Remote Ripple: Fast VNC Client for Android
✓ Clean and simple user interface, smooth desktop scaling
✓ Fast operation even on slow connections
✓ View-only and full control modes
✓ Ultra low bandwidth use in the PRO version
✓ Perfect mouse emulation via a unique “mouse tool” (try it out!)
✓ Compatibility with all sorts of VNC software, Apple Remote Desktop, UltraVNC, x11vnc etc.
It works via Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G/LTE networks and connects straightly to your remote machines. It does not use intermediate servers and does not route your data to third-party services. While direct connections via Internet may require some configuration, they guarantee best performance and independence from online services.
How it can help you
From time to time, many of us need to access our “big computers” and use some “big software” installed on it. Remote Ripple allows you to do your work remotely. Also, you can:
✓ Monitor what's happening on your computers while you're away (use View-only mode to prevent from interfering with the desktop).
✓ Provide remote support to your friends and family. Assist in installing software, fix problems and demonstrate how to set up things.
✓ Perform remote administration of servers, headless computers, embedded systems, virtual machines and your Raspberry Pi. ;)
✓ Control your home computers while laying in a lounge chair. For example, you can use Remote Ripple as a remote control for your music or video player running on a PC.
✓ Copy a file forgotten on a remote host (while Remote Ripple does not support direct file transfers, it can help in transferring files with other services like Dropbox or Google Drive).
Install Remote Ripple, and find your own use cases!
Getting started
To connect with Remote Ripple, make sure your target computer runs a sort of VNC server.
✓ If the target PC runs Windows, install a VNC server on it. We strongly recommend TightVNC as it provides best performance and compatibility with Remote Ripple. You can download your free copy of TightVNC on its Web site — http://www.tightvnc.com/
✓ Mac OS X systems already have a VNC server included. It's a part of Apple Remote Desktop service. To enable it, go to System Preferences, choose Sharing, enable Remote Management, press Computer Settings, check “VNC viewers may control screen with password” and enter the password you will use when connecting.
✓ Most Linux distributions include a number of VNC servers as well. Just install a VNC server from your package collection, and type something like vncserver or tightvncserver (or whatever command starts that particular VNC server). Typically, it will offer you to enter new VNC password and will start sharing your desktop (or create new virtual desktop for you).
✓ Virtualization systems (such as VMWare and QEMU) often include built-in VNC servers, although they may not be enabled by default.

Great design, very easy to use AND it's free! I would recommend this to anyone who had trouble with other similar apps especially for Android - windows 10
I use this app for both connecting to my main PC as well as the server I have sitting in my basement. This has the best mouse design I've ever seen. There is a dedicated button for left, right, middle, and scroll buttons. It is extremely helpful, expecially if you use TightVNC on your host PC.
Great as a free app. I only wish the mouse function was a little easier to use.
Guess I'm using Remote Desktop from now on.
Fast, responsive and intuitive. Best I've used by far
Fast and easy.
Really suck interface
Works great. best app I've ever had
Light and easy to use with the best mouse tool.
Upgraded to pro - they deserve it!
Verry usefull
Nice Remote App
Best vnc viewer for Android
Good control GUI
Awsm
Slow
Pretty good. I'd pay for a feature allowing the app to remember my setting to "hide mouse tool" rather than have to manually do it every time. Frustrating! Otherwise it's faster than most others and works pretty well. Add that feature to pro and I'm in!
Remote Ripple lets me connect to all my VNC servers with full capabilities, all from a touch screen. The 3-button mouse control handles middle-clicking, hovering, and dragging very well. It doesn't support other protocols (such as RDP) so if you need something else you will need another app.
Great system for local networks, use it to connect to computers having tvnc. Can move around campus tied to my main system monitoring labs having problems. Mouse could be better.
I did love the old version better for specific tasks but this new version is good all around for everything I use it for. #update# the fact that the top of the screen always slides back to the top pisses me off. Now I can't click anything on the left or top without the mouse tool. So stupid. Slowed my productivity when using the app.
When I make my account it said I have to deal with a address name idk what it means also idk if this app involves connecting desktops. I hate it, Sorry
Great application, almost flawless. The only issue I've noticed is that any java runtime environments still active once session is closed, will malfunction on desktop.
Internet connection via wifi, and can 'wake up' computer when it's in screensaver mode. Would love to have a VR version, as 'VR Remote Desktop' doesn't work.
Have yet to have a successful session using this app on Motorola G III edition, Android 6.
Been using tightvnc for years. So I thought I would try ripple. Click on the connection and absolutely nothing happens other than getting an Ad to pay for the Pro version. Uninstall
I can't think of a single thing I'd like changed. RR is far better than the RDP client I was using to access my Linux Raspberry Pi. The mouse feature is very easy to use and unobtrusive when you don't need it. Keep up the good work!
I normally use the RealVNC line of products. I wanted to try something new because their server's java web client is incompatible with modern web browsers, but native apps are very smooth. Unfortunately, TightVNC and RemoteRipple are muuuch slower than RealVNC's products. There is at least 3x greater latency. The mouse tool they brag about is unfortunately chunky, awkward, and takes up too much screen space for my liking. That said, I'm glad they have a generally satisfied userbase.
After accidentally figuring out that mouse is actually simulator of real mouse and you can click and drag, I would give this app all 5 stars. Taking two for lag which becomes worse and worse longer I am connected. After 2 minutes it becomes VERY annoying. That is actually only reason why I did not bought pro version.
***Jan 16, 2016. Not working anymore since updated to android 6.0, please fix soon.*** Been using it for a year now on daily basis. SSH tunnel is a great feature too. Hope they will add private key option down the road.
It can be hard sometimes to find a remote login app for a phone that works. This app does everything that is needed for those times you need to sign in when away from a pc.
Great remote for my PC. However it crashes a lot. Can be easily restarted so no big deal. Just not a 5 ;)
When I make my account it said I have to deal with a address name idk what it means also idk if this app involves connecting desktops. I hate it, Sorry
I've tried more apps that do the same, but i like this one better.
Works without an issue for my personal use. Easy to set up and to use to connect to my computers at home from my cellphone
This is mostly aimed towards TightVNC Server. I have multiple displays on my host PC and want to specify only one to share using TightVNC server but have yet to figure this out. It shouldn't be this difficult.
Clean, simple, works well. The ability to pan off the home screen is invaluable to clicking things at the edge, like the Close X, etc. I'm disappointed with the new "snaps to screen edge" feature. It's unnecessary for me, and there's no option to turn it off. The ghosted mouse pointer is an elegant and simple solution that I haven't seen in any other app of this type.
Much easier to use than the Logmein mobile interface.
I hate the remote image snaps to screen edges update. There needs to be a way to disable it. I feel like I have less control, and simple tasks take longer.
It does everything that's advertised, as it's advertised. I experience very little latency (a full screen 1080p movie was displaying in real time on my tablet!) A word of advice to TightVNC Server users for Windows - download and install the DFMirage driver from the TightVNC website. It helps reduce the CPU power required by your computer to push updates, as screen updates are detected more easily, and helps with latency. Though this can't fix a slow network, it can help. Thanks for making a great app GlavSoft!

Best in class remote desktopping. Once you get used to the virtual mouse overlay, I'd say it's probably the most natural feeling RDC I've used on a mobile device. But please, change that dreadful icon...
