Looked amazing at first but the major limitation is the delay of synchronisation of transactions because it cannot sync pending transactions. It's very likely to be an API limitation. 4 stars is not due to this. Although I have donated to the app and not referring it, I wish the app is updated more often. FAQ through the app is still broken. Safely Spend amount is Income - Bills. But when I go through the total safely spent amount, I can't match the amount to what the app calculated. After using the app for two weeks, I manually calculated the Safely Spend amount with 20% savings.

C70%
by C####:

Fantastic app that has helped me track my spendings. A few shortcomings though. The app cannot seem to adjust for pending transactions. This then carries over into the safely spend budget for the next fortnight, causing a misalignment. It then calculates me to be closer to my safely spend limit than I actually am and makes it hard to track actual expenditure. It would be good if dates could be changed for these transactions. The app also does not adjust for inconsistent pay (e.g. I do shift work and my pay changes week to week). It would be good if I could set a consistent savings goal, and my safely spend budget adjusts to suit my pay, bills and savings goals.

updated with 5 star rating to add coles. Shows how hardworking you guys are. Although I had issues in logging in and tried 4 times before I was successful. You only show last one month at the moment. Is that true. Great to have an app that brings together all the banks & cards. Can you please add coles credit card support in the credit cards? That's the only piece left that will make my rating 5.

J70%
by J####:

This app makes tracking your spending very easy as you can log into your accounts. The app then grabs the last 12 months of transaction data from them. Once you've categorised a particular transaction once, it will find similar transactions and apply the same category. If you log in via the browser you can ask the app the 'find' your bills. It will look for expenses that occur regularly. Once bills are identified it will remind you when they're coming up. Highly recommend.

For years I've been using a spreadsheet to work out what I can spend with all my bills taken into account and to keep track of how well I stick to it. It amazed me that I couldn't find an app that did this easily. So thank you! It would be great to see more flexibility with transactions, specifically being able to split one into different categories.

C70%
by C####:

Fantastic app, clearly a lot of work and effort has gone into the functionality of this app. Best budget app I have used by far. Can't work out how to flag car fuel as a reoccurring bill though as always has different transaction name depending on where I buy it. How can I exclude "car - fuel" category from my safely spend amount?

C70%
by C####:

Hi I've contacted you several times in various ways asking to have my bank added (P&N Bank) but it's yet to be added. I'd really like to use the app so if you can please let me know if you can add by bank I'd appreciate it, otherwise I'll need to uninstall. Thanks

O70%
by O####:

Great app! I just wish you were able to add bills without an amount and have it be registered as paid purely by the description that it goes off by in your account, as I'm unable to predict the exact amount for some bills. Other than that, there's few flaws. Really easy to use

C70%
by C####:

Installed and setup on Samsung Galaxy S7. Crashed on changing a category and now won't work despute restarts. Can't even get to remove my personal information before uninstalling. Flaky app doesn't give people confidence for your ability to handle sensitive and secure information!

C70%
by C####:

On the surface, it looked really good. I wanted to try it even though my bank was not supported, and was willing to manually enter my transaction details. Unfortunately, the user interface didn't seem very intuitive when trying to enter my bank account details and transactions / bills. On top of that, the app seemed to be doing weird things with the transactions / bills I did enter. One minute I could use these items as part of the Safely Spend calculations, next minute, I couldn't.

C70%
by C####:

Looked good at first but then found there were a decent number of transactions not imported (including salary). Can't change safely spend from weekly to monthly (doesn't save). Manual account option doesn't let me add transactions manually for my credit card that isn't yet available to link.

C70%
by C####:

Pretty good, would like it to sync more often but understand why cos of security. Would really like to choose the week start day, atm it seems to run Wednesday to tuesday but I have other things such that week start is Monday, inconvenient that this app doesn't match. Also maybe limiting how much to spend on particular categories, having a savings goal with updates on hiw much saved, etc, would be cool

C70%
by C####:

Had a few teething issues with the app which were resolved with an uninstall and reinstall. I love the control and stress this takes out of my budgeting. Once you set it up, it's very intuitive so you know exactly what you have to spend on a weekly or monthly basis.

Z70%
by Z####:

It is useful to see all account balances in one spot. The analysis of spending and spending limit functionality is a bit confusing and not great. I also find it takes a really long to sync and messes up the app. Overall if the above glitches were fixed I'd give it 5 stars.

B70%
by B####:

Good app, just the FAQ's currently seem to be broken. Have contacted developers through the contact link. Not sure yet how to change the monthly saving graph to link with my pay cycle but otherwise really great and easy to use. Hopefully I'll be able to better track spending and see where my money haemorrhaging is happening!

K70%
by K####:

Far too buggy and laggy. Rather surprised given the favorable reviews. Keeps crashing when I attempt to categorize transactions and the pin function is prompted for almost every other action making it a nuisance of a security feature.

F70%
by F####:

Most features are nice but for some reason this has been burning through my battery since the last update. Almost brand new Galaxy S7. In perspective, it's using more of my battery than even my SCREEN. Please fix. ** (This appears to have since been fixed, so I have adjusted my review)

H70%
by H####:

Many aspects of the interface are non-intuitive and confusing. I'd gladly look up the FAQs to learn more but the links are just 404s. From the other reviews on here I can see this has been the case for several months now... How long does it take to fix a couple of dead links?

C70%
by C####:

Great app overall. But really annoying quirk is that when you enable PIN or fingerprint login. Whenever you do any action in the app it asks for your verification. I'm putting in my thumb print at least 20 times each time I go through my spending and categorise my purchases! Super annoying. Please make it on a user set timeout or a once per session basis!

C70%
by C####:

1. I should be able to edit categories in the app itself. 2. I should be able to edit and delete the default categories, I find this particular constraint extremely annoying, it makes the categories much messier and complicated, I don't understand why these are locked in. 3. I should be able to access all my transactions, back further than the current month-ish limit. Again, why this constraint?

T70%
by T####:

It just became incredibly complicated and demands more and more time to keep it updated, which is exactly what it wasn't doing before. I'm sorry but I have now deleted the app and requested all my information to be removed.

C70%
by C####:

The major advantage is Bank accounts synching, drawnback is less individual data manipulation options in mobile app. Other apps have more data manipulation formats irregardless of tedious data inputing. The increased data manipulation optiond will allow individual data permutations to suit their needs. I hope this will be done asap as data output is more important than data input. On a high note, the app is the best and has potential to deliver more.

C70%
by C####:

I really like the import from bank account. Makes it really quick to setup. Still a bit confusing and hard to change some things but getting there. Badly needs landacape/tablet support.

D70%
by D####:

Love the idea and how the app works, and syncs with the bank accounts which is great. It stopped syncing with my account for a number days after I installed and set it up. It works now, but crashes a lot. It is more an inconvenience than anything. It is a solid budgeting app.

R70%
by R####:

Good app but I'm unable to display anything monthly. No matter what I change, it reverts back to weekly immediately after the changes are made. Would appreciate if this was fixed.

T70%
by T####:

Terrible app wouldn't let me load my bank of qld info. Kept asking for secondary id information and also fill in all fields. Sometimes you cant fill i all fields.....wasted my time...dont download its crap.

C70%
by C####:

Showed a lot of promise initially but they haven't developed upon it. Crap feeds and visualisations, a lot of potential for innovation in data display that was wasted. You can't even set the start date for a budget cycle from the app.

B70%
by B####:

The bank sync and overall presentation of this app are awesome. I'm looking for the ability to see 1 month in advance projected balances per account so I don't go into arrears. I'd also like to see the rolling balance when viewing a transaction summary. The account balance shown at the top of each account is incorrectly showing the balance of all accounts.

N70%
by N####:

Found it incredibly confusing and limiting on the info you can input. I think I'll stick with the spreadsheet I normally use. I would have preferred manual choices rather than automated choices you have to choose from as they are limiting. After inputting my expenses and income, According to this app I have a savings performance of just over $800 after spending $900 of my income of just over $1000. If only that could happen in real life.

C70%
by C####:

This app has so much promise, but remains unfinished. Navigation remains difficult and many features are lacking. For example, if you are prompted to set up a pin, you can't go back. You either have to exit the app or set up a pin. If you do opt for the pin, it will be requested for every action you do. Also lacking is the ability to check back more than 2 months of history. This is very problematic for new users as they cannot categorise all of their spending. Hopefully this will work soon. 3/5.

C70%
by C####:

Very practical to track expenses. What frustrates me is the lack of features generally speaking. It's almost too simple. Would love to get some add-on, analysis of money coming in for example.

L70%
by L####:

The app is so simple to get started with, and provides useful visualisations on the areas your money is going to. It has definately found a place in my money management process.

C70%
by C####:

Simple app useful for tracking where your hard earned dosh is going. I don't use the budget functions, as I've been using a different method for a while that doesn't seem to be in here, but this is still great for making sure I'm sticking to the budget and reminding me just how much those little things cost. Love the bank integration.

C70%
by C####:

Updated review. Changed from 4 to 5 stars. Thanks for adding 28 Degrees CC in such short time! Best budget app I've come across so far. An additional widget so cash expenses could be added without launching the app would make this perfect. Keep up the great work!

N70%
by N####:

Great idea, but: using a PIN makes it ask far too often (e.g. navigation from one screen to another when within the app). Category management is also not great. TBH, pretty uncomfortable about the idea of handing over bank login details too, particularly when I'm almost certain that Pocketbook wouldn't have the insurance to deal with losses due to password database theft. Update: apparently there is export in the web interface.

C70%
by C####:

Has tones of potential. These guys have listened to their customers and responded. It is and will be a killer app. The new update is amazing. Always knew it would be great. You guys over delivered this time.

C70%
by C####:

Keeps dropping out as I am setting up categories and FAQ's are not working at all. Will see how it goes over time.

C70%
by C####:

Great concept. Never loads accounts properly. Added one account, got three errors, forgot about it. Loaded up the program to find three of the same accounts. Attempt to delete. There's a problem.

C70%
by C####:

Great app and like the security option of having a pin. However, why does it ask for a pin twice in a row whenever doing anything? I think I entered a pin 12 times to do 3 things...

C70%
by C####:

The app is already great, but the Website is super powerful. Since almost all my financial movements are through transactions (so no cash), I can keep track of my finances sooo easily now. Thanks for this free to use software!
