.5m long cable. Quite easy to set up. Definitely handy to have for bulb mode. Can't change any camera settings (free app) if you can do all that on the paid app then definitely worth having if you don't have a remote.

Works after some fiddling with my sony a99. Bought the pro version for advanced features. Great way to prove it would work with my gear

No worky with a6000. While other compatible apps do work, my a6000 will not talk with this app.

Doesn't work at all. Tried various OTG adapters & cables. Just gives me an error message. Developer not responsive. *UPDATE* Dev says I did not provide screenshots. That's FALSE. Dev asked for code from USB diagnostics app. I sent it a few minutes later and that was the last I heard. Look folks, NOBODY WANTS THIS TO WORK MORE THAN ME. I would pay $20 right this second for this app to work. If my phone is not compatible for some reason I will buy whatever phone works .

Take a look at trigger trap then and now. Why wait as long as they did before getting a user friendly interface.I wouldn't even try to use rccdroid in the field and I certainly wouldn't pay for a sub-beta offering disguised as "Pro".Sorry if the truth hurts. Would your app be any better if I were CEO of trigger trap? No. I gave them the same criticism I'm offering you. The difference is that you don't want to see shortcomings in your app.
