About giftdoodle - organize gifts
Organising gifts has never been so social, fun and easy!
... and will never be the same!
Giftdoodle helps you and your friends decide on inspired gift ideas, discuss budgets, plan purchases. With giftdoodle, this process is now very easy and truly social!
Because of its positive and structured logic, you will save time and energy whenever you’ll have to organize a group gift purchase, whether it is a birthday party, wedding, baby shower, Christmas, or another important event.
• Create a giftdoodle and invite your friends and family to take part (using Facebook, Google contacts, email or SMS invitations)
• Add ideas and start separate threads of discussions: vote, comment, and discuss about costs specific to each idea;
• Stay up to date with the latest group interactions by managing your notifications.
• Once you agree, any of you can take the initiative of making the purchase and inform the others by simply clicking one button.
• Create wish lists to help your friends and family make useful gifts for your upcoming wedding or birthday party. Share the wish lists, then stop worrying and let them organize themselves on Giftdoodle.
• Keep track of the gifts you offered along the year and make sure you don’t repeat the purchases for the same people, or use them for inspiration in the future.
• For more convenience, Giftdoodle has apps for IOS and Android and also has launched a Web platform and a browser plugin, check them out at: www.giftdoodle.com.

Some users might wonder why we ask for some permissions, so here is why:
• “Prevents phone from sleeping”. This is required that you are able to receive push notifications. To do this while your phone is in stand-by, the application will awake the phone for a few seconds to display the notification.
• “Add/create/find/use accounts on the device”. This is required to store secure account data on your device by accessing Android AccountManager.
• “Read your contacts”: You will be able to invite people to an event by SMS/email, which are being read from your phone.
• “Modify/delete/read contents from USB storage”: We are caching data on your phone, so we don’t retrieve data from the server that often, thus using less of your internet traffic and having a better overall user experience
• “Approximate GPS Location”: This is required by google maps, which is used if you want to add an address for your event.
