This app is great for everyone: starters to pros. However, I just wished that the app had small video/instruction to each workout. There are a lot of standard workouts in the app, but starters might not know every one of them or most of them. So it would be nice if there was an instruction video so I, as a user, wouldn't have to google or use another app to look how to do that exercise. Currently using another app as a supplement, but I would want to just stick to this. Other than this lack of video/instruc

I've tried other apps that claim to be good. All I want is a workout log, I don't care to track my meals or anything additional. I got sick of keeping my journal and packing it all over the gym with me. Very happy to have found this app and I have no complaints. I also like the fact I can enter in new workouts manually. Doesn't take much time to input the data either!

I hate seeing apps on the market with people commenting "best app ever" etc etc but I've got to say, this app has all the features required for lifters and is the best app for lifters. You can track everything from the weight you lift and fat percentage with a log and graph of progress. You can keep a record of your weights lifted and any exercises not on the list can be added. I've tried other apps but with all the ads etc and deficiency in features, they do not match this app. Wish I could write more

Great for tracking all exercises, good set lay out and you can add your own exercises or variants and categories. I wish there were personal bests saved for exercises without weight or distance though. Sometimes you have reps without weight because of the type of exercise. Or sometimes you might have time spent but without a distance. So no pbs saved for these. But that's my only gripe. Love it otherwise

It's exactly what I was looking for. Simple and clean! I won't give 5 stars though, because there's a couple of things missing. There should be fields to keep track also of water and muscle percentage in the body. An option to insert a picture from each exercise would also help, since sometimes it's not easy to remember only from their names. So, just like it's possible to include new exercises, it would be nice the possibility to include a picture of each exercise. I would happily pay for the app then.

This app is elegantly and simply designed. Other apps overload you with videos, ads, share functions, and actually impede your workout as a result. I truly respect the developer for adding useful features with every release rather than bloat, it's been indispensable in helping me attain my fitness goals. Thanks!

Love the App so much! Perhaps you can put up a superset to giant set option? A also a customize alert on screen saying "Equipment in Use" flashing on your screen above the rest timer portion. This is to prevent others from using gym equipment when you go fetch your drink between sets. Thanks

I haven't tried any other fit log apps, but this one is amazing. Everything is easy and intuitive to use. It actually motivates me to work out, and I love see the

Just wanna renew/repost my review. Simply love it. Tracked my progress very well and I'm so happy with my physic results. No ads, no annoying messages and I can always find the function I want. As I get more and more into logging my gym activities, and the app keeps improving, I'm always satisfied. Never think of getting another app.

I'm a Java developer and was about to start work on my own fitness app, because all the others I tried did not fit my needs. I didn't want one with videos or silly complexity or a bunch of 'extra' features that detracted away from the core reason to use a gym log: To record what you do! I no longer have to write my own, since this one is exactly what I was looking for. It's intuitive and doesn't require a bunch of menu selections to start logging your workouts. Handles split sets easily, even backups your logs to your cloud storage of choice, etc. Best app I've tried so far (and I've tried a lot over the years.)

It's very hard to find a negative criticism of this app. It's very easy to input sets, and the custom alarm will help you organize your rest periods. The statistics and history view really help you keep track of progression. I say A+ :)

U70%
by U####:

This lets you track any exercise and unlike other apps you don't have to figure out how the developer wants you to track things first (e.g. create workouts or what not). Just open the app and log what you did, the app will sort the rest out for you into stats and graphs and what not. Extra bonus: Rest timer, exercise notes and spreadsheet export.

Amazing app. Seriously I couldn't see it needing many more features. Perhaps integration with Google calendar and also a few choices of widgets would be amazing but I'm being picky. Maybe you could change colours and fonts and have an area to include all body measurements so you could track that. I use the Fitbit scale. Integration with that too auto update my weight in the app would kick butt. I can't ding the guy a star for this though because it seriously rocks.

BEST. You can share logs, save them, look at estimated 1RMs, viw volume, reps, and sets by month/week/day. It has a timer. It's amazing. I love this app. Flawless. You can even check off sets and move to the next exercise! WHICH WORKS FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO INPUT SETS BEFORE DOING THRM.

I think this is one of the most streamlined apps on my phone. I love it and use it everytime I workout. I do weightlifting and minimal cardio so it's good for those with routines such as mine. I'm not sure how effective it is for people that focus solely on cardio. I recommend it to all of my workout buddies and coworkers (I work at a gym). And I love that it is free. The only issue I've had with it is that after I add a new exercise to my general list of exercises, I cannot delete it if I've made a mistake in the name or accidentally picked time and distance instead of weight and reps or vice versa. Sometimes I've accidentally added duplicate exercises so I'd like to delete. I may just not be able to find that feature and it's actually somewhere in the app, but other than that, this is an amazing friggin app and I'm so glad I accidentally found it. It motivates me to workout out more often because I love scrolling down through all the sets I do in one day and I like looking at the analysis graphs.

U70%

App does what it says but I was disappointed that I could not create my workout in advance and then enter my stats after each set. It is annoying having to stop and log every exercise after each set. Would give five stars if I could prepare everything in advance and then just enter my weight and reps as I completed each exercise in my log. Guess I am sticking with a notebook and pen.

Absolutely fantastic app. I've been able to track my progress easily, thank you. One request though, could you make the 'save' button bigger please? It's difficult to tap in between sets when I'm shaking

R70%
by R####:

Very in depth and detailed, yet extremely easy to use. I find myself finding new features that are both impressive and easy. For example, just found out that it shows what my expected weight vs # of reps max is. Very cool!

R70%

just started using this n i can tell already that i will be using it for a long time. straight to the point app with no ads, just pumps

This app works to track your progress and PRs. It provides a few nice statistics too. Its not perfect but i cant imagine much better. Create your own excel spreadsheet if you want or just use this simple app.

R70%
by R####:

Seriously powerful application. I use this app every training session. You can tweak, add exercises, remove exercises, change groups and adapt the app to suit your style of training whatever it may be. The layout is simplistic and there is no forceful ads. I recommend this app to anybody wanting to track their progress. And if you like it (which you no doubt will) - buy the supporter version.

.....But won't let me add an exercise twice for a given routine. For instance I have a routine with exercises A1, A2, B1, B2. A1 and B1 are the same exercise in the routine but I can't add B1 because I've already added that exercise. Looks like a great app but I'll have to keep looking due to this limiting factor. Too bad.

No fitness log app even approaches the competition. Almost all what you need is there. I keep finding new abilities when I search more in the app. Magnificent app, thanks very much. I didn't get a visa yet but when I do, the support comes first.

Fantastic workout tracker app with a simple, intuitive interface without gimmicks. Can't believe it's free AND ad-free. I no longer need to record my workouts on paper as I go (which was very annoying and time-consuming)

R70%
by R####:

App works nicely.. just a shortfall with 2 matters. 1.) Not all exercises require a weight. Some are body weight exercises. Add the option of selecting "Body Weight" 2.) Add the option of selecting "Time" instead of reps. Like the when doing plank: its body weight and time.

H70%
by H####:

This app is good I like that it's customisable. But can you please, please, please add a way to make note on each exercise? Eg. Felt good no pain etc.. for rehab.

A70%
by A####:

Major points for being ad free and giving us everything we need to stay motivated. The biggest issue I had was learning how to properly use the app. Take your time and learn what each screen does. The app doesnt have the most intuitive interface, but once you figure it out you will be in love with fitnotes!

R70%
by R####:

For a FREE app, it offers a better user experience than paid ones. Don't understand complaints about lack of exercise instructions -- this tool tracks your workout not teach you how.

R70%
by R####:

for those who are picky like me, here's why i decided to stick with fitnotes: 1. white background and LARGE, clear numbers and easy-to-enter reps and sets while working out, since my eyesight is getting bad; 2. copying previous workouts as a template for the current workout is easy; 3. you get to decide the order of your exercises; 4. it just looks great! The only thing I would suggest is to go back to "today" from any page if pressing the back button, instead of exiting.

Z70%
by Z####:

What a great app, easy to use with enough detail and customisation options for everyone. The workout timer has helped me break a plateau. So glad I installed this!

U70%
by U####:

KiSS - Straightforward log for my workout with basic graph functions and data export. Flexible and non prescriptive which is great. No nag-ware. A couple of wish points: 1 ability to make and store workouts off calendar for later use, so one can build a personal programme in the app. 2. Separate graphing of cardio.

A70%
by A####:

This app is great, but it's missing a built-in stopwatch to track total workout time and a stopwatch to track time for things like planks and core exercises. Lastly, I'd like to see an easier way to get to the home screen. Maybe a consistent home button at the top instead of a two step process to get home.

Z70%
by Z####:

Only been using it 15min and already love it more than the last two apps I've been using for 3yrs. Moving all my data here and deleting those. Goodbye useless trackers!

R70%
by R####:

I used to use a note in my phone to keep track of my workouts. That was a pain. This app is so much easier and neater. great job. Love the latest change where we can rearrange the order of sets.

R70%
by R####:

I used this app when I first started working out. Getting back into it and I know this app is the one I want to continue using. I've downloaded several to find one that not only worked for me but also one I enjoyed using. If this was a paid app I'd buy it.

R70%
by R####:

Awesome app, everything you'd really need in arms reach. Only wish for me is that there was input for either kg or pounds, rather than just the one. It's a very minor problem for me so it won't take away the fifth star, just hoping that this will one day be added.

Z70%
by Z####:

If I could only have one app one my phone. Period. It would be FitNotes. So many features such as workout analysis, graphs, etc. I've never been more on top of my workouts.

R70%
by R####:

I have used other apps that are easier to understand. After adding a routine I could not find it and when I accidentally did I could not update it and could never find it agian. The instructions are clear but navigation was a pain for me.

L70%
by L####:

Tried a slew of different apps to record lifts and push myself, nothing comes close to this one. Allows you to listen to music, set rest timers that chime when it's over, and see what you did in the past to push yourself. Phenomenal workout app.

This app is everything I need to track my progress. It can't get any easier than this. I love this app and I want to thank the creator for helping me take my training to another level!
