SMSmart - Access Apps Via SMS

Getting directions took a long time. Searches and news you're only getting results and headlines, so no articles or full info unless it's through the wiki. Sometimes wiki didn't have the answer, so overall this app is definitely still in beta stage.

I have tried this by turning my WiFi and Data off - that's the point, right? After waiting five minutes for a stock quote, I gave up. Am I doing wrong? Seems like it's not as advertised. Great idea though - I wish it would work.

It installed correctly. When I try to use it an error appears sms is blocked and the routine will not stop. Never seen It work.

It's not as good as it once was. it isn't fully functional anymore. I've given it some easy search requests like LeBron James and it stalls. The driving directions are accurate but sometimes the whole app stalls.

I just got this apo because the dripper apo said its real good to have. Well all the messages from smsmart are encrypted I guess . what am I doing wrong I don't know how to use this. Helo!!

The app just stays at the "message sent to SMS sever" screen without anything happening, have the servers been shut down?

Developer website is down, their email is returned undeliverable. Abandoned project. I downloaded and installed...tried to sign up and it says I need internet connection and to try again. How do you think I downloaded the app? I am on Wi-Fi.

The app just hangs for me as soon as I search for anything. Major bummer, as the idea is fantastic! Hope they update it again...

Seemed to work for 1 query off of wifi.... Also there is some kind of price for use but it's left a mystery!!

Unable to get through the welcome flow. I get a network error but I have good internet ... I'm writing this review using it.

I had internet connectivity but the app kept prompting me to connect to wifi or hotspot before I could sign up. Good concept but doesn't count for anything unless the app actually works

Idea is great, very useful and I'm looking forward to seeing future updates with more features like being able to see the actual websites within search results but overall works very well for early on. Also would like to be able to check sport score updates

This app is amazing. All it needs is the ability to grab and bring back images. Also more social media services would be cool. Ik Twitter is the easiest, but it's gotta be possible to do Instagram or Google+

Just not what I was looking for..wrong app..I want to remove my email address/phone number from this service.SO I JUST SENT AN EMAIL..AND IT FAILED TO SEND.. BECAUSE THE DOMAIN IS INVALID.

The servers shut down. It doesn't work anymore.

I couldn't have said it better than Mr. Leahy did in regards to RW $10/mo subscribers. I've given it a few tests with the driving directions and they're accurate. I'm shocked that only 10K people have found this application. This application in combination with RW sticks it to The Man.

Great reverse engineering of the existing infrastructure! Sticking it to the big guys with their own old sticks.

i don't know how the texting charges will apply... will it be charged as international texting? ugh that would be expensive...//UPDATE: finally tried, everything worked (still unsure how i am charged though) except for twitter. twitter authentication failed, error message is "There was an error with the pin."

Limited in scope but it is available where data is not and when data is blocked or you are over. If you know what to search for it can answer most questions. Make sure to have text blocking or turn of sounds when you start otherwise the app is annoying as all hell

The app stopped working on my S5. Uninstalled. Doing okay so far on my Note 4.

I LOVE your program! I heard about it through a tech app called Drippler, and downloaded it instantly! I would love to help you get new ideas for your program, and as a small-time computer programmer, I would be glad to assist in any bugs or problems you encounter. I would love to see Wolfram Alpha integration. I know this would cost some money, for the rights on their part, but I'm positive that it would be AMAZING if done. I am amazed at what this little app can do. I have T-Mobile and everybody knows its not the best for travelling. Those 70-80 mile roads in the middle of nowhere without lte can be tricky but with this app I am just in shock. Excellent , incredible all that has helped me travel without lte :)

Great app and glad someone developed the idea I had years ago. Though SMS is insecure. Currently how it is there is no privacy. Submitted an email with suggestions on how to make more secure and private.

I recently switched to Republic Wireless and chose not to have the data option to save lots of money. At first I was worried about not having a tool for directions, news, etc. This app is incredible. I never would have thought SMS could be used in place of 4 or 3g but this app has proven that it is possible. Now back to saving money.

I didn't receive any type of sms and I couldn't use it without wi-fi it's a completely shame.

A great concept, but no longer able to support or connect to twitter, making it a non-starter for me. Initially, it did have twitter integration, but now it only denies authorization. Too bad...

This is every persons dream who is getting data screwed by the big companies who charge an arm and a leg for a GB or 2 of data. Checked out most of the app with impressive results! Directions were fantastic even for a 3 and half hour car ride. It reminds of the days when internet was only really words no pictures but it got the job done. The difference is this is free if you have unlimited texting. I'm considering dropping the data off totally cause WiFi is virtually everywhere if not then bam here ya go.

I can't figure out how to use it. First it said to block/delete the first numbers that come through, then it said they'd text me. Very confused. I haven't given up but just need directions on how to use it.

Needs more tho! I hope the devs add more stuff like a real web browser and maybe link it with Flipboard or something

Tried a few searches and it was fast and worked well. Just lowered my data plan so this should help when I'm not near Wi-Fi.

If you have a low data plan with limited Wi-Fi access you have to get this app

Would be even better if you could make a root option or something where you could use any app threw this

I like this idea a lot. It is slower than using data, but I can live with it

What a fantastic idea. I have unlimited data but it is not equal in quality at times. It would seem the various carriers will be extremely interested to know you and your creative, brilliant minds sooner than later. Thank you for such a needed and amazing app.

But the search only displays results for me. I cannot visit the actual websites. If this feature could be worked in somehow that would be great!

This will be very useful for me, so far it is working as described. I would give it 5 stars if it had the option to open pages when searched for. All there is currently, is a search function that will send you back the top search results and a header but with no way to access the site.

Just found ur app. Definitely one of the more imaginative apps I've found. I have 31 gigs/month of data thru Verizon, but everybody needs a backup. Only complaint so far is that there is no tech news. The tech section is always the first thing I check out in any news app I use. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to see what u guys do with this.

It says I've not got a data connection, even when I'm connected to either WiFi or mobile data.

On this device nor on my Android 4.1.2 which kept asking me to connect to internet even though I was online via Comcast Xfinity.

Republic Wireless, Freedompop, Scratch wireless users or anyone with limited data this is a must.
