Gift of Life app allows users across the globe to volunteer as blood donors or to list their requirements in case of an urgent need of a specific blood group. Its purpose is to bring together those who are in need and those who can fulfill the need of this lifesaving requirement.

Yet, blood donation rates vary considerably and the demands for blood and blood products are increasing worldwide. With increasing life expectancy and the subsequent increase in the number of age-related, chronic diseases, including cancers, that require blood and blood products for treatment, demand for blood outstrips supply.
