substreamer - Subsonic Client for Android
Storing music on the SD-Card doesn't work. "Storage Move Failed" The folders get created, but they remain empty.
Doesn't work with latest subsonic, says it's playing but never actaully plays.
I can not connect the inligging
Dark mode please! :-)
I just installed and I like what I see for now. I'll give it a few days then update my rating accordingly. I'm missing Podcasts access, though. UltraSonic seems to have that feature but it doesn't work and development is stalled. Also, using left/right swipe motions on album art for playback control in NowPlaying views is now a fairly standard paradigm; I was a bit surprised not to see it implemented.
Not sure why but it just stuck at loading artist 20%
Great interface and better features, compared to the official subsonic client. I'm having a few bugs running on my device, but I'm sure they'll get fixed as updates continue. My one request is that the back button quits the client, if pressed accidentally. I've pressed it a few times on the main screen, thinking I was navigating to a prior screen, and had my music stop. Maybe a pop-up stating to "press again to quit" before the app exits.
I really like the interface, and playing music worked well. I wouldn't mind a dark theme though. However, the app didn't show up as a media app in Music boss or Android auto, which is a real deal breaker. Keeping installed to be notified of updates however, as I really do like how everything looks and feels.
Gefting better
Very clean and capable client with only one major flaw. It is virtually impossible to add new tracks to a playlist. The only option available will either create a new playlist or flush all the songs in an existing one. Consequently, one ends up with a playlist per song, which is rather bizarre. It must be noted that none of the alterative android clients addresses the handling of playlists properly.
App installed and I was able to add my server. In settings I tested the connection and it worked. However after it compiled the cache none of my content on the server would load in the app.
Nice try but super, super buggy. A shame really because if the developer paid more attention I'd pay for the app. Lots of unrealized potential.
It looks really promising, but the ability to only manage one server it limiting. I would love to have the ability to have to specify 2 address for the same server like the dsub app. One external (dyndns) and one internal address when i'm at home on my wifi (192.168.?.?). I have to change it manually every time. The d-sub app does this.
I'm using with ampache v3.8.2 and, while I can login and it starts downloading album art, it eventually hangs.
Awesome to see this. Can't wait to put it in through the works :) EDIT: well that was fast. Can't login
Works nice and looks great! Developer was helpful and responsive to issues.
I like the layout but this feels more like a beta version. Playing music through Bluetooth does not push the song information through on Samsung S6 nor can you pause skip and go back. When signing into the server there is no loading or nothing telling you its trying. When you download a playlist it also doesn't show you any status on the download no wheather or not it is actually downloading. The automated playlists also don't work too well. There is a free app called ultrasonic which has far less bugs.
This app would be incredible if it was less buggy. I'm excited to see how it improves in the future.

Could not connect to my 6.1.1 server on my LG V10. Tried my second choice UltraSonic instead, which did connect. edit: changed rating bco constructive reply, though still using UltraSonic
