Gett - Car Service & Rideshare

I personally like Black Taxi more than Uber, although I us ed Uber a lot in the past. The best thing about Black Taxi (at least for London visitors) is that it comes to the place you tell it to come. In comparison, Uber dies not come to a hotel, instead il the app tells you to a few blocks to you taxi which can quickly become Hell if you are not familiar with the area. I never had any such issues with Black Taxi. The drivers are always polite and very knowledgeable. Five stars for the Black Taxi.

This is a good app when it works. Majority of the time the drivers deny jobs simply because they are waiting for people to come out of the airport. I usually have to request a taxi easily 4 times or more before someone accepts. It's like pulling teeth!! Why get a taxi job if you don't accept jobs?!

Highly recommended app for people visiting big UK cities like London, Manchester, Birmingham. Fast service in big cities. Takes time to find a cab and a slow app in relatively smaller places like Nottingham. Overall, is excellent with nice and decent drivers. My such review is based on my usage of this app in London and Nottingham.

Easy enough to use for a reliable taxi! Issues occasionally with the app when it tries to make your pick up location the same as destination. Minor blip but frustrating if you're in a rush.

I've exclusively used Gett since they started! The app and the options have only improved. The drivers are great and the cars always new and clean. I do think their "Deal" option has gotten a bit pointless with the 4 mile limit, though. While the original anywhere in Manhattan for $10 deal wasn't an ongoing feasibility, a greater mile distance would make more sense.

Terrible customer service. Had an issue with a driver not showing up on time and getting charged for being late? Then told to contact TLC with my complaint... Really? Uninstalling ASAP!

They are liars.told me $62 nyc to newark airport when we got there they charged me extra $20 interstate surcharge .plus they don't let you pick the tip amount and they start at 15% .the driver try to solicit high tip percentage. Will not use again

The app itself is fine. The useless meatsacks behind it are on par with a warm bucket of hamster vomit. On a regular day to day you'll be fine as long as you remember that most taxi drivers are the laziest, most greedy and useless wastes of oxygen that you'll ever encounter. Have a protest on the other side of the city? No taxis available. Light rain? No taxis available. Need to actually get somewhere on time? No taxis available. And calling the call centre doesn't help since their support team doesn't actually pay attention to the alerts letting them know that soon-to-be-lost customers are waiting hours for a taxi driver to let them know that they want to work. If you try to be smart and call in, you get wonderful level one support who will tell you that there's nothing that they can do. If you push a little more, you can get a manager who is as useless as a condom in an asexual's wallet, such as Bar 361. That's why I'm writing this review from another company's taxi.

Terrible customer service!!!!! I've been trying to switch the phone number on my account for months now. With their stone age technology they can't even do this simple task for me.

I use the pre booking option a lot which Uber do not have. Great communication prior to taxi arriving and drivers have all been friendly. All good.

Downloaded before i could even put my payment option in or create my account it blocked me so uninstalled dont have time to figure it out probably a prelude to what using service wouldve been

This a really useful app and a much better alternative to Uber. Black cabs are more expensive (rightly) but I seem to get so many vouchers for this that the full cost hasn't kicked in yet anyway.

Good app, however the pick-up points can be inaccurate, often resulting in the taxi trying to pick you up on the next street, or eight houses down, which can be annoying.

Service is not that good in Brooklyn. Takes long time for cars to arrive (more than 10 minutes)

Much better than Uber, if you get a cab in your vicinity you will get good service. App good too. Only problem when there are no cabs around.

Cannot tip post-ride. This is my 2nd ride with Gett. I do not "auto tip." Anywhere. Ever. I wait until AFTER the service has been rendered before I choose tip amount. Just had a GREAT ride and wanted to leave a great tip. Gett doesn't allow tipping after & instead applied the default $0 tip. Horrified, I called customer service. Their app "is not set up to tip after the ride." Huh? WTH? When I insisted on a solution so I could tip the driver, I was told to they've had a lot of complaints about this issue and to "mail it in & we'll make sure he gets it." Um, No. How about you leap into the 21st Century AND FIX THE PROBLEM ASAP? So angry. Canceling my account TONIGHT. (You have to send an email to cancel. By the way, the rep gave me wrong email address. No problem; I kept a copy of the service agreement. It had the address.) I ditched Uber & Lyft for Gett. Back to yellow cabs & Lyft, I guess.

Seems expensive compared to similar services & I can barely get a cab using the app. Regardless of time of day, I have emailed Gett about this twice & essentially got fobbed off each time so not sure what else to do. The one time I was offered discount it wasn't even that good.

This app might be good - but for me it never loads past the splash screen so I don't know

The GPS is a little weird, but that could just be my reception.

Clear, easy to navigate user interface and a fast run time makes this app the go-to choice for organising transport. Fares are displayed well in advance and options to split fares and pay with card are brilliant features.

My driver was great. It seems all the Gett drivers are very courteous.

Can't use this app. Everytime I open it, the screen flickers and says that "user has been blocked" Useless app!

Great taxi app for use in Manchester, fixed price fares are much cheaper than the meter fare option.

Was great but map guidance/direction needs improvement.

Often times there are nothing available nearby, and I ended up using other services.

Don't get this app ever. They cancelled my taxi and sent a message 1 min before scheduled departure. Never will use such bad app. Better use tfl

Cabbies deserve to be swallowed by Uber. I am just next door to watford junction and the app says there are no cabs available, when there are cabs waiting outside.

Very practical but sometimes difficult to catch rides if not ordered in advance with clear destination

I love gett but some of the drivers and a few customer service reps suck but other then that gett is the bomb

Much better than curbed for NYC. Pool is not as good as Uber.
