GIGABYTE RGB Fusion for Android
Like everyone else here this app doesn't work. I guess it's either hit or miss and it's a miss for me. You shouldn't have to be a network expert well-versed in TCP and UDP ports in order to get the software to work. I built my own computer installed all of the peripherals, installed Windows and configured all the device drivers. But getting this to work is beyond me. I went online to free up the ports and did what they said and it still doesn't work. Main selling point of me getting a gigabyte board was this software. This software is very poorly designed and implemented. Don't waste your time.
UPDATE 9-13-17: I finally got this app to work when I discovered that my phone was on my 5GHz band, but my PC was on the 2.4GHz band. Simply switching my phone to the 2.4GHz band (same as my PC) caused the scan to finally find my PC. I don't know if this will help anyone or not, but I am using the smart connect feature on my D-Link router which combines all 3 bands into one SSID, however the phone and PC still have to be on the same band for the app to work. OP: Does not work. Opened ports in router settings, Windows firewall, and antivirus firewall. Then turned off antivirus and Windows Defender completely, and still the app won't connect or find my PC. Very disappointed.
Works well, but you need to install cloud station server and cloud station to work, then, log in with an account. Nobody told this :( hope to see more apps like this from gigabyte, at least one to see my temps and cpu stats
Of all the apps I have ever used, and having to deal with networks, ports, servers and firewalls on a daily basis, this is the most impossible I have ever had the displeasure to work with. Even after going through extra instruction, and installing extra software (cloud station) etc that I don't want, this app still fails to find my pc. Please remake as at the moment 2/3 of your customers cannot make it work either.
Doesn't work. Never connects. Makes no attempt to explain the error or why it's failed. Contains no information - instructions are useless, only repeating the completely obvious. Cannot understand how a company as huge as Gigabyte releases such consistently terrible software. Luckily I didn't buy my product for the RGB lighting!
Works as advertised on my Z270X GAMING K5. Wold be nice if we had default color selections. For example; I have to struggle to get a true red theme with the color picker.
It works just as I'd expect it to. People who struggle with it are likely not following some simple installation instructions
Can't get it to work even setting up the firewalls. Wont discover my comouter while on same local network. Wish that I could keep my same color setup while I have the scheduled times setup instead of default while only when using scheduled time window.
Got it to work once then when attempting to use it again the app crashes when trying to connect.
I don't really think it's possible to make it work for a non-advanced user

Follow the instructions to open UDP ports on firewall and install the desktop apps for gigabyte appcenter and rgb fusion. Then this works perfectly.
Completely non-functional, you can only use the desktop application...

Little slow but works
Immediately greeted with having to access my network's firewall and try to allow access to the app.

I have tried all sorts of configurations on router, windows firewall and more trying to get this app to connect to my PC. Used to connect fine before I did a fresh start on my Windows 10. I wish I could remember what I did before to get it working but no matter what port forwarding or firewall exception I do it never connects. Garbage IMO. You should not have to jump through hoops while bending over backwards to make an app work.
It doesn't work. It can only scan but doesn't ever find anything. It's been said, but there should be a manual input option.

This app works as advertised on Gigabyte's site but requires a little bit of tweaking to get working. Look at the review of Jon Colón, in here on the app store, to get it working. After the bit of tweaking it works well with the option to set custom lighting profiles and activating them with one tap. However for some reason, the 'wave' lighting mode doesn't work for me on either the pc or the phone. TLDR: Good app to show off to friends, requires a bit of tweaking to work
I followed the Jon Colons portal settings and now it sees my phone, but the functionality is worse than the desktop. In my case I clicked one of the advanced bubbles and it wouldnt go back to basic...It also didnt take into account the RGBW strip.. Worked terrible for me. this on my HTC M9 with Android 7.0.
Jon Colón: UPDATE: In order for this program to work, open windows firewall with advanced security. Under inbound rules click "New Rule" - Click port then next. You need to add TCP 9009, UDP 1980 and UDP 19801. App would be 5 stars if spelling errors were corrected, and more clear instructions were added. I hope this helps! This process worked for me.
Cannot get it to work, followed every step in the reviews and it still won't find my computer. If anyone could help that would be appreciated
Useless. I have opened up the ports on my PC but still the app will not find my install on the computer. Why not allow me to do a manual IP entry like most decent apps do?

Excellent! I was worried about connection before launch the app! but surprising it founds my PC (connected with same router) very quickly..(wifi and LAN both) All functions working great.. I would love to see more functions ..I find out some important issues.. who are facing connecting problem do this.. 1. Install App Center. 2. Install Cloud Station (Server). 3. tick. 'gigabyte remote function' tick all function. and login. 4. make sure ur wifi has 2.4ghz connection 5. connect cpu and mobile on same device. it must work now.
