Simple NetCat for Android
The app asks for messages in host:port format. But my parameters seemed to be in that format and were not accepted.
Did just what I wanted and allowed me to test UDP to my Azure server was working over 4G but blocked by my WiFi network.
UDP port is locked after one message, need to terminate app to close it. ("Listening" status changes to "connected" which does nothing if you hit the "x"). Will only receive one message, at least a way to clear the old message would be nice in case they are similar. You might want to open the digits keyboard by default for the port field and prevent CRs.
I use this app to send commands to my bticino home automation server. It would be great if it can remember previously sent commands / texts and have the ability to send Ctrl-D. Thanks
It does exactly what I want, thanks.
No hyphen allowed in host. Insufficient to manually do http much less SMTP.
Simple and effective, but would be nice if there was an option to save or load files from the sdcard into the stream, for emergency crude file transfer situations.
great !!!
Tks for a great great app for study security ^^
Simple, effective and to the point. Some feature requests/enhancements for received text: *should have an option to scroll as it arrives *should be selectable for copy to clipboard *option to clear current buffer
Tried the app with a sample UDP client Android app I was writing. Works well. Does the app work with IPv6 addresses as well? if yes, Can you explain how I can type the IPV6 address and port number....currently, I am keen on localhost e.g., [::1] Thanks
it uses heavy buffering before showing you any text, for instance, if you connect with your browser, you won't actually see the GET request before the connection has closed :p annoying
Ksom ali hi2raha
A UDP option would be great though...
Awesome app!
This tool is really useful for network programming. Also the developer implements requested features quickly.

Simple netcat implementation that allows for listening and sending. Tested only with IP address, but most hostnames should work.
