About PV Output
PV Output for Android is a clean and easy app for getting a quick status overview of your PV system.
Why use PV Output?

You will need your System ID and API Key from your pvoutput.org Account Settings (http://pvoutput.org/account.jsp).

App overview:
LIVE view
Shows your live power generation and consumption, energy generation and consumption, efficiency, temperature and voltage.
TODAY view
Gives an overview of generated and consumed power for all available pvoutput data of the current day.
DAILY view
Gives an overview of generated and consumed energy and peak power of the last 50 days.
MONTHLY view
Gives an overview of generated energy for each month in the list. The chart will show all monthdata of last year and availble months for the current year for easy month on month comparison
LIFETIME view
Shows various system values like total energy generated and exported, maximum energy generation etc.
** NEW ** Track consumption data ** NEW **
If you upload power and energy consumption data to pvoutput, it is now possible to view it from the app. Go to the settings page and switch 'Enable power Consumption' on.
To set your API key and System ID:
- access Settings screen by pressing "settings" in the top/right corner menu
- login to PVOutput.org web site and go to Settings” page
- copy your API key (*) in the API Settings section and paste it in API key field
- copyyour System ID in the Registered Systems section and paste it in System ID field
- Use the back button on your phone or in the toolbar
(*) If you prefer, you can also use the Read Only Key (it must be first added in the Settings page of PVOutput.org web site).

The app works really nice. When it doesn't crash... It crashed a lot while loading data. When that happens, I can't do anything in the app. Better error handling in loading data is really needed.

Dont get your solar ID number wrong, the app goes into an error loop and you have to reinstall.

Like it much better than the other pv output prog. One request, can it allow rotation to landscape? Portrait is fine on a phone, but a tablet landscape is much better.

The aesthetics of this app are fantastic. Must cleaner than other options available. Suggestions for improvement would be able to track consumption vs production as this information is already available through pv output. Also if there was a screen for 'live' production vs consumption that would be fantastic for ensuring other householders understand when to use power hungry devices.

This app does exactly what it says on the tin, is modern looking and well laid out. For those complaining about setup being hard, I'm not sure how much simpler the developer could have made it! Could have more features, but it provides the essentials in a simple to use format...and for free...and without ads. Good job Mr Developer!
