Gingerly is the first "location-aware" expense tracking app. It remembers your expense locations. Now scan receipts and file expense reports, straight from your mobile device. If you are on a trip, you can easily generate an expense report and email it right from your phone. Via its innovative location sensing technology, Gingerly remembers the places you visit often & reminds you the next time you are there to enter your latest expense, making expense entering intuitive and easy. Gingerly will soon become your trusted receipt scanner and organizer: you only need to scan your receipts and it organizes them by date and business.

Gingerly expense tracker app's unique features are:
◆ Intuitive entering of expenses: Location-based service detects where you are, all you have to do is enter the amount.
◆ Take a picture of your receipts which are then associated with the physical location of the expense
◆ Generate expense reports (currently PDF only, CSV coming soon) and email them from the app
◆ All your expenses and receipts stored on your device
◆ Proximity notifications when you visit that business again, clicking which you get to see all expenses and receipts you've entered at that location

Just start typing the name of a business, and we'll autocomplete the business name, and tie that expense to the exact location and time when you were there.

◆ Backups: We always backup your expense information and receipts, to save you from accidental deletion of data on your device. We are working on a feature to allow you to restore data back on your phone, in case you lose the data on the phone or change devices.

◆ Best of all, Gingerly is FREE. You only pay if you need to file an expense report.

Is there a way to create expense reports, categorize and email them? Like how expensify does. If there is I haven't figured out how. Other then that its an awesome app.

This is the BEST budget app out there. It allows you to take pics of the reciepts out purchases! :-) No other app does that and this one is free. Everyone on a (B word) budget that is needs this app. The glitches were fixed with additional improvements. Awesome work with this one. Oh did i mention the customer service is outstanding. Very user friendly interface. I use it to keep track of my FSA expenses, I scan my medical bills and pharmacy receipts to keep track of things that I paid for using my FSA card.

Good app, needs a move to sd option though Until then uninstalled because i need the internal memory If move to sd option added will give 5 stars ------------------- updated to appreciate comment from dev reset phone and only installed apps i need like this one btw can't wait for move to sd option to be added!!!!!!!! this app is actually awesome and i was sad that i had to uninstall it happy to have it back btw a small size app should still have the option to move to sd because not everyone has alot of phone storage available

This app is ideal for managing receipts. There are flaws that urgently need a fix. Example, setting from USD to EUR reverts back to USD every time I turn the app on. Another flaw is that the app doesn't save my budget values and again reverts back to default values.

Will not allow me to input email address or change default settings (locked or unlocked). Samsung Galaxy Note Email entry fix worked but not the budget value entries...does not save my changes. Uninstalling.

Love how Gingerly knows what money spending places are near you so you can just pick and.enter how.much you spent. Then track that against budget. Finally a way to turn budget keeping from something that would be great in theory to something that I axtually do.

Tracking my expenses was something I always wanted to do. But I always end up forgetting. I have tried a number of expense trackers but always end up not using them. Gingerly's key feature is that it reminds you to track expenses. Its the first expense tracker you will actually use.

Just installed and yellow pop ups keep appearing every 5 seconds asking me to rate app. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. If you nag people this much, you're a very bad programmer. God knows what other horrors await people using the app. UPDATE. IT GETS WORSE. Now "powered by foursquare" pop ups every 5 seconds. JUST ADWARE. DONT INSTALL

Expense tracking while travelling is hard. Gingerly is the perfect travel companion. Allows me to keep track of receipts too by taking images.

I thought it would be a nice program. Just that it only allows you to enter a couple places to shop, churches and hotels. I lives here and do not need to stay at a hotel. I go to a church, out of all of them, why is not that one on my list. I tried to switch different places but since they were not on the list, I was not allowed to.

Lacks a basic month or week based tally of expenditures. The GPS business location feature is inaccurate and doesn't allow user input to influence it. Making it increasingly less purposeful as an app. This is amounting to a fancy limited spreadsheet. The GPS business location views should be changeable and toggled on or off. Also users should be able to add a business GPS location when they make an entry or tie into Google maps when they manually input the address. So the GPS location is saved.

Like some other reviewers, I've been having issues with budget amounts reverting to default unexpectedly. My major complaint though, has to do with scanned receipts. As might be expected from photos, they take up a lot of space, and apparently there's no way to store them on an SD card instead of internal memory. IMHO, that's a major flaw.
