About WSPRnet Viewer for WSPR

WsprNet Viewer periodically retrieves and displays amateur radio ("ham radio") signal propagation reports (WSPR) from www.wsprnet.org. Tapping on a specific report displays more details about it, along with a world map image identifying the transmitter and receiver locations. From the details screen, share the report, or map the transmitter or receiver location using the Android device's map application.
Get notified when propagation is reported to be good for a particular frequency band.

I really like the idea of this app, when it works I like it, and find this more user friendly than the wspr website. However it crashes frequently and force closes. If it can be made more stable I would give 5 stars. 3 stars is generous given the constant crashes, but the basics are good.

Would love to support the developer, but no replies to feedback!!! This app works great on Android 4.3 but its not working on marshmallow Android 6 with Nexus 9. Keeps crashing when I try to access settings. Also no updates in two years :(

X70%
by X####:

Installed the App twice but it doesn't work properly. When I use any filter, for example my own callsign, it fails to show any spots. Nothing. On a small android screen you can scroll forever to search for a callsign and that makes the App rather useless.

Always crashes when I try to access settings on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 running stock 5.1.1. Info is also several hours late. I thought it was supposed to be live.

Both wspr viewer apps crash on my Sony C4. Pity, we need such tools. 73 de ZS6BNE.

Apologies for the first review. The app is displaying, I simply wasn't patient enough. I love the concept, and I believe this will be one of my daily WSPR tools! Im trying to get completely away from Windows, Apple, Linux for portable amateur radio work. Tools like this help minimise comms and computer gear, while maximising capabilities. I hope you'll develop a WSPR RX spotter app for Android in the future. Thanks and keep up the great work!
