I can get the app to launch but it won't detect a snap on moto 360 yet

Does what it says. The watchapp does time out after a little bit, leaving the camera opened but snapping stops working to take pictures (because the watch goes into dimmed mode). For quick pictures this isn't an issue really, probably only notice when playing with the app.
